The following post is a complaint thread against the current Civil Protection faction leadership, namely Tsunami. This is to display his ineffectual leadership, continual sarcasm and passive-aggressive behavior, narcissism, "I'm the boss" mentality, and dismissive nature against members of his own faction.

Hello reader, as you can see from the post title and foreword, I am levying a complaint on @Tsunami (whom I invite to retort) as Civil Protection lead. Previously Tsunami was a friendly faction member who was open to criticism and had a healthy interaction with the faction climbing from the bottom to the top. He had his own arguments with people here and there, but they ended up in a simple resolution and it was all water under the bridge; however, recently Tsunami has taken up a much more condescending behavior -- This all began to show after he was made a faction lead, and it has been witnessed by a lot of people. He has gained a superiority complex.
Tsu chose this path of dismissing anyone and everyone upon being made FL. He actively insults and belittles multiple members of his faction, and even dismisses and provokes his own faction management with passive-aggressive and insincere statements towards them. This includes two noted situations where Tsunami received messages from burnt out cop players, and responded by - as I said - just insulting them. I will post two images relating to this point of reference.

He shows zero respect for his own players, and even outside of these blatant attacks against them (which I am not innocent of myself, I totally attack @Lord Beckett when I get the chance, but at least I made it up to him) he also more subtlety throws his own management to the side as I said previously.

Even though I am waging a war against @bravo elsewhere in another appeal thread, that doesn't mean I dismiss his activity and effect on the Civil Protection faction as one of its Rank Leaders. He did not deserve this trashy, power-tripping behavior from Tsu. Personally I think Bravo summed it up perfectly. I just want to say that "I don't have to consult with you guys on every single promotion, but I often do" followed by "I can reach into any section of this and compel it to my hearts content." was a crazy 30 second turn around.

Stopping the conversation is one thing, but dropping this "It seems to me like you're just looking for an argument tonight." really seems to cement this behavior pattern. Be it non-faction members, lower ranks, management, or otherwise - he has this "I am the lead, I am god" attitude.

Against my own better judgement, I think I should mention my own case where Tsunami made a PK appeal and began springing accusations and more passive-aggressive comments after he was killed on a character that blatantly violated the idea behind Civil Protection and its members. As shown below.

1751095253419.png

I will re-iterate that Tsunami used his position as FL to make this character (and I deduct that it was done without input from other leads) and then harasses and accuses others of targeting or not following the faction guidelines because they didn't have his vision for the character he self-approved.

I feel there is more substance and fluff I could add to this, but I do not want to detract from the main ideas and focus of this thread with nitpicking. Tsunami has put himself on an ivory tower above everyone else and is driving people away from the faction. I know my own track record isn’t clean in terms of keeping a level head with faction members, but the recurring incidents is concerning. I am calling for his removal as FL by the faction management, or server council as a collective if Purple Knight & Rad-X (as interim) need a larger body to discuss and decide this.

I like Sushi and can personally attest to his quality as a roleplayer so I will personally vouch that the claim against him not 'creating anything' and such being, uhm, false...
The rudeness entailed was also uncalled for, obviously.

That's all.
Please be well. Please be safe.

Greetings Faction Management @Purple Knight @Imperator RAD-X

I would like to add something that I noticed while Interacting with
@Tsunami in the past, as a Willard Moderator. Firstly I will speak about a Warning that was about to be applied onto him, I approached Tusnami in his Discord DMs and tried explaining to him why he was about me warned. Here is how the conversation went.

Tsunami went ahead and deleted most of his messages, trying to say that "No insults occured" within the conversation, his belittling behavior towards staff members including the insults and the manipulation of the conversation he tried to pull off show that he is willing to lie in order to avoid consequences or punishment.

I was not going to share these screenshots Tsunami but it appears that you have a reoccurring issue with belittling / throwing insults against people.

I really can't believe my own eyes here. I hope you get the effect that you're looking for with the thread, perhaps you'll get your way and have me removed, I'm not going to beg to do a laborious volunteer job. My work with this position was finished a long time ago.

1. Moon? That's my boy. If you asked him to come in here at this point and explain that picture you've posted of our DM's, he would have a cluster to say in my defence.

2. Bravo? That little conversation? I wrote that as if I was being examined on the stand. Good luck framing it however you want to frame it, Bravo told me I can't make promotions in a faction in which I lead, he was mistaken, and I was very respectful. All I did was quote Mark Zuckerberg.

3. CENGIZ? Holy smokes man. Why not provide the whole thing?

1751122809244.png
This thing with Cengiz was done and over with in April. We made amends and kept working, no clue it'd later be scooped up and thrown on a platter, but have it.

You gotta take the good with the bad Jury. I've been providing to this community, putting love into for a long time now. Along those roads, dealing with all of you? You're gonna have some short comings and say some rude things. You gotta work on mistakes as you make them and redeem.

I always admit my mistakes, make amends, and redeem any shortcomings. I am not a belligerent or egotistical person as portrayed in the title.

4. Sushi - I like Sushi, I don't hate him, but I'm entitled to have and say whatever opinion I like, I was speaking in a private channel that people are forbidden to share screenshots from, that we use to determine feedback and aptitude. Opinions about players have to be examined.

Let's imagine you do get me out of here, you're gonna have someone else who's imperfect come in too. At least I own my stuff and try to amend friend ships, this? I really really cannot believe you're that big into this Divine. Good luck with your little mission.

It's weird with this guy, all the character deaths I have are him, and all the complaints I have, are him. Feels a tad targetty.

Hello there. I’m gonna speak on behalf of a picture which was referenced in here awhile ago “Moon” when I got told to “shut up”. This was cleared up ages ago and we are actually on really good terms.

@Tsunami as a FL has guided and supported my from time to time for when something wasn’t right and in fact has helped shape my actions and commitment as a CP overall.

He’s nonstop been friendly to me and this screenshot of me being used was extremely blown out of proportion which I am not satisfied by it being used unnecessarily when not needed to since I addressed that all water is under the bridge.

There was a lot of frustration going on which I even caused for him and that’s something that should be taken into account so I really want to weigh in an opinion here and attest against this reporting thread as someone who is involved.

I will be tossing my 2 cents in here.

I'd like to point out that Divine has been the biggest hater of CivPro shortly after Hoki got dismissed and Tsunami appointed as his replacement.

Few points in his statement:
1. Sure, MAYBE, Tsunami should've communicated with other leads about his character's backstory, I even helped him out with the character and told him that CivPro members need actual family members, but things are adjustable.
2. Speaking of self-approving shit, Divine's been making various rebel characters, even going as far as giving himself access to the CMB frequency on his event rebel. Event or not, still kind of a no no.
3. Passive-aggressive? Really? Rich coming from you, with that #notmyRLs in your nickname you had when me and Marco got promoted? Kind of ironic here.

Tsunami's been a good replacement ever since he took over Hoki, which, comparing the two, Tsunami's much more professional than what we had with Hoki.

Final note, I find the claims here somewhat over-escalated than they are, and the call to remove Tsunami from his faction lead position to be over-punishing.

yeah i aint reading allat. tsunamis a good guy, i have know him nearing 3 years now.

at the end of the day, if he said some shit in the past, so what? everyones been as asshat to someone before. that doesn't make them a bad person. that doesn't warrant giving him the boot.

calling for his removal just seems like over-kill for a guy who's clearly devoted to the role, an active faction lead for the largest faction on the server, and, when compared to who he replaced, is far better from the looks of it.

Oh boy, I hope I didn't have to get into this fray but I'm me and I'm kind of dumb.

I will be touching onto the Sushi point only due to me lacking the insight and knowledge on the other points that have been made alongside having worked with Sushi as faction administration within the Civil Medical Union.

Sushi has stepped away for reasons I shall not be detailing on here cause it is objectively irrelevant. But I have to concur with the statements that've been made bar the command unit "cluster" due to having no real motion on this but I agree that certain, yes certain not all members of the MCP are restrictive. I have had bad experiences with the Ministry which I will say here but the restrictiveness? 100%. I have had more enjoyment on my i2 doing literally anything other than day to day duties everyone else does, interacting with other units hosting trainings, focusing on non-standard taskings and more quiet time with units my i2 view as 'close'.

And while yes, I did get into a verbal disagreement with Tsunami over the step forwards the faction should be taking I would like to highlight that you yourself, Divine. Yes you. You called me stupid to my face over passing on criticism on which I feel would've benefitted the faction. This has now since been deleted when an argument proceeded to breakout and when moderation intervened to simmer it down. Yes, me and Tsunami disagreed there but we moved past that and got on with our interactions. We discussed in DM's other matters as well as in public on topics. You yourself however have proven time and time again to be for a lack of a better word 'Irritable'.

However, I do believe this post to be a massive overreaction due to what I can only write off as a personal feud that has now reached it's head and you now cry wolf to the public in an attempt to paint Tsunami as a bad person.

Do I think Tsunami is perfect? No, we all are flawed in our own ways and if we try to say we're flawless, you're either delusional or have an ego that rivals the average DarkRP admin.

Do I think Tsunami should be purged because of this? God no, if we were purged for being disagreeable and strong to our beliefs, I'd have not lasted a week as CMU FL.

Do I think this entire situation is inherently stupid and boils down into a giant nothing burger of a cope post because the pair of you can't get along? Duh.

This is a game. A majority if not large number of us are adults and we are bickering like children over petty grudges and feuds because points have been disagreed upon. If we can't have nice things then maybe we shouldn't have them at all. For the sake of the factions health and everyone's satisfaction here, I hope that the Council view this as little more than a matter of a disagreement having finally reached it's head. I have nothing more to say, I will not be engaging further with this post and will not entertain it no longer.

This complaint holds no basis with most of it being personal bias.
While some aspects may be true they’re at most a small talk with no serious repercussions.
The merits guy does not deserve this.

Right. I'll give my two cents on this. People are now going to start slinging that "well, Tsunami made you guys write this", given the reply above defends him, and even my reply will defend him, though only to a degree. I wanted to remain impartial but what's happening with Tsunami is unjust.

I think Tsunami is the type of person that can take a step back and look in the mirror. I'm unaware of any of the past instances bar what's shown here, and this is something that he himself has to work on. Bravo is absolutely in the right for bringing an absolutely valid concern up, instead of being shut down like this. It's not Tsunami's faction, it's the community's. I get that he said it in the heat of the moment, and I hold nothing against this though.

I'm not trying to excuse what he's done wrong here by bringing up his tenure as a community member. But I do believe he's done more good than bad. I do believe Tsunami is actively working on this faction, and doesn't deserve to get an emotionally charged complaint thread that slings out of context screenshots that PURPOSEFULLY omit stuff.

1751145377922.png

I don't deny that the way he talked to Cengiz is disrespectful. I don't deny that the way he talked to Bravo wasn't dismissive. But I do deny that Tsunami is a bad faction lead and that he should be removed on this basis.

2. Speaking of self-approving shit, Divine's been making various rebel characters, even going as far as giving himself access to the CMB frequency on his event rebel. Event or not, still kind of a no no.
Gamemasters do not need to seek out approval for everything they do, and I haven't played an event "rebel" (apart from a few druggies) in a decent while. It's not a 'no-no', timing is everything and knowing the details of an imminent response is very necessary in an event.

3. Passive-aggressive? Really? Rich coming from you, with that #notmyRLs in your nickname you had when me and Marco got promoted? Kind of ironic here.
Actually if you looked into it, I vouched for you to be re-instated to i1 when you died on Richter, and the only contest I had to your promotion (when it was brought up before) was that you play very trigger happy and at the time were still spewing anti-rebel sentiment. I did contest Marco heavily but still went ahead with his bump to i1 as well (and still treat him as an equal).

Tsunami's been a good replacement ever since he took over Hoki, which, comparing the two, Tsunami's much more professional than what we had with Hoki.
This just in: the sky is blue. I would never argue against that, you're 100% right there.

Final note, I find the claims here somewhat over-escalated than they are, and the call to remove Tsunami from his faction lead position to be over-punishing.
Removal, over-punishing... Now you might be onto something here, bringing C4 to a fireworks show and all that. I won't deny I get ahead of myself when considering outcomes, but I still feel the dismissive nature shouldn't continue. I'll rescind my call to remove him, that was too much.

Do I think this entire situation is inherently stupid and boils down into a giant nothing burger of a cope post because the pair of you can't get along? Duh.
We literally did talk it out, and it was going so well - I even withdrew a private complaint I lodged and it was water under the bridge. I was talking the shit with him a few days ago about, I don't know why he suddenly freaked out on me over in that appeal though.

But I have to concur with the statements that've been made bar the command unit "cluster" due to having no real motion on this but I agree that certain, yes certain not all members of the MCP are restrictive. I have had bad experiences with the Ministry which I will say here but the restrictiveness? 100%.

All Sushi has to do is spew out some fake nonsense, and they can roleplay without the watchful eye of the Combine. It's not that deep, nor the cluster of the so-called "Command Units and MCP." that comment on its own makes hardly any sense when there are at most 2 MCP units on at some odd time. it's not like we're going out on a limb to watch them. I think they just don't know how to get away with things as a cop

Yo all,

For a beginning venture into this thread, there was a personal desire to keep the thread open without my involvement until I had garnered more actionable knowledge on the matter at hand when it comes down to the Civy Pro leadership complaints.

So, normally I'd just sit back and have a simple conversation but this isn't an ordinary situation. At least that's what I had originally observed at first.

PRE-ANALYSIS

So bottom line at first glance - it looks like Tsunami's became particularly antagonist to his supposed subordinates in the Civil Protection faction. The case being made is the antagonizations are not isolated cases and are a consecutive pattern of repeated negative interactions. Each of them being either smug, rude, egoist or rejectingly dismissive way.

Now - I remember Cengiz' notes on the matter because I was directly involved in handling this affair and was asked to intervene and speak to Tsunami on how the warn applied by Cengiz was valid or not, to which he had to accept the outcome of what ever decision it was and later apologised for lashing out.

So I have personal experience with this. Given this has gone public, this will be a public relational situation for the Civy Pro leadership. In which case, the investigation and the requested pathway is being directed to the removal of Tsunami from Civil Protection leadership for the treatment of his peers in a supposed very negative way.

MOON / MC-CRABS
Despite the formalised analysis that begins to shed some light on the subject matter, despite the overwhelming support on the thread, Tsunami currently (including @Mc-Crabs, who is known to be moon) has given statements that situational conversations were either taken out of context or already repaired from long times ago. While that will absolve Tsu from wrongdoing in this case, it is fair to question whether anyone could write like that to other people in similar situations. It very well could, and I've addressed it with Tsunami who understands and accepted that there are measures to communicate with people differently.

SUSHI
I see this was stated in a private channel, not a public one. I'll be honest, this isn't the first time I've seen people give hard-hearted opinions on others and sometimes with unnecessary and unneeded amounts of context both big and small. I'm guilty of it as well and I think we all are.

However, the complaint is based on conduct and the relational feelings we as people get over resignations make it look demeaning to Sushi. I'm sure multiple people think the same, even if it is in a locked channel. Not nice, already said that to Tsunami in private and I don't expect to see it again.

BRAVO
Bravo is very active, and he has been around HL2RP for many years before Willard was even a thing. There's background on the guy if you want to know him a little better. I won't speak for Bravo but I will speak for the situation presented - yes, it was rejectingly dismissive of his criticisms and bravo was looking for answers. Dependent on circumstances, anyone can look at it and either agree or disagree and that's just the measurement of the conversation that played out. There were points made that did eventually find themselves onto this complaint thread due to dismissals, though I will have liked to know more or seen a follow up of this on constructive feedback threads for everyone to take part in rather than just DMs. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.

It's up to leads to nod or shake their head at an idea, but dismissing concerns outright is how people get anxious and bother wondering if anything is worth it. Tsunami, I'd recommend to alter the methodology of helping concerned people as their faction leader and give them options to present to a wider audience for clarity's sake coupled with a kindness and not an overbearing outreach to people that trust you.

CHARACTER APPEAL PART
An odd case that looms close to hearsay, but I don't doubt it given there's something regarding it staring me in the face. Characters shouldn't be given special privileges over anyone else because a faction lead controls it. Not unless it's some type of event character or it was otherwise accepted by an auth's team (this is not the same as GMs needing permission for something specific.) I'll provide myself a means to close this part quickly because the PK Managers already dealt with this scenario legislatively, so if they have concerns then they can raise them my way.

CONCLUSION
I will not remove Tsunami from faction leadership, given the investigative request has been withdrawn. I would find it also unfair if I did remove Tsunami based on this report because a lot of it is apparently misconceived information. But Tsunami, please watch what you say especially about other people. People have friends who have other friends who have other friends. We're all one big circle and it would be highly appreciative if the conduct manner of faction leadership is improved. I will revisit this if problems continue.

You cannot please everyone and you cannot belittle people like that, but you can make your standing better in the way of how you speak to people and about other people. Treatment is important, nothing more.

Thank you, all. I'm acknowledging the report.

Gamemasters do not need to seek out approval for everything they do
Hey, I think you're starting to feel how I feel now! Haha. Sometimes leadership calls for being a tough cookie.

First off, I just wanna thank everyone who took the time to share perspective here. I've read a lot of the concerns and responses, I'm glad we could discuss this in the open.

Over everything, I just want to reaffirm, I care deeply about this place. I care about Civil Protection. I'm committed to helping it grow and thrive and ensuring it remains in a place where players can enjoy an immersive experience. I know I'm not perfect, none of us are. I've always aimed to be approachable and fair, I welcome the constructive feedback.

Regarding the concerns, I want to acknowledge the few times where frustration comes through my tone of my words. I apologize to anyone who's feelings have become hurt, I want you guys to have an open door with me.

I also want you, as the players to understand that universally, any position of leadership in life, when you are dealing with a sample size like we have at Willard. You're simply not going to be able to make everyone happy. We gotta stop honing in on what's 5% wrong with people or situations and start talking about how we improve to 100%, I hold myself to this standard every day, here and home. It's a recipe for progress. There's lumps in the stew sometimes.

To address Divine Directly: I don't harbor any ill will towards ya man. Even after today. I know how it feels to be frustrated and I remain open to discussing your concerns privately if you'd like to do so. Neutral party, or not, doesn't matter. I'd like to see this feud fully solved so we can get back to maintaining this project. But you and I come to this quite often, understand, I don't want bad ju-ju with ya.

I'd really like to get us on path to getting back to what we used to be, I'll meet you half way here man.

Oh, and one thing for the community to know, a little fun fact about me:

Have ya had your coffee yet?
Full admittance, a little irritable in the morning before I've had my cup of coffee. Workin' on that.
