I remember back in the day there when items only existed for like weapons, locks, papers, and things like that, where you'd go to a store and they'd sell rp items
Those were good days

Personally speaking, I was never a big fan of the notion of "Just RP it" for a number of reasons.

The big one being that without any sort of grounding of consistency, RPed items lose merit. For example, two people claim they have a pocket watch. One person has had a custom script made for it and the other is just rping it. Regardless if we like it or not, the one with the script is far more likely to be recognized as actually having the actual item. RPed items are presumed to be ass-pulled, for tiny things that you know are never going to leave you then maybe, but for stuff that has more merit scripts are the only punctual means of keeping them grounded in the actuality of existence. The masses are also not going to bother giving away funds for rped scripts, those that would are few and far between.
