Hi!

I'm just going to share my grievance here regarding to what's occured with Ultima/Ulterior.

So, to give context to what happened that lead up to this unfortunate letter, while on my T6 character John Walker (trademark pending), The Milkman while playing Johnathan Duponte broke into the MoC/MoP penthouse, breaking off the biolock to the building and entering, prior to mugging my character inside, and attacking when my character didn't comply. It turned out /checkcrime wasn't active for this, and in my opinion it was wrong to break into a CCA building and attack a T6 inside while it wasn't active. Milkman retorted that it was a petty crime.

The attack was a S2K scenario as Milkman didn't /me out swinging, and as such I responded by simply running. The situation was admittedly sloppy overall, from my end as well.

Where Ulterior comes in is he joined in GM chat when I addressed this. And after some back and forth he told me to leave it where it was, or else I'd be warned as well. While also accusing me of doing a /me using a radio, which I didn't. Unless he was referring to the automatic /me that plays when a request device is used.

This is where my complaint comes in as I do not believe it right for him to simply tell me to stop talking about a legit case where someone broke server rules from my perspective, and tell me if I don't I'd be warned myself for seemingly no reason at all other than from what I can tell a difference in opinion or perception of the server rules.

As a defense to Milkman, he only wanted your hat, he only attacked you bc u did a /request without any roleplay.

I have no real issues with what happened IC. RP was sloppy, granted. But not wrong per se. Just annoyed about the /checkcrime bit not being followed, but mostly Ulterior's response.

Hi. In my eyes you were both in the wrong for various reasons

Here it states the requirements for what needs /checkcrime

From this, breaking into the MOC offices was not a rule-break as it is a petty crime

In the situation which I'm currently watching as I write this post I can clearly see you minge-running away during an s2rp encounter after using the request device without any real roleplay associated before the fact. In my eyes, even if there is an automatic /me it's still bad faith to immediately use it when faced with any sort of danger

On the other hand, Milkman started s2king you (instead of s2rp) which would be the default here for melee combat THOUGH I can sympathize with him considering he only decided to attack you once you started
A: bunnyhopping around the office
B: using the request device without any real roleplay

I admit, I didn't even know the request devices had an automatic /me until now, that's what the /me radio comment was about, but it still doesn't excuse the way you used it. (mainly due to the fact its extremely badly written and looked like a bind or an emote written with haste)

In the end, Milkman didn't even damage your character and ran away without confrontation, that is why I'd rather we left it at that, I talked to milkman in DMs after I saw the video and I don't believe taking action against him is necessary because that would mean taking action against you too.

Can you please summarise to me what the complaint in regards to Ultima is about?

The screenshots obviously show GM chat being used and that's just not the correct place for this to be taking place.

Because, to me, this doesn't appear to be anything noteworthy of him doing anything wrong. I want to avoid a bandwagon on him, since this to me seems to be on a varied level of minor grievance than anything I've seen since it looks pretty pale. I could be seeing it from a different angle that isn't the same on anyone else's level here - but to me, him telling everyone to stop was correct, it was just flooding and escalating. Even Rabithunter here is being pretty negotiable for this.

To boil it down, my main complaint is Ultima telling me to back down from the case, or else placing a warning on me for what to me seems like just a difference in opinion or interpretation of the server rules.

Alright, thank you.

I'll look over it again.

OKAY. I've gone through this because there is evidence from the allocated situation described.

Unfortunately in the case of this complaint, spoken with three members of the Server Council, one member of staff and myself - Ultima is correct. The video shown has given evidence that Milkman moved forward to possibly break in, but did not engage until your character's activity regarding the request device set in motion a chain events which disallowed S2RP to take place, and we can clearly see that Milkman's character was mid-typing when you were running away. This is considered Fail-RP.

So, with that in mind - Ultima is correct in saying that you could be getting warned if this was investigated. And that is what's happening to the unfortunate decree of what I'm typing to explain, here.

This wasn't a base raid and mugging is ruled under petty crime, as Milkman has not actively gone through to raid or take anything pertaining to the office region. Since S2RP was disallowed to take place, S2K was initiated after your escape attempt. You could have called a GM but you did not do that, as seen in the video evidence.

I don't like turning these things on their heads but there's more evidence to suggest wrongdoing from the OG Party than the accused. Case will be closed under review of:

- M!NT
- Bassilisk
- Rabithunter
- Myself
- Asimo

Please be careful about the creation of complaints, because formal investigations into these will always follow through after.
