CHARACTER TRAITS
szczery.png
HONEST - He has very little to hide among most of his peers, or people he works with (excluding Loyalists, Cops etc.), usually telling the truth, admitting to doing things that he has done, and trying to avoid lying or avoiding consequences.
Ufający lub zaufany.png
TRUSTFUL - generally, trusts people that he meets and recognizes. While wary, if he sees people working with him, or willing to, or well, showing off their good sides, he will be generally friendly and trusting towards them.
ciężkopracujący.png
HARD WORKING (WORKAHOLIC) - Tadeusz can't just sit around and do nothing, he has to be doing things! Wether that's fishing, cooking, prepping food, buying ingredients, making weapons, doing business, offering food to people, scavenging and going on expeditions, all while putting big amounts of effort into things he does! Issue is...
niecierpliwy.png
IMPATIENT - His constant need to do things, and also his previous life experiences, have caused Tadeusz,to be quite an impatient person. HE constantly has issues with people not doing things quick, and if he wants to do something he does it IMMEDIATELY, or as fast as possible. This, can cause him to forget things, or come ill-prepared.
Hoarder.png
HOARDER (SUPPLIER) - Tadeusz, has a tendency to overly keep numerous items and loot inside of his own storage or bags, just... Holding onto them, until situation comes up. This means he often has to throw away things, or break them, without thinking about what could be used later. He also, holds lots of things without need to do it, simply because he wants to "share" with his fellows.

CHARACTER BACKSTORY

EARLY LIFE
WarszawaLata80.jpg
Born on November 12th 1984, shortly before Communism's fall, and Poland's (sort of) regaining of independance, Tadeusz Wachnicki, was a son of a Fisherman father and a Cook mother, providing him with a relatively simple, and good childhood, and younger teen years, without many struggles in their lives. During and after highschool, he often would assist his parents in their work, learning their respective skills, and obtaining the knowledge they had, letting him use them by himself. Being the sole child, of rather supportive, if a bit strict parents, made him both anxious, but also very willing to meet and find other people, which was quite common back in his school days.

BMI - SEVEN HOUR WAR

Not much has happened in this period for him specifically, that hasn't happened to other people. Portal storms happened, mass hysteria, evacuations, all with his family, including the 7HW, and the Combine takeover of Earth. Thankfully, until few years after, he would try to get used to the new environments.

OCCUPATION OF WARSAW (CITY 14) / BEGINNING OF ANTI-CITIZEN ACTIVITIES

Zrzut ekranu (1963) — kopia.png
Years after Combine's invasion and takeover of Earth, Tadeusz would try to work out his position, due to his skills, and his parents' skills being no longer needed in big quantities, this has caused struggles in the family, which unfortunately, made him and his parents, struggle heavily. Attempting to find work, or even operate underground, was often met with troubles, as while their skillsets were useful, none really considered them at the time, generally forcing them to simply live a grey, typical life like the rest of hte citizens. Eventually, after some time h his parents ended up being caught in some "illegal" activities, and "relocated" elsewhere afterwards. The mundane day to day activities, alongside the general depression of the area, at first, didn't take much of a toll on him, as he still tried his best. However, upon learning of his parents' true fate... It broke something in him...

Silent vandalism, small activies of fighting back, and general activities AGAINST the oppressor, while trying not to be seen, landed him in City 14's (Warsaw's new name) Rebellion circle... There, he met his love, a soon-to-be Anna Wachnicka (Then Pilak). While practicing anti-citizen activities, they bonded, while also getting to know each other, and slowly, fall in love... Not many details are known (Tad refuses to share), but all that's known, is they had a secret wedding in the underground, but sadly, their happiness wouldn't last long.

Underground, is where he also earned his nickname of "Grom" which was based on his quick-thinking, acting and striking, just like thunder (which is what grom means), a far-cry from his current self.

EASTERN REBELLION - UPRISING AND DESTRUCTION OF CITY 14

Years later,in 2009, once EASTERN REBELLION'S influence, and effects arrived onto territories of Poland, the Polish Underground of City 14 began it's strikes around the city's region and numerous locations, covering up a decent size of it. At first, even winning the early engagements! Tadeusz, aka. Grom and his wife, were members of a offensive team that travelled through the sewers and the river, striking outposts and on-the-river Combine bases. They, and the rest did well! Until it went to shit...
warszawahl2.png
Few weeks later the Combine started doing "scorched earth" and pulling out the big guns, The Underground and Rebellion of the City started to struggle, having to work more well, underground, and in the sewers, being unable to fight back on proper terms, causing losses in resources AND people. Grom had to come up with something else to do, due to lack of combat possibilities, which is how he learned and improved his leech and fish-catching techniques, and cooking, that he still uses to this day, while his wife Anna was still in the lines. Time and time, they reunited and kept on spending time together, until Combine finally said enough.

City 14 was soon met with the power of TRANSHUMAN Forces and the overwhelming power and pressure of Mortar fire and Synth forces, causing immense losses to the Underground and civilian numbers, turning the tide of the Skirmish and Uprising to the side of the Alien Empire. Making the City, including sewers no longer anything remotely safe. The eventual fall of the Uprising, and it's inevitable defeat, caused many of the residents to escape via. underground trains.. Those who made it lived, those who didn't, where never seen again. And sadly Anna was never seen again.

IT IS PRESUMED THAT 95% OF CITY 14's RESIDENTS (UNDERGROUND/REBELS, VORTS AND CITIZENS) was exterminated during the Uprising, and the City itself, began rebuilding soon after - The Uprising lasted only 3 months.

FLEEING FROM 14 - PITSTOP AT I24 - LIVING IN CITY 8
editedthing.jpg
This is where information regarding Tadeusz gets both bigger, and also smaller. His escape from 14, and very likely presumed death of his spouse, caused massive damage to his mind, making him, and many others alike, unable to cope. After the fights have ended, and the survivors that made it out of the City, were transported to one of the last Rebel Forts in the region (location only known by Tadeusz). In there, some stayed, and the rest, including Tadeusz, moved down south by river. What happened afterwards to the remnants at the Fort, is not known (recovered photo above). The other remaining 5% of survivors (if that), spread out around the region of Europe afterwards, either giving up on Rebel activities, or joining the locals in their efforts.

Tadeusz himself, became way more anxious, calm and non-combat looking. This didn't help him, as he had to travel around Europe, to find himself a place, which he kept struggling with. He made a small "pitstop" at I24... Until, you know, it's destruction, where he caught up with Rebel and refugee convoys, that were headed outside of it. Sadly, his part of it got hit with some mountain debris, while casualties were low, they were forced to reach the outlands Rebel outpost by foot, which he did! But again, at the day of them leaving. However, this is where he met Scoutter and Weld that invited him onto Leucocytes of Geneva, which he is a part of to this day.

After arriving to City 8 via. the sea on boats with the rest of his group, they had to look around the place, and find their places, and while still getting used to the new region, he, himself managed. He found himself some activities in the forms of fishing and Xen flora collecting, met people, provided help for Leucocytes, and started a decent cooperation initiative towards the local KAMIKO FAMILY of the Yakuza, by providing them with fish. Now, the calmer, and more experienced Grom resided in City 8, doing whatever he can to help himself, his allies, in hopes, that if another City 14 happens, it will end... Better.

Currently, he and many other Rebels have evacuated out of City 8, due to... Certain problems.

PIT STOP AT THE CITY DOCKS
PitSpotExpoPic.png

Grom and his fellow Leukocytes alongside some other Resistance members, managed to get out of City 8 on a boat, which, thankfully, allowed them to avoid most of the Combine patrols, troops and other aspects of them, due to their way of travel. However, due to having to refuel, as the Captain pointed out, they had to make a pit stop at an old Combine city, namely, it's Docks.

It was going to be a quick operation... However, it proved to be more troublesome than initially thought. Not only were there still some remnants of Combine in the area, but also, lots of Necros, alongside OSHA hazards... Their relatively lengthy time spent there, came to bite them in the ass, as while they were trying to flee, a Hunter Chopper came up, followed up by Overwatch troops. Thankfully, they managed to fend off both... And continue their journey.

TERMINAL 7 - COLD, COLD RETURN TO MAINLAND - CURRENT CHAPTER

Zrzut ekranu (2410).png

Needless to say, Grom's return to Mainland proved less than great... As upon reaching shore, he, and his fellow Resistance members had to split up, and attempt to blend in alongside Citizens that arrived via. larger ship and the train. Now... He and others have setup, found their surroundings but, it is not easy... The cold, lack of food, drinks, and materials is proving problematic...

The recent events, regarding both the repair of the Radio Tower, and, numerous Xen invasions and attacks on the Terminal, have been causing the ruckus for Grom's situation. Granted, his now stable job (At Baltic Cafe), and status, lets him focus on his own things, while helping others on the side... However, the situation is so wild, who knows how it will go down. Soon, hopefully, the situation gets better.

THE END...

Wrong time, at the wrong place... Oh, poor Grom. Wether he said something he shouldn't have, misspoke, or, made a mistake of standing by his beliefs... Who knows. The result is the same however, his perishment...

Remember City Fourteen boy, may you see your wife and family once more on the other side...

RELATIONSHIPS
(Ask to be added!)

LOVE / FRIEND / ACQUAINTANCE / RESPECT / NEUTRAL / DISLIKE / HATE

Anna Wachnicka
I miss you so much...

Wildcard
@The Sniper

A close, and good friend. While she is not often around, considering the trust and respect others have towards her, I feel the same way.
I believe in her plans, speeches and ideas, and she seems to appreciate what I do as well, which I like, some mutual respect and trust, and also, she seems to care about us... Bit too much, but maybe I'm just missing something!

Scoutter
@Stanislaw

A fellow countryman, fellow Pole, it feels good to see one, not gonna lie, after all this time. One of the first people I met, and one of the few people I can feel at home, and like nothing changed... Same language, culture, and much more. He's also overall, a man I really enjoy the company of, even if sometimes he speaks too much! Just like me I guess. While he is often out in the field, or doing something somewhere else, it's always good to see him back in the base.

Gabriel Ainsworth / Mr Worldwide
@NanCi_

One of the few people local to the area (kind of) that I have managed to achieve some sort of relationship and contact with. Assistant and member at the local Establishement back in 8, he is the one I met up with, to discuss my potential "work" with providing their establishment (The Den) with fresh fish and leeches for food. Combining that with the occasional times we've had to talk, while we're not really "friends" he is a person I respect, and hold in a decent regard.

Alys
@FieldersNL

A kind and well-meaning woman, one of the better people I've met in a long while. She is not only a overall nice person to spend time with, but she is always willing to help, wether it's making something, someone having wounds, needing food, water, or anything like that, she always is willing to help. Not to mention, the things she does? It's something I would never have balls for myself.

Weld

The man I first met back in the older days, that helped me a bunch, while we were on the way to C8, and first few days in it. I trust him, and I think he is a good man, but ever since our arrival I haven't seen him in a pretty damn while, so I don't know what else to think, generally though, positive views.

Raphael / Detective
@mmate88
While not a part of my closest circle, he often comes to the place, and speaks with us and spends time with us. However, generally, he is too busy either doing his own things, or... Burying someone. Because of those things, and him not really being affiliated, while I don't SUSPECT HIM of anything, it won't hurt to be a cautious, just in case.

The Dragon
The owner (I think) of some sort of high quality Establishement and my sort of "employer" when it comes to providing it (the previously mentioned "The Den") with fish among other things. While we really interacted... Once, I do respect him, and try not to be in any negative light, or be dumb enough to cause ruckus. Not super keen on him yet, but I mean, he won't do anything to me, yet, as I am proving somewhat useful. And besides, wouldn't want to anger him or others.

Specs

I don't know too much about her, but as a person I seen a lot, and a friend of my friends she is well, definitely not an enemy, but we don't talk too much, sadly, we don't see eye-to-eye (quite literally), so aside from her being a vegetarian (can't share my fish with her SHAME) I can't really add much regarding her. She's good though.

Sam / Samurai I'm so sorry...
@RoLeX
Similarly to Specs, there is not much I can say about Sam. She seems to be a local, or at least Japanese, which helps us with translating and also just going around the place, which is nice. Few times that we interacted with one another, she has showed to be a nice person, but again... Not much else to go over. Maybe if I get around with her more, and such, I will be able to say more.

One-Eye
@Jumbi-sama
I met him a while ago in another place, similarly to Weld and Scoutter, and just like them, ever since then, I been keeping in touch well, especially since we both walk around the place, and know it relatively decently. He is also a friend of ours, so I often let him come in to drink some tea or just talk in a safe place. He also is just overall, a good person, that I am 100% willing to trust. His prosthetic eye kinda bugs me though... It just looks kinda weird, but don't tell him I said that!

Cali
@M3ntal

Cali, similarly to others of my just "fellows" isn't really super notable, although she seems to know a thing or two. She seems rather calm and kind, from what I seen and how I interacted with her, despite how little that was.

Flash
@Elsida

I also met him a while back but then, we didn't talk enough or really think much of one another. In City 8, he usually is around his own fellows, rather than me, so we usually walk past one another, but not always interact much. We had a few fun moments, and I do appreciate him.

Kawashima "Squirt" Kichirou
@The Dinkster

Met him back in City 8, while providing fish for a Restaurant. First, simple acquaintance, now, a friend, and a trustworthy fellow that I know I can trust. A kind man, and a good businessman, he and I both know we can rely on one another.

Cicero
A Vortigaunt friend of mine, and a fellow Cook. He taught me a few things, and helps out around with zombies, wounds and such. Because of that, we got fond of one another. He is cool. Hopefully for always.

Luca / Cash
@Lucaa
I will never forgive you... I cannot, and will not. I wish I could KILL YOU. What you did... Is unexcusable, unforgivable. Others may, but I won't.

Uwe Schulz
@Lekoboi
I don't recall when I met Uwe... However, he seems like a nice enough person. He's relatively kind, understanding, and isn't an obvious spy, or such. He's fine! Like I said though, I don't know him enough to really paint a larger picture of him, and I am bit wary, due to his rather high loyalist status... But I think he's fine overall.

Don Lorenzo
@ItsLiam
I met this man, back in the day, before we moved out into City 8... I haven't seen, or heard from him since. I hope he is all well, he did help me, and we did talk a bit, but it's not like we're friends or anything...

Crane
@colserra

Haven't talked much with Crane myself. The few times that we have spoken, he seemed like a generally nice, and understanding person, which is why I know him better than some other people. I think he is good, but not much more than that. I hope he is fine now though.

Crabby
@Mango
This little critter is a skinny Headcrab I have met in City 8... Back then he was I THINK Sam's pet friend, maybe Nullwick's? Not sure... Regardless though, he's a resilient and friendly little fella, seeing him again in Terminal 7 definitely was a relief. It's nice to see this little guy around, he's a resilient one, for sure.

Nullwick
@Cocohop
He seems like the defacto leader and the "Brain" of the Operation wherever it goes. That's how he was in City 8, and it's how it looks now, due to him finally showing up to tell us what to do. Although... I will say that despite the fact that I do trust and respect him, way he acts definitely makes it look like he is more of a Cold-Efficiency person, rather than Human Empathy one.

Greynard
@honzajevpoho
Grey, I trust him, I like him. He's a good man, that I met back in City 8, and although I don't know EVERYTHING about him, nor do I consider him my closest friend or pal, he's a person I can trust and talk with about many things freely. He's odd at times, and seems rather reserved in some aspects, which, I kind of respect. Not much else to add.

Noah Majors
@MrMindBlow
A high level of a bootlicker. Like, one of the biggest bootlicking loyalists I have EVER seen in my life, and that may not say a lot, but his behaviour... And words... I don't know, I DO NOT believe that he's saying most of it genuinenly. Eitherway... I somewhat respect him... As he's the boss of the place I own, so I can't fully hate him. That being said, he's getting on my nerves with some of his bullshit, including hatred for all low Bands.

Watima Nakata
@ItsLiam
An owner of the shop near the plaza. He seems like a standup and okay person, as I've talked with him plenty, I say we can trust him. That being said though... I don't know him personally TOO WELL, so... I don't know.

Vasili

@Stanford

Friendly Vort, one of our closest allies and pals, from the City. I trust and rely on him, or help him out often, as he does us. Now, his constant playing with electronics, or... Eating things of odd origin, are things I am not fond of, but it doesn't stop me from disliking him.
