TIMING OUT.

Timing out is *arguably* the biggest issue on Willard Networks.

I have tried EVERY single combination of console commands to try and brute force my way into Willard on one of my lower-end PCs.

Garry's Mod is no longer as active as it was in the 2010s or 2000s (when i was a little baby boy).

I vividly remember playing until FOUR AM in 2020 on this dog shit computer I'm currently writing this on, and fuck it was amazing, even if back then I barely roleplayed. I loved the atmosphere of C24.

Moving on,

As every update comes out, the bloat piles up. More people will be unable to join. More people will leave.

Do I even need to state my argument? This issue was acknowledge by Neonity. Dozens of new people might try to join and just give up because they get hit with a '[XXXXX] Timed out.'

I will persistently ask Devs to try and optimise this dog-shit game that runs on a 10+ year old engine.

This issue is relevant to *all* players.

The following people have experienced issues with Timing Out, this list does not include everyone:

Some of these people *can* join after bruteforcing. Others experienced occassional issues, others can't join at all.

I can only bruteforce myself in by lowering all my settings to low and closing every other app on my PC

granted my PC is a few years old by now, but it's... garrys mod.

The map seems to be a part of the loading issue, it takes a *long* ass time to load it, even on singleplayer.
 
I time out as well
(i have a 3070 with a 5700x)
only turning off chromium fixed my issues, at the cost of performance loss.
doubt many people would care enough to find a fix to this issue if they were relatively new players
 
I don't have this issue but I do notice that loading times is way longer than it should when we launched a few weeks ago
