Formed in the Free Yard of City Seventeen's District 47; the White Dove rose to prominence during the spring of 2014.
Supported by forces both within and without City Seventeen, the White Dove began an Uprising in the Quarantine Zone, crushing Combine control in the District amidst heavy losses and creating a wave of widespread dissidence and chaos which reverberated through the following year.
Prior to this Uprising, the White Dove gained notoriety in their district-wide broadcast with a plea voiced by it's founder, Hugh Murphy.
"Hello, citizens. Humans. My name's Hugh, some people in the yards know me as Doc.. I belong to a group by the name, the White Dove and no.. we are not terrorists or radicals. To be defined as so we'd have to be threatening Civilia- Humans. We are not- we believe in the freedom of humanity, and we're confident that those currently living have forgotten who's thumb we're beneath."
"We once lived in free, democratic societies- I need not remind you of course, this was only fifteen years ago.. though some seem to have forgotten that, You, the people, used to be able to marry free, buy farmed and fresh groceries, and wear what you want- Express yourself how you wanted to. However, we seem to have forgotten that freedom."
"Some of you actively allow the Unions and Administration to suppress your actions, your ability to marry, the food you eat, the clothes you wear. You conform to their rule. They say you have been freed, you are now equal. How can they say they have made the plains of humanity equal when majority of the population do not have access to the luxuries of the upper echelons of society?
They feed you shit in rations, and give the good food to those loyal and conformist to their radical ideals. Give those luxuries to those who backstab their kin. We, us, humanity, we are under occupation. I implore the likes of those of you who remain- who still proudly don the title of Human, to seek out the likes of the White Dove and those like us."

I implore you all to think about what you are doing by stagnating and letting the Union slowly murder us with their suppression field, I implore you to think about what grand histories of ancient antiquity accumulated over hundreds of years sits behind the title of humanity, and how frail we have become. By throwing away such grand and great progression in the short span of fifteen years- not even enough time to sum up to a new generation. I request, no, I demand that us humans stand up together for what is right! We are humans, not members of the Universal Union, humans! Resist! Don't let them destroy who you-!"
The White Dove stood down in the wake of the sheer destruction brought upon the City, both struck by the great horror and triumph they had wrought.
They remained silent for years following the events of late 2014.
Geneva, 2017 - 2022

Left in disarray, the White Dove departed from City Seventeen, those of it's members who could re-integrated back into 'normal' lives.
Just three years later, they would come to the fore again; forming it's cell in Geneva from friends old and new within City Twenty-Four.
Reformed for one final time, as Industrial 24 fell, the White Dove would go on what would later be named 'The Long March' to Geneva - finding itself the primary and at times only group within the broader Resistance movement bearing down on the Combine held city.
At the forefront of operations, the White Dove entered the city shortly after the new year and alongside their compatriots assaulted District one, housing Thomas Newcastle himself - who, after a short but bitter fight, would be executed by members of the group within the confines of his Nexus office.
With the District won in a bloody but swift battle, the White Dove would concern itself not with the looming threat of the Citadel, but primarily with the future to come. Largely lending its support to Emiyo Marcum and Ophelie Latourelle in their bid for Government positions - and mounting the third expedition to the CERN research facility. Seeking to establish themselves within the expansive ruin, and regain the research lost to humanity over twenty years of occupation.
Years thereafter, the White Dove remained a cherished organisation to those who had joined it's ranks. Committed to it's humanitarian values, and the pursuit of science.
