Your Steam Name: MCGSCEFFAAWHETJH55555
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:33130062

Their Steam Name(s): Divine, Taliazure
Their SteamID('s): No idea.
Do you know their Discord or Forum name(s)?: The same as Steam Names.
Why are you reporting this player?: I was responding to Deacon's cries for help because he was being attacked by someone we had let go just a bit earlier for trying to rob my character. When we caught up, we were told to stop by the GM, who then declared it to be an S2K even thought there were 4 players involved, one of whom was disabled, and out of the two fighting Talia's character, only Crash had a gun. I was getting prepared to do S2RP so when S2K kicked in. The event specifically mentioned that Talia's character was trying to escape/run away, but when we were given the green light to move, she instead shot at us all. Crash was sprayed down and I was about to type a /me to pull Deacon away when I was sprayed. I ran away as she gave chase or camped nearby, trying to find shelter in my base. She jumped me from behind with automatic fire to the point where I had 5-10 HP, so I had to pull my gun out so that I could attempt to *not* die. I hate S2K and I've outlined as much in several posts over the years as well as the @ command. I pulled out my shotgun and got jumped with a flashbang and more gunfire as soon as I left, which would've happened anyway if I didn't have a weapon based on what had happened before. I obviously died because I have 300+ ping and a shit computer, so there was no way I was beating anyone at S2K.

What I find confusing is why S2K was declared all of a sudden, without any player input, because that directly caused all the subsequent events to not make sense. Both Talia and I were jumping and running like idiots playing a shooter as opposed to acting like our characters would, and if her character was apparently bloodthirsty enough to shoot unarmed people, I don't understand why I didn't get PKed. Nothing about it made sense. I discussed the scenario after the fact and I've been advised differently by two different staff members with regards to the rules. Divine tells me S2K can happen against unarmed people, while Robert apparently says it is purely S2RP, so I don't know what I'm supposed to believe.

I made this report because I would prefer a clear-cut answer on when we can decide on S2K/S2RP and whether one can S2K against an unarmed person according to the rules. This S2K encounter killed any desire for me to play on Main. I explicitly rejoined after 2 years because I heard S2RP was taking over from the old S2K days, only to get forced into an S2K encounter and obviously losing. I'm not so much bummed about the loss of gear or about possible PKs, but entrusting so much into an encounter that relies on ping, connection speed, good specs, etc is just absolutely terrible. If the GM at least outlined the option of whether we could pick between S2K and S2RP (and based on having read recent PK appeals, I was under the impression we would be given that choice), then it would have determined my involvement in that event.

Evidence to support your reasoning (Evidence must be clear and it could be logs, pictures or video): I didn't take any pictures but this report isn't about refuting any existing facts. Everything should be in the server logs. I'm just confused about the decisions made and the rules referred to. 1751550910817.png1751550924482.png

Names of witnesses that can provide extra feedback on this case?: boots and Vaher Nitsen were probably spectating. Silta and (whoever plays Crash) were involved in the event itself.

I'm sorry I don't Mena to be a jerk but there's only a few ways I can tell you that helping someone who a lunatic is trying to kill is actively making yourself a target...
Putting yourself in a dangerous situation is your fault and is not mine.

You might not agree with me shooting you but do me a favor when cps next shoot someone go up to that person as try to help them and you'll find yourself beaten or shot in some limb for it and If the CPs were actively trying to kill thar person... You'll find yourself a accomplice of said person... It's a no brainer.
Sometimes it's best to mind your own business and avoid catching a bullet.

We do tend to play on different servers but I do often do that on Short Stories. It is my fault for setting one side's expectations on another, but I was not expecting it to be so much more different.

I don't see how running away would've helped when running got me shot.

That's *logic*, but according to that rule, my interpretation is what's implied. I ran away and I got shot for it, and that rule is making it sound such that running towards the shooter would've been safer because it would've kicked off S2RP.
I think you're out reaching here, how would it be safer in s2rp? That makes no sense and you would be just placing yourself in a deadlier situation for I would just keep making distance and shooting you dead turn after turn.
Furthermore... It would not be a very realistic scenario in terms of fear rp...
So the latter is still... Run away unless you got some good advantage over a armed person.

Oh no, I'm not saying it makes logical sense. It just makes it sound like it would be preferable because it could cancel out an S2K shootout. I'm not gonna push for it like that's how it should be, but I wouldn't put it past someone to interpret it that way.

I keep responding about the run away part so I'll just leave that alone for this reply. I just mentioned it right before, again.

Moral of the story if someone is getting shot, don't linger around don't try to help and don't make yourself a target. Just standing aorund staring at the situation with no cover like a dummy is a good reason to be shot, specially by stray bullets.
You will be shot if you're recognized as one of the enemy, or even if you're mistaken as one, this has happened many times before specially with cps shooting a citizen by mistake before realizing they were just running the fuck away.
It happens it's a high intensity situation and people at the line of death and life will make those mistakes, so please knowing that, ask yourself the question:
"Do I really Wana stand out here in the open to watch them kill each other..? Do I really Wana step up and offer help? Or should I fuck off and go ask for help so when things settled down I can come help those who survived or I can bring someone armed to come stop the lunatic."

Just think of it like real life, would you really wana stand in the sidewalk watching as crips and bloods shot at each other in the same street?... Fuck no....

I don't know what the Crips and Bloods are because I'm not American enough, but that's fair.

Also, as an addendum:

"[2025-07-03 06:24:41] [ME] Alejandra Ester: tried to get up onto their feet and make a run for safety, turning to the alleyway behind them as they tugged the sling of their rifle attempting to scatter off"

I know Talia mentioned she wrote that as a deceiving line for players to assume she ran off, but the way it was written here, it seemed like the motivation itself was to leave. I'm putting it in here for context just to show why and how I got confused.

When we caught up, we were told to stop by the GM, who then declared it to be an S2K even thought there were 4 players involved, one of whom was disabled, and out of the two fighting Talia's character, only Crash had a gun.
I agree with this. No players were asked if we wanted to initiate a s2k. The RP combat was going fine enough. I was shot and injurying the RP unable to move when the GM initiated a S2K without player input, in the /event message it was said Talia would be FLEEING the scene- But instead she rolled a grenade as soon as S2K was active right ontop of me with no RP, while I was /actinjured, and unable to move.
What I mean by lack of player input. The only people really armed at the time were Crash, Talia, and Myself. But at that point during the RP I was too injured to fight back (Was not allowed to do a /me fires when Talia was meant to be fleeing)
Divine tells me S2K can happen against unarmed people, while Robert apparently says it is purely S2RP, so I don't know what I'm supposed to believe.
I don't know the general rules for S2K against unarmed people, or those too injured to fight but read my previous quote about Bauer, Myself, unable to fight.
Your character was stated in the event to have been in the middle of *running away*,
My biggest peeve in all this. I don't blame staff for anything, but I was under the impression Talia would RUN AWAY not chuck a grenade on me while locked in an animation then try flanking and running around to gun everyone.

I'm still a bit peeved about the outcome of all this and trying to move past it. It didn't feel as coordinated or streamlined as I'd like. The transition to S2RP > S2K was not concensual with Crash and Myself (Who again was DOWN incapable of fighting)

Ontop of it all, after the S2K, Talia started looting everyone. I'd figure she'd be trying to flee like she states and in the /event. It makes sense to shoot at chasers, but she just stuck around for a firefight and did not try to leave the area when she had direct access to the sewers behind her at the earliest opportunity. (which would have been after S2K was started) Again, Not blaming anyone, I just expected a different outcome based on what Talia roleplayed, the /event.

I was really enjoying the pacing of S2RP up until it wasn't. (I also dislike s2k, especially in a tight alleyway)

Let me clarify a few things:

I never left the courtyard. I stayed exactly where the engagement started, I didn’t flank anyone. The one who flanked was Beau, who tried circling around to re-enter his base and gear up. I heard him moving and caught him just as he was closing the door. That’s when I opened fire again on him, not because I was chasing anyone, but because I was expecting him to return from the front and shoot me, and instead he tried sneaking around. He was unarmed, but he made the move to re-enter a dangerous area.

As for looting, yes, I removed your weapons and dumped a few mags on the floor. Why? To slow you all down and demotivate immediate retaliation. It’s tactical. If my character knows there’s a chance someone might come back after her, it makes sense to waste their time and energy before they can regroup, the more time it takes you to gather yourself and load those mags up the more time I get to run away and hide. But also because I ran out of ammo and I also was about to becom unarmed, so I adquired the shotgun from the dead guy to defend myself.

Now, regarding the /me and the ambush, I’ve already explained this. I never wrote that I fled the area only that I appeared to be fleeing. What you saw was what your character was meant to see: me exiting down the alleyway. Once out of sight, I stopped and set up an ambush. I’m not required to write a /me for actions your character can’t see. That would break immersion and give you meta knowledge your character shouldn't have. It would also defeat the entire purpose of a surprise attack.

Your character couldn't notice mine so therefore I wasn't required to do so.

So, what exactly is this about?
Because from my perspective, this looks less like a rule break and more like a case of:

> “We lost, and we don’t like how it played out.”

Unless there's a specific rule I broke or some kind of substantiated accusation, I'm not really sure why this is being brought forward. If there's something to actually address, I’m open to doing so. But if this is just dissatisfaction over the outcome, then I don’t believe this warrants further escalation nor my attention anymore.

Thanks.

I still feel as if the intention was originally to flee, but when it turned into a S2K, motivations changed. At that point is was a 1v1 between Crash and Talia. I was injured and unable to do anything, Bauer TRIED to help me but got shot at while being unarmed, then camped outside his apartment while the rest of us were bleeding out. I don't like how it all played out when S2K was decided by an admin and Talia, but I don't think anything can be done about it.

Goes to show why S2K is so disliked. It takes the RP out of a RP game mode and those who either suck at deathmatch, or lack the connectin to play in one suffer.

Oh btw I was streaming the entire conflict so I have a VOD of it, not that it's necessary.

@@Silta I like your PFP
Thank you :3

So you assumed he was going to be a threat, and killed him? So you committed RDM?
But it does not state anything about unarmed becsuse even a unarmed person can be a threat... Who's to stop him from picking up the gun from the corpse of deacon..

So you assumed he was going to be a threat, and killed him? So you committed RDM?
Isn't one of the PK rules that you can't kill people based off of unsubstantiated assumptions? Just cause he went to help up a guy who had a gun doesn't mean he also has a gun and intends to use it, moreover, why would he not draw his own first and shoot instead of leaning down to help his friend?

Rules of PK indeed not of engagement. Furthermore assumptions have been made allowed by RADX if anything look at the last post he made giving CPs more liberty of delivering Pks on just assumptions, people asked for a more hardcore server, now deal with it.

If you're that butt-hurt you need to find some reason to make this scene be voided or punished at me and Divine out of nothin burgers I can only say I pity you for being so petty.

But i'm past dealing with such low individuals, have a good day.

Okay, get the stick out of your ass, I was just commenting my perspective on how it seemed to me like you rushed to conclusions, this 'above-it-all' act is getting pathetic.

I don't have a say in whether or not this whole scenario gets voided, neither am I in favor for or against it being voided or vice versa, I merely think that the way you went about it was ineffective and not conducive to proper roleplay, the GM not helping matters by not taking into account how not everyone present would have wanted S2K, especially considering the scenario began as S2RP.

Thanks.

I'd please ask people to be cool and not get angry and insult other people. Please be kind. Uncalled for commentaries will get people warned, so I don't expect undeserved hostility. It's a game, people.

I didn't get looted. I just got S2k'd, I tried to chase thinking ICLY I could stand a chance and lost, it's fair play on my end, I can't really speak to Baur's stuff as I wasn't aware he was shot down WELL WELL After the fact, Infact I had only found out through an admin and the prop body, (Woof). Iuno, It was a scenario it happened, I don't think Crime should be allowed to be done as freely as it is as it results in situations like this, but I don't really have an opinion on the matter. I fought I lost, GG wP Next time maybe I'll have a molotove.

I re-entered my base because you were shooting me! I was just gonna hide it out and wait for it to blow over but you nearly killing me changed things. I thought I established that earlier.

If we're talking about disarming, you went beyond what you needed to do to accomplish that. You took out literally everything in my big bag and stole the bag just to get space to take my shotgun and some other things while keeping your own.

"[2025-07-03 06:24:41] [ME] Alejandra Ester: tried to get up onto their feet and make a run for safety, turning to the alleyway behind them as they tugged the sling of their rifle attempting to scatter off"

You mentioned before how you were trying not to spoil your actions by pretending to run, but the action you wrote, which I pasted above, was written as if running WAS her motivation. Saying 'attempting' isn't 'looking like she was trying to escape', it is ACTUALLY trying to escape. It could be poor wording, but if you were trying to deceive in IC terms, it made it look like a change. Could've just said something like 'turning the corner to move out of sight' or something more vague like that.

fter thoroughly addressing all points raised, I’d like to leave this as my final word on the matter ( once again), consolidating everything discussed into a clear conclusion:

  • The encounter in question involved a combat scenario where I remained positioned in the courtyard, never flanking or pursuing anyone.
  • Beau was the one who attempted to flank by sneaking into a base to gear up. He was unarmed when I heard him and reacted accordingly, he should've ran away not back into a zone where the enemy is, if he had run towards the left he had several paths to take to safely hide away, instead he returned to the same spot, proving to still be a threat. No one guaranteed he was not a threat, no one guaranteed he didn't pick up one of the weapons from the downed players, no one guarantees he was truly unarmed and he decided to introduce himself as an enemy when he was recognized by my character and attempted to help the other two whom were in a fight with me. Just because he was unarmed does not mean he was not actively playing against my character. Rebels have medics who heal them mid shoot out versus combine, don't you think those will get shot even if they arent holding a gun? None of the rules, pk, rdm or engagement specify armed or unarmed in any fashion, that condition is totally irrelevant.
  • I anticipated further aggression, so I remained in place and staged a defensive ambush, throwing a grenade to catch pursuing players off guard not fleeing, but repositioning strategically
  • My actions—ambushing, looting weapons/magazines, were in-character tactical decisions aimed at delaying or demotivating immediate retribution as well as re-arming myself.
  • These were not arbitrary or malicious actions, but part of my character’s logical survival approach as an antagonist operating within hostile territory.
  • Any /me or /event used during the scenario reflected what your characters could reasonably perceive i.e., my character exiting an alleyway.
  • Once out of sight, I was under no obligation to emote my ambush or movements further, as doing so would violate immersion and potentially give away tactical positioning unfairly.
  • This is aligned with how S2K and RP visibility are typically handled.
  • No rules were broken:
    • No RDM occurred, each engagement was tied to character logic, threat assessment, or provocation.
    • No PKs were forced, nor were there attempts to erase anyone’s character or development.
    • I acted within the server’s rule boundaries and upheld the standards of fair conflict.
  • If someone feels the outcome was unfair, that is a gameplay or narrative disagreement, not a rule violation, take it to Rad-x, Robert and Hayden.

While I recognize that S2RP may feel more “fair” in smaller skirmishes, S2K was agreed upon and executed based on the unfolding events.
  • I respect differing preferences in mechanics, but I acted in good faith within the chosen method of conflict.
  • I did not "win to win", I created tension, played smart, and left most characters alive to further narrative potential.
  • If anyone struggles to make sense of surviving the encounter, that’s a storytelling challenge, but not one caused by bad faith or meta behavior on my part.
  • Surviving a gunfight doesn’t require character deletion. Instead, it can be a launchpad for further development: trauma, revenge arcs, shifting alliances.
  • That is part of roleplay and adapting to what the story gives you, even when it's inconvenient.

This issue, at its core, is not about broken rules or abuse of mechanics, it's about disagreement over outcome and expectations. I understand the frustration, especially when you feel disadvantaged or when RP motivations are disrupted by mechanics like S2K.

But throughout this scenario:

  • I stayed within the rules.
  • I made consistent IC decisions.
  • I avoided unnecessary PKs.
  • I encouraged RP continuation, not finality.

If no concrete accusations remain, I consider this matter resolved. I’m always willing to discuss future encounters constructively, but I will not continue defending a situation where no misconduct occurred.
I'm sorry if I may have come as brass, crude or insulting but the situation just doesn't make sense to me to further a player report.

Thanks for reading, and I genuinely hope the RP can continue I now leave it for the rest to discuss this further and for staff to conclude.

ok so using BB code to add formating and etc does not work. I'm not trying that again LOL
