The 3 hours Arrest

Hello everyone.

Today, I want to complain about @Vinyl Civil Protection Unit and his decision he made today.

I got arrested for having a stun-baton. At first glance you will say "That's a legit Arrest", but there is more to it. I'm a Drill Sergeant of the ISOCF-Militia so @Immerseus Party
I don't complain about the situation itself, as it can have IC consequence as the arrest was illegitimate, but I complain about the fact. I had to sit myself 3 Hours in the fucking Prison cell, where I got like 2 hours on recording showing me just going on youtube and listening to stuff while waiting for the Unit, who flagged off and Left the server?

With me there, stuck, waiting for my relief to RP again or do anything in RP. As I missed 2 workshift and got 5 SCs deducted and a record added.

Personally that whole situation is bullshit
 
from what I can tell, the CP just put him in the cell and got off the server without even logging it.
 
The arrest is an IC issue but leaving a player stuck in a cell and then leaving is something I'd expect from the CP faction of a server ran by retard amateurs tbh

That's my problem. The Arrest is IC and it was illegitimate, but If the people could read. I am complaining about the 3 hours wait
 
The CP was fully within the rules to arrest you. But leaving you there for 3 hours with not even a note on your datafile is retarded

IC Issue bro.

You had a 94 article, no-where on your datafile it said you were authorized to carry it. Be glad I didn't just amputate you instead.

You weren't just left in your cell either, you was pulled out for interrogation for a long time and questioning. What else are we meant to do, the commander wasn't online... you could've just swapped character a bit. I'm sorry you were left in the cell for that long but it was all withing reasoning from an IC standpoint.

False, I logged it in the CP channel. Even had one of the IAT's interrogate him.

I got tagged. Nice. For starters let me say this, I am in no way as directly invested into the ISOCF as I am delegating the tasks to the given commander and the ISOCF serves directly under the CCA with regulations of an assigned Overseer along with it being solely under the command of the VA and CA to avoid misunderstandings like this.

It seems that people tend to forget that they follow the same regulative restrictions that the Arteria Arm had. The Executive order was reviewed by Creative Team member DeNuke and the Overseers when published and has not yet received any indication of amendments.

Overall it is clear that OOCly there are misunderstandings present which I aim to clear up soon following an internal IC order (which again will of course be reviewed by the Overseers) to further make the grounds and rights/regulations clear. I will state this simply again; I could not care less about the IC stuff going on, I like the drama ICly but when it reaches OOC like now, my goal is to provide the fundamental reasoning both for and against.


So the ISOCF is the official National Guard and follows the same authority and regulations that the Arteria Arm in regards to their position as of National Guard. As stated in the executive order in sections II., III, and VI. (Press here for the Exeutive order Link)

For lazy people;

Section I.
The Iso-Centralist Force is exempt from limitations in this executive order

Section II.
The Iso-Centralist Force will be granted the identical authority that The Genevan Arteria Arm also known as “The 103rd Antlion Battalion” had.

Section VI.
Establishment of a reformative program in the Iso-Centralist Force.

There were some misunderstandings in regards to their allowance of weaponry such as the stun baton. I am personally not aware nor remembering to bring forth the allowance of stun batons, if anything relates to any sort of weaponry I usually bring it up with the Overseers and take their advice into consideration to avoid mishaps like this. I do believe perhaps @Jinx might be able to add more in regards to this. Then again one could argue that it still follows the same guidelines as the Arteria Arm which makes me solely believe that the stun baton was to be used solely against enlistees for correction purposes.

As for the cell RP itself, that is really sad to hear but I do not hold any grounds to argue for or against this as I am not affiliated at all with CPs or otherwise their way of life. Lmao.

When he was released, you weren't even on the server. He was absolutely left in the cell.

Yeah, my apologies. I was doing stuff IRL for 1-2 hours after that.

I documented it in the CP discord, so the CP's would know.
 
So let me put this here because i was victim of the same thing though under different circumstances. I was left in a cell for 3 days oocly, though maybe 3 interrogation situations. This was not exactly fun, nor great rp. As the server and or Civil protection faction is just not prepared as a whole for cell rp. The nexus is fucking boring and useless for actual rp, prisoner or otherwise, and the CP's actions reflect this, because 9 times out of 10 you're gonna end up being killed by a unit because "Muh red charges" Instead of sitting in a cell or being sent off to a prison or something. Like you would be in actual half life 2. Most shit would just see you locked away in a cell or pod rather then just outright killed. But I digress, maybe its time to actually adapt to situations like these and make prison rp a bit more engaging.

The issue is: You detained someone for 3 hours without noting it on their datafile or getting another unit to investigate when you left the server. From what I can tell, you didn't go to any other members of the ISOCF to confirm whether he was supposed to carry it.
You just cannot leave people alone without anything to do without at least telling them that they're not gonna be released for a while and without making any sort of ingame note of it. You put it in the CP discord, but most people don't check the CP discord to find out why a random guy was left alone in a cell for 3 hours.

I noted it in the CP Discord channel.
JURY-3 was investigating it.
Why would I confirm it with ISOC members that are below his rank. It's the COMMANDERS fault it happened, I'm not relying on the words of some private.
I did tell him to sit tight for a while.
Yeah whatever fine I forgot to note it on his datafile.
 
The arrest itself is an IC issue and isn't really problematic from an OOC faction viewpoint. What is, however, problematic is the fact that you were left there in as long as you were. This is unacceptable, and the responsibility falls entirely on the unit(s) that threw you in there UNLESS they informed a rank leader/superior that would continue to interact with you.

why don't we have a catalog on discord channel for when we take in a guy to a cell for an extended period of time?
