What do you specifically hate about making a new loyalist or rebel character? Is it the SC grind? Is it the grind for a toolkit early game?

Is it the absolute powerplay that old and known characters have with all their connections to other people?

Personally I found the grind for both sides of citizen roleplay a major turnoff; nobody knows you and you have absolutely nothing, it takes a bit of time just to get up to speed; it’s a skill issue on my end.

The most annoying thing starting a new char is that you dont get to spawn with any hats! willard hat update when

I think the rebel was fine when I used to play. But, Loyalist for me its kinda like hard the grind is harder than fucking rebel.

acting like you know nothing about all the characters in the city

I know this man is a rebel, I know he probably has a glock in his pocket rn, I must act like I know nothing however

plus then you have to listen to their story all over again, it's like an unskippable cutscene when you replay a game

The Name
(It's actually finding a way to start interacting without any connections or scripts or money, which requires both parties to be interested in just playing for a good time instead of material advancement. Talk to your local bluesuits people!)

It's the combination of having to come up with a name and something new and 'unique', which gets hard by the amount of characters you create overtime. After getting past that though, I believe it's stressing over how to begin the characters journey, even if you know that it'll happen naturally.

Hardest part is the description. Deciding what aspects of the character to describe beyond the generic stuff. This is what makes or breaks the character for me.

The second hardest part after that is of course meeting people and making a name for yourself.

Third hardest part is coming up with and sticking to distinct RP qualities that make the character stand out (heavy accents, repeatedly using certain words or phrases, maybe a persistent habit like adjusting glasses or fidgeting or staring)

For me, the hardest part about making a character is making someone I will want to keep playing when the character's novel gimmick etc wears off. If characters stop being interesting to play for me, I just stop playing them, so getting a character with not only a good foundation but a strong idea of where I want to take them is probably the most vital aspect. I don't find names that difficult (thank you fantasynamegenerators.com) but that's because I don't think names need to be special or important. The relevance names have is what the character it is tied to has done. Ron is an incredibly generic name, but I guarantee most of you will know the character I'm thinking of when I use it. It's the same with any other name, really. Just try not to make them overly-complex or hard to pronounce and you're good.

To be honest when I made my loyalist character I just did the old reliable which was joining the CWU and getting SC that way because foreman get good money and you get 3 SC so it made the grind a bit easier I got tier 3 within a week or two
