What are pickups?

I've been seeing boxes labeled (location) pickups. I need some answers about it

You used a Sewer NPC and bought something to be delivered to a specific pick up Box.

You follow the marker to find.the box where you then pick up what you ordered

 

[Neonity]

Once you purchase something from one of the smuggler NPCs in the sewers, it will be delivered to a random pickup cache. Those caches are found all over the map, in various places. Some more hidden than others.

You'll get an alert when your order is ready, and a marker will appear showing you the direction of the pickup cache. From there, you can get your ordered items. Only you will be able to see your items, nobody can steal them.
