V3 Faction Logos - Contest

V3 FACTION LOGOS
OPEN CONTEST

Hello! I'm hosting an open commission for new department logos for v3.
For v3, we're looking for wholly original faction logos that can help distinguish factions from their v2, c24-based identities.

Specifically, we're looking for bundled submissions for the CWU, CMRU, as well as new faction, the UCB.

The prize is $25 USD for bundled submissions (includes all three), awarded to a single winner, and $10 USD for individual logos/submissions that we happen to like.

Additional bonuses if the submissions have a orange-dark gray Discord variation, or include additional logos for a Security Council and or a Ministry of Enlightenment faction.​

There is no official theme other than being Half-Life 2 appropriate, being simple and easily recognizable, and communicating their faction's purpose, as well as general authority. They do not necessarily have to be C13-themed.

Do note that we may ultimately decide not to use any submitted logo or may use some of the winning bundle. In this instance, the winner will still be awarded the prize money in full.

There is no deadline, so we'll let you know when we find something we like. Winners will be contacted beforehand.

The Union Civil Bureau, otherwise known as UCB for short, is an organization focusing on the economics, registry, and cooperation within the District. They are part Bank, part Registry office, and part intermediator for all the District. Naturally, their primary duty is banking/economics. Think Ministry of Commerce/Combine Logistics Committee.

Attempting a departure from the more overly complicated designs of the past, focusing more on simplicity, even if somewhat basic and boring. I would imagine that the Combine would view it through a more utilitarian lens rather than encouraging creativity. I think the v2 designs were all too individual and disconnected from each other, so uniting them into a universal, generic design makes the most sense to me. I don't think any of these will wow anyone, and they are not meant to. They're just meant to be applicable anywhere without being tied to a specific city. Here are some of the design points I kept in mind.

* A straightforward design whose function is clear even to a new player
* Uniform look for all (no union/department/ministry being special)
* Avoid writing if possible

I am not much of a graphic designer, just wanted to get these out of my head. Looking to see what everyone else will cook up.

I've done some decent graphic design work, but I'm not the greatest with logos, I've tried to make my logos wrap around the CMB claw. I'm really nervous when designing things, so I believe what I made can be ranged from trash to good enough. I used remove.bg to remove my backgrounds because I'm lazy. Ask for any modifications and I'll give them. Big thanks to my metagame discord for giving me their opinions which I promptly disregarded after crying for six hours straight. I've hopefully made all the logos easily modifiable.

Anything "Discord Friendly" can be made as a server icon.

I was too lazy to add the circular background to this, if you want it, DM me. I also took some 'creative liberties' from the last logo it had on the wiki, I just added text since I thought it looked fine enough. Credit to the metagame server for the great feedback on this one.
