im really bored and tired of willard atm. its been feeling grindy again lately with no substance or reward to it, an event here and there and just general annoyance. i already took a small break from willard up until this point, but im probably not gonna be on the main server at all anymore until i feel like im prepared to come back

the only thing im practically interested in on willard is short stories. it went from half life related stories to just random events that delve deep into other genres like fallout or silent hill, which seeing those genres utilized by Helix is something interesting and i’ll definitely try to spend more time on that aspect of willard. i just don’t like the main server anymore. it’s boring and it’s a huge waste of my time with zero payoff. i’ll maybe be active on the forums? other than some random jokes here and there it’s not gonna be like how i used to with lore posts and junk. if V3 rolls around then i’ll try and focus on the Underground Railroad since it’s an official organization, but we’ll see.

thank you guys for the fun i’ve had with willard for the past few months. even with CT and Short Stories management I’d probably still be dissatisfied with willard either way. i just don’t have the headspace to play on it anymore. this isn’t a goodbye but rather a temporary leave.

Cya, always chill and spoke what you thought. Gonna miss ya.

Hi gamer.

I don't know you and you don't know me, but.

Breaks are always necessary from time to time. Your 'you' get accustomed to something sooner or later and you no longer get that thing to do it again. It happens to everyone and everything. I only wish you the best and sincerely, I have some advice.

Try different things! Within Willard and roleplay, I'm sure you can do a lot and experiment with things. You can have a whole plethora of characters and ideas going on. Never be afraid to try it out. You can always apply for a faction you maybe never tried before.

Vortigaunts are cool, you could make a tribe, be a hunter kind of vortigaunt that focuses on killing xenian creatures and is quite proud of it. Make trophies out of your kills like in The Predator. Set up a check-list on what you've hunted, keep a scoreboard, and try to raise the bar above and beyond. Or maybe this kind of character is not your playstyle. Maybe a healer, one that does rituals and is very keen on some vortigaunt religion (?), they're a pacifist and believe war breeds war which in turn makes violence and suffering. Maybe they're not a healer but a researcher. Could be a researcher of anything. Medicine, weapons (xenian or human), electrician, mechanic, chef, and human culture. There's so much to explore in the Vortigaunt faction, don't get me started on the rest of the factions!

CWU and CMU are also interesting. Your character could be corrupt, a misleading rat. Maybe they report their colleagues for personal gain and to advance in the company. Or maybe they are lazy and do it half-bad, half-good with no care in the world. Maybe they're a rebel, spying for a group.

Civil Protection is a cool and good place to get into too. There's so, *so* much stuff to explore there. From wanting to uphold the law, maybe you aspire to be with the Combine among the stars, maybe you have a personal vendetta with the resistance or you just want to save your own skin and hide, so you won't be targetted on beatings and senseless murders by Civil Protection. Will your character hold true to themselves, or will they turn into a monster, or better yet, ascend into transhumanism?

But that's for Willard. For other types of things, you could try other games and genres. Anyway, just felt like sharing it with you and others. Wish you the best, gamer.
