Name of the Admin you were banned by: Kappatalist
How long is the ban for?: Permanent
The reason you were banned?: LTARP by flagging onto another character and then reporting other rebels
Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?: A recording I can upload to youtube or show on discord.

Why do you wish to be unbanned?:

I quite literally don't understand where the LTARP is coming from, I was not initially involved in the reason for the sweep and I only forwarded the message of a possible sweep incoming given to me by cheeese's character Yamen Houston.

I then went into my home and flagged onto Frank, since I could and was not in any way responsible or associated with the sweep to my knowledge.
I was walking around for a few something seconds, tabbed out to read the forums and discord, like normal, and then tab back into game and notice that I am stuck in TBC, due to the exposure of Kaffee's vortigaunt as a free one. The situation moves forth, and Kaffee moves into a building and locks the door behind him. The CPs soon follow suite and I tell them that they went in there (the building) which the CPs then break into and kill the vortigaunt and soon after as it turned out, apparently a whole lot of others.

The situation ends there and is then later voided with the conclusion of the pk appeal, and I am told that (with my vague and very straightforward reasoning for my actions) that I had no reason to do such a thing, especially now with the current state of rebelrp. And today I was banned.

As I already told Gr4Ss, it wasn't like I saw a man with a bandana exchange 3 metal scraps for 2 cloth scraps and ask for a sweep to occur, the situation happened without my involvement, the situation where a vortigaunt was trying to zap the city's protectors to death. I tagged along and saw the vortigaunt run into the building, and the cops soon follow and I tell them where they went. Neither would have the death of the others who I didn't know were in the building until later when I heard yelling from the others either on death or from outside, have been a meta advantage to me as I was only losing trading partners and allies, which would pin all the attention from the law to the 'only remaining rebels', as well as making my loyalist marked for death. Nobody in the Dove is an enemy to me. I was acting as the character as I was and with the reasons presented, even if not fully legitimate, which I later learnt like a punch to the face. I later talked about the thing with Gr4Ss and he apologized for the way he wrote my case on the appeal. (logs below)

My piece on Kaffee's PK appeal was just vague. Its all the more detailed in chat form in the DM's with Gr4Ss.

I might be forgetting some points here but thats why we discuss.

TL;DR: I was not the reason for the sweep, so LTARP ?
I was putting myself in a disadvantage for both of my characters
I was only after the vort like the CPs, I didn't know anybody else of significance at the time was in the building.

And from a technical standpoint (the part in which I agree with Gr4Ss' statment but is currently the reality) is the second part of this even a warnable offense? Its quite literally just a denied PK auth, or an accepted PK appeal, hence why I am metaphorically laughing in despair.

Hey, Joku.

So here's the evidence for your ban.
We'll start with the logs of you flagging off from your rebel character and onto your Loyalist character.
Joku loaded the character 'Santino Damián Alejandro Arroyo' Aug 7, 2022 11:05:52 PM
Joku loaded the character 'Frank Sanders' Aug 7, 2022 11:33:25 PM

At 11:33 you came off of your rebel character and loaded up your Loyalist one, whilst fleeing from a Civil Protection sweep.
[IC] Santino Damián Alejandro Arroyo: Hide. Aug 7, 2022 11:31:23 PM
[Y] Santino Damián Alejandro Arroyo: Cops incoming. Aug 7, 2022 11:31:04 PM

Just two minutes before flagging off from your rebel character, you raised the alarm of a sweep and actively fled from it yourself. I also believe you were armed at the time and had a lot of red-tier contraband in your inventory as there's no logs of this being removed from the last time you equipped it. An AK, high quality filters, M1917, etc

I think this fairly constitutes leaving to avoid roleplay, but in addition to this you returned to the same location and the same situation on another character. This is very clearly disallowed, and to make it even worse you then stood outside of a base of rebels leading Civil Protection to their door.

Alltogether this is a pretty clear case of metagaming in my opinion, to summarise:
- You left to avoid roleplay, with contraband, whilst fleeing from civil protection, whilst raising the alarm about a sweep. Regardless of whether you were the target or not, you were fully aware of a sweep and changed character to avoid it.
- You then returned to the very same situation on a Loyalist character
- This Loyalist character then immediately snitches on hiding rebels during the sweep.

"You may only have one character involved in a particular objective and/or RP scene at the same time."
"Leaving the game just after an active situation, it is best to wait 30 minutes as people might be actively looking for your character. You may not switch characters either."

I have no reason not to carry these items as the character is already wanted. But again, he is not a known target during the sweep nor did they know he was present at all.

I was forced into TBC because I was AFK in between the fight, and since I was in it and saw the situation occur there was an opportunity of RP.

Because armed CPs are running to my location at mach 5, who may think that I am a rebel myself from the countless suspicions and already having made a devils deal in i17 (selling resources to the asian gang, the characters low point, City 24 having shoved the loyalty back inside him), as well as hearing another person who didn't get out of the way in time get aubidly murdered in the distance, he did what he thought he had to do.

Just more damage being done in banning me than not right now, and over what exactly?. I don't want to believe you look forward to it either.
It's as the title says.

Just to be clear, if you're caught in the middle of the slums with contraband on you, regardless of if you are the 'target' of the sweep or not, I definitely consider that to be a case of LTARP. There is no longer any distinction in the rules between 'retaliatory sweeps' and 'shadow sweeps'. if you're there when the CPs roll in and have stuff on you that could get you busted or killed, swapping characters is definitely abuse. There's nothing to say you might have been stopped and searched.

Also, I do have this video. Around the six minute mark, you are clearly observed straight up chasing the rebels to their base on the character while calling Civil Protection to them. I definitely feel like this is a clear cut case of abuse of character swap and subsequent use of having the advantage of knowing who was doing it to then try and get them all killed.

I will leave a chance for you to reply.

I went into my home, and if I knew this was suddenly a rulebreak, which seems just convenient for my case here, I'd have gone to the sewers. They wouldn't have found me in either place.

The CPs were coming there already, and again I only saw the vort go in there, which they were already chasing, unaware of the others in the apartment.
Only on Frank did I know the issue was due to a vortigaunt, and the situation, I repeat, was brought to me.

What? You're literally agreeing to change *the definition* of the rules because something that happened later because of it seems scummy, and assuming that I am lying.
I again, didn't know what the cause of the issue was, I heard cops were coming so I warned everyone and went to a place they wouldn't have come to. Flagged on Frank, tab out, suddenly in the middle of a rain of grenades, and s2k vote spam.

You sound like you think I want to get banned. I don't.

Once the appeal is through with and more than likely denied at this point, at least let me have a proper goodbye so I just dont disappear, and/or get the group I run the items from the Scraver situation. Please.

Please explain to me how I am changing the definition of the rules. You swapped character to avoid a sweep when you had contraband on your character. As I have explained, that is LTARP.

Because the sweep didnt start when I said they're coming, I was already wanted so it wouldnt have mattered if I had contraband or not and I flagged off in a hidden base, which they wouldnt have come to.
Countless people have done this before so why is it an issue now?
What if I don't know a sweep was happening when I flag off the rebel, do I still get called for LTARP because they could've come and found me, searched me and found the contraband on me? Or do well know so but am inside a base and never left.

Where do you rip out 'abusing character swap' part from? I switched onto Frank and tabbed out after walking around a bit and then tabbing back in the whole charade was presented to me as a powerpoint.

There are no hidden bases. If you didn't know, we would have known this from observing- but you did know. You should not be flagging off to avoid the sweep, nor does it nullify it because you're already wanted. If other people have done so, then they're equally at odds with the rules.

There are no hidden bases.
So the CPs could've just resorted to kicking down doors at a random and found them without me?

Edit: In the rules, I can't find anywhere where it says you're not allowed to specifically do what I apparently did wrong. Its only advised. And I know nobody was not looking for me specifically. I was in a good position to avoid getting driven over by the CPs. A multi-minute headstart and places to go.

Edit 2: So its my fault the situation got brought to me, and I could've died because I was in the TBC ring?

Edit 3: And why if read first edit?

Edit 4: I have nothing further to provide other than the first edit, and for the worst outcome, please allow me to have a moment.

Correct.

As for "abusing character swap", LTARP through character swap is quite literally that. I'm going to have to ask you to begin phrasing your responses more carefully- and perhaps in one post.
