Basically, what's your thought on the attempts to make retail rebels ICly? The closest thing I can think of in-game to this would be Cole's Homeless Shelter since they operate in a similar manner to the Underground Railroad that we see in HL2's canal chapters.

Basically - humanitarian and altruistic rebels, building morale and slowly stockpiling weapons while waiting for an opportunity to strike at the Combine, distribute supplies and weaponry to the populace, etc. Since I think that was what they were doing in HL2 (smuggling civies out of the city, stockpiling resources, and distributing firepower and manpower during the uprising)

The contrast to this would be what we see RebelRP fall into - isolationist survivalist outfits with more of an emphasis on dominating the slums than counter-acting the Combine.

Is this a viable form of RebelRP? If so, why? If not, what do you think could help or perfect this model?

(clarification: I've been asked by our kind Civil Protection delegates to elaborate on this post's purpose. Purely hypothetical! Haha... they are few and we are many, resist

definitely viable rp, though extremely difficult. I've had a few attempts at this myself in the past but usually it just turns up to everyone getting bored as it's quite repetitive and giving items away can put quite a strain on people as all it takes is one snitch or for one psycho to get a gun from you and kill 30 people.
Business is much easier to rp as that way you are certain that if they can afford the good, they're likely capable using it, and it gives the members of the group actual incentive.

willard does not allow rebels to RP as such. we are contacting irl authorities on anyone who plays a rebel. thank you.
