Alright... I've been playing HL2RP since early 2015. I'd say I have quite some experience playing the gamemode, and I definitely have a stupid amount of experience within Garrys Mod itself. Recently I've started noticing that in HL2RP, it seems that the most interesting things that happen (That I feel I'd enjoy) all happen within the Civil Protection (For the most part)

Within the six whole years and I have yet to try it out once. I guess its because when I first started, I thought that it would be too much for me to handle in the sense of it being extremely serious, or that I would not be quite cut out for it, and obviously I've matured since then.

My question...
If someone were to play as Civil Protection for the first time, what should they expect? Is it difficult? Does it require more of a presence in OOC?

This was written up pretty quickly as I'm currently in class, but I'd love to see some responses!

Honestly, it's not stressful or difficult at all. You go through a bunch of training that prepares you for when you're going to be patrolling alone and interacting with citizens. As a recruit, you're almost always paired with someone with the same experience as you or greater. The only OOC presence is really just being active and showing genuine interest in the faction and community.

RebelRP requires RP to RP, CP/Cop RP doesn't require RP to RP.
That might sound a little weird but here's what I mean, rebels have to spend a lot of time and effort coordinating with each other to get gear/resources/reputation, whatever it may be, it takes time. And with that, it takes a lot of RP to get there. CP's on the other hand, can get a report of some rebels doing something on the slums, go there and get free RP with no build up on the CP side.

I hold the belief that because CP's are inherently like this as has been shown in the past and present, CP's should be held entirely IC'ly, and have their characters treated like any other char, with the same PK rules as any citizen rebel or not.
