Okay, I'm gonna put this here knowing it'll very likely be denied. I just want to see people's reactions and criticisms of it

If an OTA dies, they're out. Let me explain

On average, we'll say a mid-tier rebel takes about 2 months to grind and RP for. High-tier, we'll give it 3 with some admin assistance along the way with expeditions and such.
On average, an OTA member takes about an hour to fill out an application and get accepted.

With the number of benefits OTA are given, and with how easy it is to have months of IRL time wasted as a rebel caught up in a sweep, I personally don't believe it's fair on rebel RP that OTA are given no consequences for dying. OTA should be encouraged to use tactics and tread cautiously. Right now, they don't need to. If you die, you respawn and have lost nothing. If your ill-equipped enemy dies, they lose months of work. This is unfair.
An hour of application-ing is absolutely nothing in comparison to the amount of work and time wasted by a rebel dying in a raid.

So, OTA should be dewhitelisted and put back to CP if they die. If you die, you die. I personally don't see why anyone would really disagree with this, but go on and reply regardless.

I think pretty much all or most staff agree that OTA are pretty much event characters which also, like any other WL's are there to assist Citizen RP, whether they're rebels or not. AFAIK there have been attempts to make OTA less common by making vorts less dangerous so CP's can handle them and whatnot, but I haven't been on the server recently and I can't confirm if OTA have been made more of the rarity they're supposed to be.

From what I know, OTA have always meant to have been an event faction, but OTA don't think so and nobody really does anything to enforce that.

I see where you are coming from Adam, I really do; however, the issue with this is numbers. Now, I know you mention OTA dying; we haven't had many of that, and this would make sense. However, OTA players do play their CP as well. I really do feel like a system like this could work but an alternative system would have to be discussed, as a de-whitelist system imo, would do more damage then could. :)

In good fun, but in general dewhitelists over deaths is a massive middle finger to people. Even as someone who pushed for more punishment for Overwatch causalities - this is quite a bit too far.

It's worked fine on a fairly successful server in the past. I'd say that losing months of work over a death is a massive middle finger to people. OTA need more consequences.

I'm not gonna put faction leads through the misery of such. From a OOC management standpoint this is a nightmarish thing to go through. Gonna need to deny it!
