After the Events of PARADISE LOST, the Stalkers returned to Sector Ten, continuing their pursuits of money, power, and status. What they believed would be a ripe job market, instead, was rotting from the inside. The main organizer and middleman of the resistance, Nullwick, has gone MIA and is commonly believed to have met his end, either from the Combine or the same freedom fighters he so desperately tried to micro-manage. Without the presence of Nullwick, these factions began vying in a constant power struggle between one another to come out as the top dog. Tensions brewed between the two main groups, namely the Liberators and the Front. War spilled out, and the Liberators were crushed after a long, arduous battle; the remnants either defected to the other side or were slaughtered for their allegiance.

During this time, the Stalkers stuck to the shadows, watching with keen interest as the competition took itself out. While they were busy bickering, the Stalkers took it upon themselves to seize power outside of their watchful eyes, committing highway robberies and enjoying the spoils of war. However, with the Liberators out of the picture, the Stalkers could no longer hide. Inquiries began into who exactly was perpetrating these heinous crimes against their fellow man. At times, they got close, with one of the Stalkers being confronted, almost kidnapped on these suspicions, and yet the truth remained just out of their grasp, the Stalkers being two steps ahead of them at all times.

With the Front left debased and weakened after their conflict, the Stalkers decided they were to hide no longer. Confrontation finally took place in the Outskirts of i17, where two groups of four lined up, side by side, with their weapons in hand. Talk did not last long as the Leader of the Syndicate, Aleksei Lukyan, ordered their deaths. The battle lasted as long as the feeble attempts at talks did, three of the four men lay helplessly on the ground, the other - their leader - fled and left her men to the wolves. One was dead upon impact, the other two were at the mercy of the Stalkers, forced to play a cruel game to decide their fates. They were both spared in the end, opting to instead save their bullets for the impending full force assault of the Front.

The Outlands exploded into battle, hails of gunfire rained down as a group of five men, outmanned and outarmed, fought valiantly, pushing the front to the ropes and having them retreat into their base. The Combine watched from the sidelines, perfectly content with watching the resistance forces destroy each other once again. This was a battle the Stalkers could've won if they wished, but the price outweighed the reward. They attempted an escape, taking a supply car with them and driving off as far as they could. The Front chased after them, but thanks to the brave sacrifice of Lukash, the remaining trio escaped.

The trio, consisting of Kaptian, Kosti, and Beanie, now embarks on a journey to seek Refuge in St.Petersburg, now controlled by Kosti's old friend and rival Vasili. But as the three will soon come to learn, Actions have consequences...

(This will be the final arc of the Stalker Syndicate before the reset in V3. I would also like to extend this expo invite to the Front/Shepards, as they have unfinished business with the Stalkers. How many will be allowed in the hitsquad depends on balancing, but will probably be around the same as the Stalkers, that being three. DM me for more information.)
