Name of the Admin you were banned by: Maroon, most likely due to the fact that the other admins were busy with spamming gifs in discord.
How long is the ban for?: 43830/1 Month
The reason you were banned?: “Part of an unlawful metagaming discord, please appeal. - Maroon”
Why do you wish to be unbanned?: Well, I’ve enjoyed my time on Willard and I believe I’m able to create more roleplay opportunities for the people around me. And I enjoy it. Bringing stories alive, and acting out in a vivid world that is City 24.
There is, however, a problem. One of the reasons for why I decided to start a private discord channel for my group was to organize, and organize it properly.
Furthermore, it was meant to give it more in-depth to the roleplay itself. You see, rebelrp/dissidentrp of whatever you wish to call it, is severely lacking in much needed refinishment. It shouldn’t serve the purpose of shooting OTA and hiding the entirety of time. It should be about infiltration, subversion and agitation. Something which is not possible due to the fact that the focus is shifted towards a rebel “hit-and-run, then hide” roleplay.
It needs to be allowed to grow. Surviving is the daily ordeal of the harsh reality for the Underclass.. Who undoubtedly would come to sympathize with the ideals of resisting.
From what I have heard, I have come to understand that most factions on the servers - including the “resistance” - are admin-led. As an admin and a faction lead, you should strive towards a decentralization of power to allow players within those to grow. Personally in my opinion, I believe that the admin-lead for the Resistance should take a passive role and simply act as a support to player-based grassroots groups with active events that enhances the Indigent Zone into the “anarchistic”-landscape it has become, with daily repression and a growing sense of anger amongst the Underclass..
I can understand the necessity of wishing to centralise all discord servers within your control; one of the reasons I wanted to do it however, was to give it privacy. That reason is because; well, it is not only regular players who metagame, but admins are also human... and since they like to make intricate pk-moments events for certain people, it felt safer to do so to avoid becoming a target just to "shrink" the population a bit.
Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: (List the steam and/or character names of them or tag them)
Probably most of the people that were banned together with me; and the others who have their own private server for the exact same reason, but are afraid to speak up about it.
Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?: Not really, except for pictures from the IC-chat rooms used in our private “unlawful metagame” discord.”
