The Golden Brigade

Though many Humanist cities have established their own forms of militias to counter-terror within the streets such as the Humanist Vanguard in City-18 and Kilo detachments in City-6 they pale in comparison to the elite Greek soldiers found within the colossal sandstone bastions of Athens.

After the seven-hour war, the streets of Athens were quiet, a temporary governor was established and the men who guarded him were the many defeated Greek soldiers which fought til' the last bullet. after the order was established along with a civil protection garrison established many of the soldiers found themselves taking the positions of reserve roles. Once former Colonel now administrator Alexios Nicolau would begin the process of slowly forming his own loyal humanist paramilitary within Athens, the Golden Brigade was formed.

Many high-ranking officers within the Hellenic Army were chosen to command certain divisions of the Brigade, Overseer Gregorio Lykaios being the head commander of the brigade itself along with him leading Civil Protection units in City-38. The rank structure mimics that of the old Hellenic army as well as the common MAA forces. The brigade is one of the most commended and disciplined with them being seen as a clandestine force that conducts many of its operations in secret.

The soldiers can be identified by their cobalt blue uniforms, reminiscent of the old Junta flag. Their armor is an assortment of HKG36, FN FALS, M1911s, and around a dozen heavy weaponry along with some explosive ordnance. They utilize an array of tactics however their main code of conduct is that they're a stay-behind army, only operating outside of the city in emergency operations.

Along with their infantry, the ground forces have an assortment of AEC Matadors and some small Matilda tanks. Along with ground forces, they have a hangar of planes used to drop airborne troops, painted a dark hue of blue, used to easily deploy troops in stealth operations.

Though the political paramilitary has many assets, it still hasn't replaced any Civil Protection and other Overwatch forces, they instead work in collaboration with Combine forces in operations around Athens and the rest of Greece.
