ILLEGAL TAMPERING OF OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS DETECTED
FAILSAFE ACTIVE
Well, your failsafe failed. Ironic, huh?

I was born in a small town in the center of Jylland, or Jutland or whatever. Doesn't matter anymore, all you need to know is that it's in Denmark. Explains my accent yeah, I've heard it before. I think my mom worked in some office job she despised, she'd always complain about it. But my dad was... I think he was a carpenter? I'm not even sure anymore, it was something with wood. Sometimes he'd make our own chairs and tables. He didn't like spending money on things he could make himself. Smart, I guess I got that from the old man. I think that's about the only thing though... My dad wasn't the best at, well, being a dad. As ironic as that is. Stubborn bastard he was, he'd always tell me no if I asked to get an ice cream in a Zoo or wherever we'd find ourselves... I'd miss it if my memories of it weren't so, vague. After the war, my parents decided it would be best to obey the new regime. To just, give up, and be sheep to save their own skin. I was conflicted, and I didn't really understand. Then again, I was also like... Ten or so. So we were split up between cities, my dad in City 18, and me and my mom in City 35. Not far from each other. But far enough to separate us. I heard my dad became some... Big shot politician or something, don't know. I haven't heard from him, he's either dead, or he has forgotten about me. And uh, my mom didn't make it. When I turned 16 she couldn't take it anymore, ended up going crazy against a CP patrol. They took her to the Nexus and she never came back out. I knew the City well enough, ended up finding my way out with the help of a few childhood friends. They were Orphans too, or so they told me. Maybe it was just to make me feel better... For the last few years, I've been roaming the Outlands. Mostly in search for remnants of the old world. I have hope that something from back then can help us fight the Combine. But, haven't had any luck. Life is hard out here, but I'd rather the occasional Antlion than the constant sound of sirens. And that god damned intercom voice... God I can't stand it. My luck only lasted for a few years though, got found out by some Combine. They started chasing me, but, luckily I made it out. Once I started making my way down South. I started running low on supplies, had to stock up somewhere. Only City nearby was in Geneva. So that's where fate lead me. I have no idea how I managed to secure myself a new CID. Guess the resistance here had some good contacts. Never the less I managed to get in, I've been down on my luck. But, I can't stay here forever. Might as well make an impact while I'm here.

Wasn't the most ideal way to get back at the Combine, but I feel as if we made a dent in their operations in Europe during Operation: Escalation. It went bad, real bad. I was lucky to get away with my life, some weren't so lucky. Instead of a bullet to the brain, I got sent to a Prison. Good thing a few friends of the Resistance weren't going to let that slide. I made it back to the City in one piece, but, I feel... Different. I suppose some experiences impact you more than you can imagine. It had some trouble getting back though, got chased by some OTA. I managed to evade them though. If Outrider didn't give me that M1911. I would have been toast.

Snow A great friend, might even go as far as to call the old Vortigaunt a mentor of mine. He means a lot to me, too bad he can't drink booze though. He's the kinda guy I'd get shitfaced with. Heh. WildCard She accepted me into a small group, the name being something I won't even dare try and pronounce. She's nice, I don't know too much about her though... But she's helped me out of a few pickles. And I intend to repay the favors. Elyse and Cheri The latter being far kinder than the prior. Elyse was a nice change of scenery upon my first arrival. But something about her changed, her approach to this resistance is wrong. She doesn't seek freedom, she just wants to fill the power vacuum once the Combine a defeated. Cheri on the other hand, well, she's a bit... She's strange. Very strange, but seemingly nicer and more considerate than her "twin" Elyse. Versio I never even got his real name... A damn shame, I haven't seen him since the Prison break. I'm afraid I might never see him again, but that's a thought I don't want on my mind. He's a good one, a bit strange at times. With a weird fascination for scrap. Can't blame him though. Watts A vortigaunt I met in my journey of I24, he was different than all the others. He seemed to retain a comfortable attitude, and I saw a bit of myself in him. I even offered to help free him of his shackles once the time would come. And when it does, I'll be intrigued to learn more about it. Ranger A friend of a friend, our first meeting shortly before operation Escalation. I am eager to know more about him as time goes on. I'm sure he'll prove to be a viable ally.
