0007
VOSTOK STATION, ANTARTICA.
-66°

!!READ INFORMATION SPOILERED!!

Multiple independent cells from across the world have begun to rely on the Intranet.

The station in the Arctic where you’ve settled has already become a lifelong endeavor—passed down from the generation that first constructed it in 1957—and has operated year-round ever since.

Originally, the station served as a relay point, transmitting additional radio signals and forwarding orders between cells. However, it remained largely unknown to most, leaving it short on food, water, and heat while still maintaining research and communication efforts.

During the era of Terminal Seven, Nullwick—one of the leading rebel figures—required long-distance communication. A few years ago, he reached out to you with an offer:

"Supply Terminal Seven with 24/7 radio activity and maintenance, and we’ll provide you with knowledge of other cells to help you expand—along with food, water, and other necessities.”

It was a mutually beneficial deal that strengthened both sides, transforming your outpost into a growing hub for rebel communications across the globe.

Res-7 became the main station under your care, though you continued to assist numerous other cells. Many either paid for your services or traded shipments of supplies in return.

Years passed, and Terminal Seven—under Nullwick’s leadership—became your primary ally, almost functioning as a combined cell. With the supplies, training, and shared resources over time, You've evolved into a well-organized, highly active communications center—all thanks to the man at the top.

Your character should have the following in mind.

You do not know of Nullwicks Death.

It's been three weeks.
Three weeks and nothing has been sent over.

No food, fresh water -- It almost seems like you've been forgotten.

1760722738315.png

Nullwick sent out orders, the reason why you're alive.
Without additional repair equipment, it's been harder and harder.

You don't know what happened to Nullwick.
You don't know why he's left you to rot.

1760722999698.png

The only option you have now is to forward an S.O.S signal.
It might take days, even a week for it to send out.

Yet -- You haven't gotten this far for it all to end.
For all of this effort to the Resistance to be nothing.

Only question left is ..
Do you still have the will to fight?

You do? Good.

CONSOLE OPERATOR
(0/1)

You're one of the most important -- Without you, the entire station will pretty much be useless.
You are highly trained with command prompts, tech and overall console operation.

You will be taking over the "VOID" System, the main guts of REC-7.
It's automated system has gone haywire, you have to operate it by hand.

WEAPONRY OPERATOR
(0/1)

You're the weapon operator.
You are in charge of activating/disabling turrets, filling ammunition and ensuring 0007 stays secure.

You have elevated permissions and status -- The on-field law and order.
You can go anywhere you please and order how you please, given it keeps the peace.

REPAIR OPERATOR
(0/1)

You are second to most important in this entire station.
You are in charge of keeping everything and anything in working order -- Inside, outside, doesn't matter.

Server goes down? You're in charge of finding that faulty wire.
Heating goes fuck-aroo? You're in charge of fixing it.

Without you, the entire station may as well be scrap.

SURVALANCE AND COMMUNICATION OPERATOR
(0/1)

You're in charge of surveillance and communication.
You are given the only Camera-Hud the station currently has.

Your tasks include.
Forwarding information to the Weaponry Operator.
Forwarding messages from the Console Operator.
Informing the Repair Operator of site malfunctions.
Ordering and ensuring supplies.

In short -- You're the manager of this station.
All other operators have receive-only radios, meaning you are the only one who can give information.

DOB: 09/12/1982
Role: Weapon Operator — Res-7, Vostok Station

Background:

Elias Kovach, known by the call-sign “Grain”, was born in the outskirts of Kraków with a quiet childhood broken by the Combine invasion of Earth. He was only a young man when the Seven Hour War began. He watched the sky burn and cities fall, and when the surrender came, his world became a curfew of ration lines, scanners, and silence, however, this was life for everyone now.

His father, once a machinist, was conscripted to build infrastructure under Combine oversight. His mother, a translator for the old Polish communications bureau, disappeared during the early relocations. Elias kept his head down, fixing equipment in underground workshops that doubled as resistance safehouses. In a world where many of those with pre-war value were nothing, his skills made him important.

By the late 2010s, he joined a small rebel group known as Dustline, operating through Eastern Europe. They scavenged broken Combine tech and smuggled information between hidden cells, slipping encrypted bursts through derelict transmitters and radio masts long forgotten by the regime. They weren’t soldiers, they were signal ghosts. Maybe in another life this would have been a mundane and solitary life, however in this would where the exciting life of armed resistance ends in death or you live the endlessly boring and meaningless life of a citizen under occupation; this life was gold dust.

When a Combine sweep targeted their frequency in 2020, Dustline was wiped out overnight. Elias survived by following the escape protocol he’d drilled into his crew for years. Step for step. Breath for breath. He never looked back.

Weeks later, a reply pinged on his emergency channel, not from his people, but from Nullwick, the voice behind Terminal Seven. The message was simple:

“You’re not done yet. Report to Vostok Station. Intranet needs a signal.”

Elias was transported to the coordinates across a frozen wasteland to Res-7, one of the oldest functional relay stations left on the Intranet network. There, buried under meters of Antarctic ice, he found his new purpose: keep the world connected. Keep the guns online. Keep faith in Nullwick.

Over the years, Elias transformed Res-7’s defense systems into an extension of himself, manually tuned, recalibrated, armed against man, storm, and silence. The isolation didn’t break him. It refined him. To most, the Arctic is emptiness. To Elias, it’s order, a place where the machines obey, and chaos freezes before it reaches the door.

Now, the transmissions have gone dark. Nullwick’s signal, silent for three weeks. The food’s almost gone, the filters have failed, and the only thing still running at full power are the turrets.

But Elias refuses to believe it’s over.

“Nullwick’s not dead. The line’s just frozen.
Until it thaws, I'll keep the guns warm.”

Quiet. Measured. Lives by the hum of a turret motor and the click of a safety. Believes in order, hierarchy, and Nullwick, in that order. Doesn’t waste words; doesn’t tolerate chaos. The station breathes because he makes it breathe.

Two days left to apply; if less than two people apply, the event will be cancelled.

Event is closed and canceled — My deepest apologies for anyone who applied and did not get to attend this event.

The reason is of course — Lack of players and player interaction.
