I'm even more scared of what this thing can do. I remember that this creature was supposed to knock Gordon to the ground and do weird things to him.
 
That was Mr. Friendly, this is a different NPC. Both are fleshy and weird though, so its easy to confuse them.
 
Fun Fact: The Mr Friendly was an NPC from the half life beta, but it was cut, it had an attack where it would proceed to rape Gordon Freeman, perhaps that might be why it was cut, but we'll never know
