Vas’Yok was created on the Vortigaunt homeworld, more specifically the Ozz’Merian realm, and spawned into a tribe of Shepherds. Vas’Yok learned how to properly Shepherd antlions, raising them both for their meat and the exquisite extract, which was a great delicacy to vortikind. However, his peaceful living as a shepherd was cut short when the Universal Union invaded the homeworld, forcing the entirety of his race to flee to Xen. Tragically, fleeing from one enslaver only led to the next. The vortigaunts and Vas were enslaved by the Nihilanth. Though he worked in the factories that produced grunts, he was forced into Black Mesa. Managing to survive the initial wave of chaos, Vas quickly fled the Black Mesa facility, luckily making it out due to the chaos unfolding.
Vas'Yok fled to the deserts of Vegas, avoiding interaction with humans as much as possible. This was until the seven-hour war, where humans fleeing into the desert attracted the Union’s attention to Vas. He fought bravely but was critically wounded and forced to flee the forests he was comfortable with. After fleeing for several hours, he met with a group of humans who were planning to use a train to escape the invasion. Vas joined them in their journey, the train intended to make a journey to San Francisco, to steal a cruise and hide in the open ocean.
The Capture
Having escaped to San Francisco, plans changed and the group elected to stay and hide within the region, their plan to avoid the combines detection. They lasted a few years as bandits, however, the malignancy's rapid approach became a concern, and during one night of heated discussion, tragedy struck. Whilst fighting off the horrors released by the malignancy, Vas heard the sound of Ion engines. All of their work hiding, and building a resistance was about to crumble.
Vas was soon knocked unconscious by a Xenian beast while he was distracted. He awoke injured, bleeding heavily. Weakly looking around, he was surrounded by a stabilization team. After being knocked unconscious once more, Vas eventually awoke once more, his entire body aching. He found himself sitting in a strange location, inside of a vaguely human building but with metal, he had never seen. Attempting to stand up, he found himself chained. Vas had been tragically captured.
City Life
His story continues here, obedient, however, quite dumb and wanting to move up in the world. His interest peaked in shops and the various jobs around the cities he could involve himself in. He wishes to assist humans medically, as was his purpose in the outlands.

The Stella

Initially we believe the Stella to be mentally inept. However, after further discussion we found ourselves caring for you. We feel a natural parental sensation, as if we must protect you. We have learned of your tragic past, and wish for you to come to peace with it. We sense the danger in you, we know what you will be come in the future if you do not change now. We do not wish to have to harm you.
We have guided the Stella through mental blockages she never thought herself capable of working around. We have seen, and allowed her true inner nature to be exposed. The Stella will take this gift, and she will use it well. We feel a strong bond with this human, and wish to protect her at all costs.

The Tamara, yes. She put's up with our ridiculous nature and often enjoys making comical phrases with us. Perhaps we shall learn more of this ones past as well, we wish to aid her. She seems.. enjoyable.
