So, recently I have been seeing a lot of scanners flying through sewer doors and all doors in general. It just doesn't sit right with me. Imagine your escaping a scanner and you run shut a door behind you and it flies through it. Tell me what you guys think. Feel free to post clips of evidence if you want.

yeah i dont care. stupid rebel player. hope you get PKed by a scanner. Loser

You know the whole reason Scanners fly through doors is to get into the slums in the first place, as there's no other ways in. (also forcefields forgot to add that) As for other doors it's whatever, I personally don't like flying through doors unless they're open but that one guy who got spotted in the Nexus was a 1 day old minge character so Idc

I am mostly talking about the sewer door

In my opinion scanners should abide by the same rule as when it comes to birds:

6. Don’t open doors, unless it's needed to access another area of the skybox.

Basically flying through doors to get into the sewers/apartments is abuse of their no-colided status to me. And any information gained that way should not be allowed to be used IC.

Perhaps a dispatch rule should be introduced that the only doors they are allowed to fly through are:
1. Forcefields
2. Combine doors
3. The SINGLE door separating the slum square from the rest of the slums.

If I as an elite bird roleplayer cannot phase through doors, neither should scanners.

As a scanner I only ever fly through doors of public buildings or of course the slum door because that’s the only way in. I only every fly through things such as into an apartment block or a rebel hideout when there are CPs actually inside, or if the doors are actually open just for the sake of other people who might be hiding inside or staging an attack. I still stand by flying through that nexus door tho, it’s the middle of HPR, and it was only gonna end in one way whether it was me who found him or the OTA who were gonna rip the place apart looking for him

Here’s an example: at around 3 minutes in you can see my scanner aiming at the door where I know the shooter is at (while the CPs look around frantically completely unaware) and sit there until one of them notices and opens the door for me. Though I’m no-collided, I still respect that doors in the slums that lead to shady places should not be just no-collided through for obvious reasons

If you're talking about slums then realistically scanners could just fly over the building and inside. But the map doesn't allow for that thus they have to go through the doors.

Sewers though? They need the door and such opened at least. They aren't able to fly down into the SS that easily unlike the outside.

They're given leeway on the surface but I've told scanner players repeatedly not to go through closed doors via noclip or w/e. If you see them do it please SS and sent it to me or one of the other leads.

Occasionally I see scanners flying around in buildings with CPs to watch in on the action. I think they belong outside, scanning for suspects. As for the sewer door...obviously not. If it's just to get into the slums yea. Hopefully it won't be a problem in v4. (haven't seen anything yet but it sounds more open)
