This "city" might kill me. No matter, don't plan to go alone. What's done is assuredly done. And it could just as well be my salvation. A close shave or several from the dismal end that would have awaited me had I remained. Better to die nowhere at all I reckon. Seems to rain here constantly. Myopic mopes flood this place. A funeral that never ends.

I feel more alive than I have in decades. Whatever that machine did we need one in every clinic around the world. As for my prospects? Growing. The former Director already had one foot out the door, I hope that file I gave her on all the dirt in City Fifty-Five comes in handy. She actually did quite a lot with what little she had to work with in this city, but I've been doing quite a bit more.
The ISD feels more like mine than the old Execution Team ever did. There it felt like I stepped into a role and played it to the best of my ability. Here? I feel as though I've really made something out of the rubble of this city. If the damn deal with Thirteen went through we'd really be cooking, but alas, I'll have to fish in much more stable waters for what it is I'm after.
