Born to a noble family in a snow-capped province, Yukikage was raised in luxury and had every opportunity handed to him. As the only son, his father worshipped him over his two sisters, as Yukikage was destined to carry the lineage forward. The young boy let it get to his head, realizing that no matter what he did, he'd get away with it. During his adolescence, Yukikage roamed across the province, his safety ensured by his father. The older he got, the more deeply involved he became with the seedy parts of society, choosing gambling, drinking, and whores over any education.



One day whilst mucking about in a neighbouring town Yukikage got news of the birth of a brother but thought nothing of it at the time. It wasn't until he returned home to beg his father for money that he noticed the impact of his baby brother. No longer was Yukikage seen as the golden son, the only viable heir, but his image had shifted to that of a good-for-nothing bum. So, one night he snuck into the toddler's chambers and slayed the young boy, leaving the comb of local harlot as the only evidence.

Mugen was once a renowned acrobatic stuntman who performed for circuses and theaters all across the island of Japan. Now he is a depressed drunkard who's turned to a life of crime. He is willing to rob, murder, and do just about anything immoral when it suits him. His acrobatic skills and his high pain tolerance makes him a somewhat formidable foe.

He is extremely impulsive and cares little of the lives of others, including his own. He often pisses off the wrong people and lands himself into deep shit which is why he doesn't stay in one place for too long.

The Warrior

A cousin of the Tani Clan, the Yoshinaga family were loyal soldiery and warriors dedicated to their cousins, the Tani Clan. Kenshiro was trained from birth to be a soldier, a tool of War. He prayed to the Kami that one day he'd be more, maybe an artist or a famous poet. But alas, that was a fate not for him. He is a soldier, a part of the greater collage of Men of Rengoku who fight for their Lords.

He encountered Takamoto Ogura rather early in his service to the Tani Clan, soon growing to talk to the elder. He learned more of his past, his son, and what he plans to do for the future of Rengoku at large. To rid Rengoku of scum, but a task the elder Ogura could not do alone. Kenshiro sympathized with him, taking a pledge to be an Apprentice to Takamoto, to keep fighting the hordes of Bandits and Demons that lurk and seek to destroy Rengoku. Under this somewhat secretive apprenticeship, he continues to loyally serve the Tani Clan, as his ancestors did. In his heart, he serves the justice of the Kami and justice for those who cannot defend themself.

To fight those who fight dishonorably, one must adapt. To not adapt is to die in this new era.​
