Similar in concept to the Civil Protection and their ability to detect one another's names, I believe that I similar feature should be given to Vortigaunts as more development is made on them. In the universe, the concept already makes sense, as Vortigaunts already know the names of people they come into contact with as long as they have seen them before.

While there are a few ways one could go about this, the most alluring option, I believe, is...
- The Bootleg OTA Option: This option is referred to as "bootleg," because, unlike the OTA HUDs with large amounts of features, Vortigaunts would only get silhouettes, names, and HP.

+ Vortigaunts, using this option, would be able to sense where their kin was, who the kin in question was, and how wounded they would be from afar. This is commonplace for Vortigaunts, as even across a very long distance, they can sense the fading life-force of their kinsmen from afar.

I believe that this would be an especially valuable and valued change in Vortigaunt mechanics, as it adds an extra Hivemind-Esque flavor to the way that they operate and are able to interact!

… What do you think OTA gets? They get those exact same things you mentioned.

Look at the HUD in this video for reference:

I was told they get far more than that (like being able to tell where each other are aiming), but I don’t think it would make much sense for them to have as much as the OTA do.

Unless that’s all they get, and I was lied to :yudodis:

Actually forgot we had this, yeah.

Pretty sure everyone has it turned off because it makes all OTA bright red on the overlay and the crosshairs all over your screen become incredibly distracting (they're visually identical to the waypoints you can place with /WaypointAdd as a CP except they move around like crazy)

Ah, I see, that makes sense then

Is this even possible? Isn't WN literally keeping the VA and CA whatever you do? Like, they can't get PKed, they never did, lol, at least outside of an event, but if the assassination was planned then idfk.

they can't get PKed
Yes they can? This was a player randomly deciding to sneak up to a second floor of a store and open fire on the VA. He missed, but that's beside the point. If CCA leads (CA, VA) die, they're the only faction leads that don't get to create a new character and another player must be elected as a replacement.

To add that up, they also tell you when you apply to CCA.
If not wrong either there or somewhere in the rules, it states that any CCA death is PK.
