Backstory
Tommy Cantoni was born on March 1, 1980, in Brooklyn, New York. Like many in the Big Apple, Tommy Cantoni descended directly from an ethnically Italian immigrant family. From a very young age, Tommy Cantoni would work with local street thugs and affiliate himself with several gangs, becoming a gangster. Due to his often violent and criminal lifestyle with his affiliation to Brooklyn gangs, Tommy Cantoni would be arrested on many occasions, spending most of his life in juvenile detention. By the time Tommy Cantoni would reach eighteen, he would have several connections to prominent gangs within Brooklyn, becoming affiliated with an ethnically homogeneous Italian gang in which he would do several low petty crimes for the organization. Tommy Cantoni would not seek any higher education, rather instead continuing to live life as a low petty criminal, hoping to gain the notoriety and respect he craves from his peers, affiliates, and enemies. He would frequently indulge in liquor and become a womanizer among local bars in Brooklyn, sleeping with many women, eventually meeting the love of his life, Sandy Harvey, who he would eventually marry.
However, soon enough, his charades would end as the world would be thrown into chaos at an extraterrestrial invasion. Somehow, Tommy Cantoni would survive long enough to witness the invasion of a new extraterrestrial force, this time an empire known as the Combine. Earth would be devastated in only seven hours, with Tommy Cantoni and many other surviving humans coming under their whip after the war. As they opt to occupy Earth and their remaining urban centers as well as establish a local administration, Tommy and many others would be permanently relocated to these urban centers after seeking refuge from the Combine, with Tommy Cantoni eventually being shepherded to a city known as City-24, previously Geneva, Switzerland.
Tommy Cantoni would become a permanent resident of City Twenty-Four, picking up two of the local languages from the remaining inhabitants of Geneva before the occupation, French and Italian, Tommy Cantoni particularly becoming engrossed with the Italian language specifically, rekindling his love for his culture and ancestry. Tommy Cantoni would be able to witness the transformation and reconstruction of the City during this time within it, watching as new districts are unveiled and opened for public access, the establishment of a thriving community, a local administration, and the eventual prosperity of the beautiful red-jewel city.
Tommy Cantoni continues to live at City Twenty-Four to this day, living a life of moderation, alcohol, and swag.
