Steam Name: Tsunami
SteamID: STEAM_0:0:25401034
Name of the Admin you were warned by: Neonity
The reason you were warned?: Official Reasoning was: Fart RP

Why do you wish to have the warning removed?:

( I would like to proceed with this appeal in a roleplay friendly manner, I hope that is okay )

* The courtroom echo's with silence, all of Willard Staff sits patiently at their respective podiums in front of a spotlight, shining light on a smaller podium below. *
* A man walks into the spotlight, he rest his hands on the podium and makes his opening statements *

Tsunami: Your honors, I would like to appeal what I believe to be a wrongful warning on my perfectly spotless account. I have prepared a deposition and waived my right to legal representation in this manner, and wish to represent myself moving forward.

Today, at approximately 6:15 PM, I was warned for the use of a /it that involved a bodily function, hereby as recognized as a "fart" by the Willard Staff Team.

* Tsunami turns around replays a video of the incident. You see a /it that reads "You hear the sound of what could be a fart behind you, you're uncertain of who let it out" - Following, immediately after, you see [VyHub] Tsunami has been warned by Neonity. Reason: FartRP *

* The video cuts in silence. *

Tsunami: Your honors, I was shattered upon receiving this warning. I am a roleplaying enthusiast. I let this /it go, not to be funny, or to be gross. But to create a slight distraction in a somewhat boring and slow moving line at the workforce desk.

My character is an old man, who's bound to let one go on accident here and there. Though this is not a common central focus of my character, it happens to all of us. We're all guilty of letting one slide here and again. Sometimes those things just sneak up on you. We are human after all.

Now while I am coming from an angle of this being a wrongful warning, I would like to take a moment to respect Neonity's perspective on the matter.

* Tsunami presents the next picture in the slide to the staff at Willard. It's a message from Neonity reading: "That much should be obvious. FartRP is gross and has always been a warnable offence. There's a plethora of warns dating back of people being warned for it. It's immature, gross, and unserious and will always be." *

While I do respect this opinion on the matter, there is nothing inside the Willard Ruling that prevents a player from breaking wind. I understand that this tool has been abused in the past by the less mature. Players who have swept the server letting farts rip every 5 minutes or so. I can see this being abused, I assure the honorable Willard Staff that it was no where in my intentions to cause Low-Caliber, Gross, or Uninteresting RP. I was simply trying to create what I thought to be an actual human experience that we have all experienced in our actual lives. In doing so, I did not think in a million years that it would be a warnable or bannable offence.

I scrambled, scouring the rulebook for a second time searching for any key indicator that farts, or any other form of bodily function, would be illicitly banned from being used, to no avail. I have been away from Willard for sometime now, upon returning, I made absolute certain to refresh myself on all the rules involved with the game. Ruling is extremely important with RP servers as it preserves the atmospheres and creative boundaries that keep the quality of the game intact. I always make it a point to play within the rules.

I humbly request the following from the Honorable Willard Staff: Kindly reconsider this warn as a one-time mistake only. Furthermore, I request that Willard officially place the warnable or even bannable offence regarding farts in the rulebook so that no other legitimate roleplayer makes the same mistake I did. It seems that all staff is extremely familiar with the rule, while the average player is not. If it's not available to the public, unsuspecting players will have no way of knowing about this offense. This could have happened to anybody, and I feel like the server would see less of this activity if they simply highlighted it in the rule book.

If the Willard Staff would not be willing to revoke this warning, I beg that you double consider adding this into the rulebook so that no one elses falls into what I believe, is a trap of roleplay rules.

I would like to close my deposition in saying, I learned a very valuable lesson today. Uncertainty lies around every corner. I respect the fact that I am playing a game that you guys work so diligently to manage, maintain, and make a wonderful place for other players, and I am more than willing to play by your rules, even if I perceive the judgements to be unfair in this small case.

I just don't want any other players to fall into this trap.

Do you have any picture or video evidence to support your reason?:
I do not. I would like to however add one simple note: I have never, in the past 3 years of RPing on other servers, or Willard Networks, ever, ever received a warning mark for breaking the rules. I am an advocate for following the rules. I think it's very important for this type of game.

Were there any witnesses who can help in this appeal?: (List the steam and/or character names of them or tag them)
There was a few people around that questioned it. I don't want to place any names but they were all just as confused as I was.

Bailiff: All rise!

*Your honorable Judge NitroSkye enters the courtroom and takes his seat, "Be seated." he says.*

"Right. After reviewing the evidence and hearing arguments from both parties; It is the decision of the Superior Court of Willard Network that the aforementioned Warn Appeal, will be denied. For the following reasons.

*Shuffles his papers around loudly and unnecessarily*

The fact of the matter is you chose to do so in a group of people, perhaps to 'make a funny' or break the tension, but all it came across as to us was a rather Mingy and Immature attempt at roleplay. Whether or not it's "Stated in the ruleset explicitly" or not, you have to exercise common sense.

Quite awhile ago, there was a case of one player who legitimately wanted to roleplay his character having IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome) as well as being incontinent. This lead him to do actions such as "/me shits himself in the middle of the street" and so on, though he argued it was legitimate RP - For this, he received a 24 hour ban.
I know there's a difference between doing an /it that you 'smell a fart', and actually doing /me farts, but to the experienced staff team, the fact you decided to do it in the middle of a crowd, most likely in the middle of an event of some kind, tells us it was meant to be 'unserious'.

Would you do the same roleplay while you were alone in your apartment, or with one other friend somewhere privately?

All in all, I'd also like to stress that it's only a warning - And what is nice about warnings, sir, is that after a certain period of time, warnings may be marked 'inactive' and will not appear on your record; so long as you refrain from rule breaking."

-

"That is my ruling, and the ruling of the Superior Court of Willard Network. Court is now adjourned!"

*Judge NitroSkye lifts his gavel and hits it a single time, dismissing all parties.*
