Stabilization whilst Wounded.

so we cant bandage ourselves as we are literally on deaths door but a single roll of bandages can save us? I can understand why you wouldnt want this I just think its a bit odd is all.
As I mentioned before, bleedout basically just ICly means you're unconscious or too injured to do anything. You have to rely on someone to help you. Not sure why some would want this sudden change when it's been fine. If people are just able to heal themselves then there truly isn't much risk when you get into a firefight. And in my honest opinion if they're allowed to do that then you might as well let them walk about if they are capable of healing themselves. I feel like that this entire suggestion is just completely unneeded and if (somehow) implemented it'll complicated a few things. We're fine as is.

I think instead of stabilization during bleedout, it should be permitting people to heal themselves during combat under the stipulation that the healing rate is slowed down by half. It would allow you to at least gain a pip of health back and continue fighting just a bit longer, while maintaining the inability to heal yourself when downed and whatnot. If you're still up and can fight, you can prolly patch yourself up, like jab a morphine syringe or something into yourself, or bandage yourself to staunch bleeding so that you don't pass out from blood loss after the fight ends.

This doesn't make any sense from a Realistic perspective. You can't just use a Banadge after getting shot 3 times from 9mm. Also Morphine only takes the Pain away from the individual, it doesn't heal you so you will bescially continue bleeding out.

So you just proved what it would be used for. Pain is the inhibitor to fight. Remove it - you can not only stabilize your bleeding but remain in the fight that much longer. I think you believe that a single gunshot puts you out of commission during the fight, but any marine ever would disagree with you. Sure, they're acclimated to combat but I don't think they get shot as training, do they?

Point is, self-stabilization is very much realistic during combat. Don't assume that I mean bandages would fix the issue, they wouldn't. All they would do is extend the timeframe which you have to seek proper medical attention. Also, 9mm? It causes the least damage in it's travel path whereas rifle rounds have much more velocity and kinetic energy, causing wider wound canals and much more damage. Getting shot 3 times by 9mm is fucking nothing in terms of combat, especially considering most rebels in serious gunfights don sufficient protection from such a low caliber. There's a reason nobody uses pistols in combat against armored players, because even in realism pistols would be ineffectual on someone protected from the caliber in the most common area to aim for, that being center mass. You typically don't have much time to line up a domeshot.

Yes I do infact believe that 1 Single Bullet can indeed be the End of a living Person.
( Headshot lmao)

Anyway I don't believe your Char in RP is a Marine, or has any Proper Military Training or Education. So a normal Human Being would be in shock after getting shot or would Panic in Combat.

Additionally, what is this insistence on realism? You do realize TBC and S2K has little to no realism involved?

Good sir, have you heard of adrenaline and the fight or flight response? Hesitation pretty much melts with that. And again, realism doesn't come into play here. The discussion is of stabilization during TBC and S2K, this is a non-argument.

There are plenty of cases of robbers taking multiple shots from pistols and still going after shop keepers. Of victims of active shooters surviving after being shot. To make the assumption "Oh I got hit with a 9mm bitch round Ig I'll just die" Is too broad a stroke. If it were a 5.56 or a 7.62 or any rifle/slug round then I'd be more inclined however even then people have survived rifle rounds Look at alot of the trials in recent news where people were shot with AR15's. It's not a death sentence and it shouldn't always be especially when you're armored and carrying sufficient medical gear + have decent med skill.

Exactly. And even so, again, realism is irrelevant here. If you can get shot in the head by a rifle and live the realism takes the back seat at the end of the hall.

I've mag dumped cops point blank in the head with an MP7 And an AK before and they shrug it off like its nothing bruh.
Both times they still managed to keep coming at me and kill me, And I think this type of shit knowingly emboldens CP mains to charge ahead like retards and spray you down. Considering headshots do next to fuck all unless you're packing a king cobra

It's primarily the fact that in S2K/TBC you take more bullets than is possible and stay alive as is. Though my argument rests in not stabilizing yourself when you're down on the ground and near death, but moreso when you are still on your feet and able to fight. Limiting it to things like bandages, injectables and whatnot would keep it balanced, even in the case of biogel and whatnot, assuming it's an injectable and not an applicable substance.
I wholeheartedly agree with the inability to heal yourself when you are almost dead and bleeding out, but not when you're still on your feet and can fight.

EDIT: Perhaps adding some form of cooldown on healing items would permit stabilization while also not allowing those who carry a fuckton to just never die, while also keeping the slow healing rates.

You are kinda right about the shock but tbh most 'normal' people can push past it BUT you are right with the military training and in some cases the panic as well

Tbh if you're already in a firefight, you're prolly not gonna panic more if you're shot than the panic of being in a gunfight.

you have so many points to make about this, you've even mentioned some, like here.

yet you keep doubling down on the one that is undoubtably false. seriously. there's like 10 posts in this thread alone explaining why the whole "panic and adrenaline" "fight or flight" etc. is fake. i even wrote half a medical article on it

for the love of god just let it go

YOU CANT BE TRAINED TO BE SHOT AND NOT BE INCAPACITATED (to respective degrees depending on context)

IF I SEE ANYTHING ABOUT MILITARY BACKGROUNDS AGAIN I WILL HUNT DOWN THE FREEMAN MYSELF

edit: medigel is an appliable substance (as far as I have been trained in it)
