Being stranded on an island, it's a fear that many have... alone... afraid, and unknowing of what's to come...

On the island there are four major clans making up the majority of the population. The island has almost resorted back to a tribal form of survival, all the clans operating as different roles, each one impervious to survival.
The Shokunin 職人 (Builders).
The builders were responsible for constructing new homes and well buildings, they were also responsible for gathering supplies, scavenging pre-war buildings, and repurposing old infrastructure. All terraforming and landscaping were also left up to them. Builders were also in charge of finding new ways to source electricity such as using solar power which has recently been put into effect as they continue to utilize pre-war equipment scavenged across various sections of the island. Builders are around 40 percent of the island population.
The Nōmin 農民 (Farmers).
Farmers are an essential part of the island's survival and they make up around 30 percent of people on the island. These farmers ensure they have enough different species of crops to survive through multiple seasons. The farmers also rely on chickens to hatch new offspring and lay eggs for survival, similar to how pigeons, crows, and other avians have been able to reproduce it appears chickens have been able to do the same.
The Senshi 戦士 (Warriors).
Warriors make up around 15 percent of people on the island, they are in charge of gathering wild food for the island be it foraging, hunting, or fishing. A majority of warriors are also prepared to defend the island at all costs if invaded by the Combine (not to say all other inhabitants aren't ready to die in order to protect their freedom). Also, warriors travel via boat to other islands in order to scavenge them, there have been cases where warriors have gone missing while going on an expedition. There is a growing concern about local wildlife numbers as Xenian creatures begin to slowly take over the main predatory chain of the island. It's also an issue that animals (and humans likewise) cannot reproduce at the moment.
The Ishi 医師 (Doctors)
Making up around 10 percent of the population. Doctors are vital to ensuring that the well-being of inhabitants is being upheld, they stockpile any medical supplies scavenged mainly using natural remedies and only resorting to high-grade medical equipment if needed. A growing fear has risen on the island, spores have recently begun sprouting up on the southern side of the island slowly infecting the area. The doctors have been monitoring the area closely tracking its development and attempting to find solutions to deal with it.
There is around 5 percent of the population who belong to no clan and operate as everymen who assist where they can, receiving different tasks on a day-to-day basis.
.

The future of the island is in the hands of whatever gods are left, may fate run it's course...

Surviving through two wars was no easy task, to say the least ~ first surviving World War 2 under Allied Forces invasion, the inhabitants were able to get by fairly easily. The island is sparsely populated even less than how it was almost two decades ago. News of the Seven-Hour War spread to the Island fairly quickly after its northern neighbor Ogasawara Island a much larger and more densely populated island alerted them of the invasion. The entire island was sent into a lockdown as people bunkered down for an impending Alien invasion. They took cover within the lush and mountainous terrain hiding out for a while, scraping by as they avoided detection.
It was evident after radio communication ceased from the mainland and nearby islands that the Alien forces had defeated Earth's current inhabitants, the last message received from their homeland was a surrender alert. The rest of the nation had been enslaved these were some of the very few remaining warriors left to represent humanity.
The only possible way to the island was via a ferry from their Northern neighbor, the island was used to remaining self-sufficient. As the residents began venturing out from their hidden encampments, they quickly began stockpiling all required supplies, going to relocate their housing and other essential services into the mountains of Hahajima Retto to remain undetected by the combine's watchful eye. For the most part, the combine didn't bother the island, the only time issues would arise was whenever a combine gunship or helicopter would fly over or near the island and the inhabitants would have to lay low for a moment or two.
