The Front's constant fuckery

Hi, prefacing this with the fact that our current main RP hub was destroyed over a random OOC pissy-fit for no reason.

We're getting kinda sick of relocating our entire base over OOC reasons, as this is the second time it's happened at this point in the last two months. The first was due to terrible admin management revealing our entrance, and the second as an exit-plan from a once-liberator quitting the server which got our current location we've spent weeks fostering as a RP hub for the entire resistance scene to passive roleplay in and chill. We're now forced into a place with terrible optmisation that we can't even see inside which is pitch black.

The fuck is going on? I'd understand fucking us over if we were constant shotcoppers, but whoever approved this with zero oversight needs to have a few words, because seriously - you're just making people not want to play. We're lucky enough to have not lost anybody with the raid, but still - this is getting fucking stupid at this point. I'm sick and tired of constantly moving RP hubs with zero notice over shitty ooc-fuelled nightmares.

Stop fucking us over, for fuck's sake. What'd we do to you? Sit in our base too much and not allow the entire union-side of the server to shoot us dead? We're set on providing passive roleplay and partaking in events, not gunning down patrols with zero roleplay for the sake of acquiring gear, like they used to. What's the fucking point? It's just ridiculous at this point.

Hi, I'm going to reply to this one for once, and this will probably be my last forum entry.

What happened, was completely in character given the events of what unfolded with my rogue conscript, Kyle Branch, Sergeant. He started off with the Liberators as they were the ones to break his chains and accidentally or purposefully, allowed him a chance at a new life, as he had gone rogue for the reason of Conscript ineptitude after a Master Sergeant tried to force him to blow a charge of a tunnel that would have killed his own conscripts. It was a compounding issue that caused his rogue status, he was highly emotional and didn't feel safe in the Conscripts anymore, so he left.

This then moves on into the issue of after The Liberators were killed, as he sat near the bodies of his once friends that he trusted and the only home he had, other members of The Front and rebel groups were looting the corpses and cabinets and picking through the remains, making jokes about how they didn't care about the death of his comrades, and even outright ignoring him as he sat alone in tears. This then, compounded into him being told by another Ex-Liberator and character, that his best chances were to join The Front with the two, a place which he had previously been during the altercation between Lynx and Sniper, where he tried to advocate for a non-violent outcome.

However, during his time here, he was alienated, ostricized, and even gaslit by Florian with his own emotional turmoil being told specifically that he was, "Delusional." as he was emotionally invalidated, already planning to leave, Florian kicked him out, and going back to nothing, he made the ultimate decision. There were tears in his eyes as he sat and howled to himself, argued with himself, which can be confirmed by Hiros, quite literally writing some of the thoughts in his head. He was a damaged soul pushed to the edge, and that is how I wrote him as such.

I had zero OOC intention of ratting out The Front, nor did I do it for any gain, or because the Liberators were gone, I did what made sense most for my character and the plights he was forced to go through.

So, no, Badger did *NOT* rat out The Front, because it was not an OOC issue, Badger is a MERCENARY, who works with The Front. I write characters. He had no intention to, and only would have been aligned with the fabrics of his character. Kyle is a completely different character, with different character traits.

This now compounds into the other issue, where somebody close and dear to me was being dragged into the folds of this out of character, character-bleed drama, to the point of they told me they felt like they would be forced to try and pick a side, and that it was emotionally draining and hurtful to see other people talk about me in such a manner in an out of character context. This is not fair to them, and this is ultimately my final decision of why I decided to leave, because I will not allow Willard to strain my own personal relationship with somebody I care about very deeply. I have read through some of the things said and sent, I have seen friends completely blinded by nothing more than an echo-chamber of hatred and drama, and I want nothing to do with it anymore.

I will not allow Willard, to strain the personal relationships of somebody I care about deeply, over things like *this*.

I have no ill-will against any of you, and I have done nothing but attempt to be cordial and polite to everybody OOC, Liberator, Front Member, or otherwise, as we're all people playing a video game, but with how you have all behaved, absolutely disgusts me, and has done nothing but ensure that I will not be returning to V3 of my own volition, given the disgusting, immature display of certain people and groups.

Some people only cared about winning, just like some, if not a lot of characters in the Liberators. This has done nothing more than open my eyes to see that The Front, even others uninvolved? Are no different.

I wish you all the best of luck in life, and I hope some of you find maturity in yourselves. It was a pleasure roleplaying with you all.

There was no OOC fuel in what happened today. Pancake is one of the few Liberators players who actually cared about roleplay, and opted to actually be different on his various characters. He wasn’t one of the people who were banned for a reason, so stop this pathetic uninformed ad hominem argument. You’re generalizing the Liberators which I can’t blame, but there was no intent for him to leave the server until you all started stirring shit because he was in the Liberators.

I speak as someone who has tried to preserve the Front, and had to slay someone who was unfairly giving out information about the group out of spite and pettiness; he knew he was going to die. Now you are upset because one of the Liberators actually roleplays and has a character with depth and emotion?

I put a full stop halt to infestation sweeps by OTA because I was interested in letting the rebels engage more passively with one another, without the risk of soldiers obliterating them because of boredom or some such. I don’t want to hear any argument of Combine encroaching on your metabase roleplay now.

Fact is: You invited this person into your base, then stabbed him in the back and treated him like a piece of meat who should just go wander the wastes alone and probably get killed because he went rogue.

Your shit-flinging and defamation after the fact really shows that you’re immature, and you focus more on winning than writing a character. Sorry you interacted with a character with depth; people aren’t programmed, and they will change if you treat them like shit.

As a person who would have suffered extremely from The Front being outright raided and as a person who participated in the raid (though never actually entered the base, but I shall leave IC there), and as the person who originally brought the aforementioned character in to The Front's base, acting certain ways to certain characters has them do certain things.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Does that mean the situation should or should-not be voided? Not my call.

But if you do things, expect things.

Nevermind how The Front reacted to this on an OOC level. Disgusting on all of you.

I think the whole madness and general annoyance of the situation at large made me miss a few details, of which I'm sorry. I was acting on assumption, as I was practically joining into a shitfest that I had very little idea on. From the looks of it, and due to my own assumption - I saw it as a purely OOC measure, and haven learnt about more through this thread and others, I'll admit I had it wrong.

Apologies. I didn't mean to start shit-flinging at people and it was more a vent of frustation after having it rough the last few months, or whatever. I just assumed the worst, and for that I'm sorry. I'm unaware of the greater details and was just looking at things entirely objectively through an OOC lens assuming that everything was a scheme to fuck over the dudes that were left standing after it all, so - yeah.

It's been great having you around @Woundedwaffle and I apologise for instantly heaping assumptions on you based on very little fact. I hope you'll continue elsewhere as your quality of interaction was superb and it was great getting to meet and roleplay with you.

I'm unaware at some of the actions you guys speak of with regards to how the group's interacted with people in the past. If you guys could message me so I could look into it that'd be great. Thanks.

The level of toxicity that followed this event is honestly disgusting coming from some members of The Front and even people who had nothing to do with the situation at all. To have such an outburst towards a person and to even resort to witch hunting over something that happend in a video game is just pathetic and a foolish display. People like to hate just to hate, sometimes they get too attached to characters that are just in a videogame. But what the people were saying and did towards Pancake today over a fictional thing is definitly not okay. As a result he had to leave the servers so that he wouldn't have to be involved in this pointless drama anymore. This message doesn't go to the entierity of The Front but to those who acted out on this in the most childish and disgusting way and you all need to grow up. Proof of his knowledge
Logs checking if the character was there more than once
How old the character is

After this i decided to give them a green light.

The toxicity on rebel discord will be handled, you lot act like absolute idiots and harras fella over IC actions.

I don't wanna hear it. Especially considering you were in that server where all of that evidence came from. Complicit, ignorant, unknowing. You were still a part of said metagame server and indirectly profited or even outright assisted, unknowing or not.

Not to mention, I was witness to the first attempted snitching of the Front's base location from a member of the Liberators as they got ganked by Civil Protection. Say whatever half-hearted defense you may. You were in that server, assisting their goals unknowing or not. Your group attempted to screw over the rebel scene by trying to consolidate power to your little S2K group.


And to those who don't believe me? I present such.


Don't try and cop out with your sob stories, you knew what you were doing, Leko threw your character out because he didn't want to interact with you only after a week your character went and ran away from CSF because your Liberator character got killed by OTA. You claimed people were being monsters towards your character despite people knowing you were an active member of the Liberators. Your character got killed, dead to rights, you tried to get back in on a character that could've easily left the CSF if you requested to which your little group was annihilated by RAD-X leading to many people seeking refuge in other groups knowing full damn well what power and grip they had on the rebel scene had vanished.

If anything, I'm disappointed. I held you in high regard as a high quality roleplayer when Melissa 'Celt' O'Riley was still alive both from my impromptu conscription from the CCR into the Sentinels and other roleplay on City-8. You tried to fuck over the Front one final time because they wouldn't let you in and are now escaping to not listen to the backlash catch you up.

Say what you want about my post, call me inflammatory, immature or down right malicious. I'm calling hypocrisy at it's finest here, his rebel cell's leadership as well as Bravo that tried to actively disrupt if not irreparably damage what little time we had on V2 has actively accelerated the closure of V2 because of the damage done. I won't be replying further to this post and I don't care, I have spoken my piece and will not elaborate further.
