Why can MCP get the exact end they want, when everyone else has consequences?

Short post because this barely deserves love, anymore. Let alone, effort.

OTA get deployed when actual players are caught and have consequences for their actions. The MCP (consisting of staff and their characters), however, get to go onto a train, write a /event about how they’re leaving, then just unload their characters.

How does this make sense? How is this fair? If the MCP can just fuck off with no consequences to their characters, then why can’t the people who actually put effort into their characters?

Tf? In the train expo only 2 people defected. 1 civvie and 1 cop (non MCP) i’m confused

short effortless response to short effortless post

the MCP consistently portrayed themselves and acted above any law or narrative in their time in V2 because they're le evil secret gestapo police and you know they have to ruin everything. i hope this changes in V3

I thought the whole OTA clusterfuck was already deemed to be a mistake that shouldn't have escalated to the point it had. It shouldn't have happened, period.

People should be allowed to roleplay their characters ending however they like. V2 is ending, and people are attached to their characters.

It's the whole reason me and Plumber suspended most of CWU's rogue rules.

Same should've been granted for CivPro and MCP imo, and the argument shouldn't be "Why did MCP get away scott free but CPs didn't?", it should be "Why are CPs still held to rogue rules when they know more than anyone else how bad things have got globally."

honestly i do think that mcp abandoning the city provided rp to the situation and i cant complain too much about it, but the double standards are dumb.

cops who haven't gotten brainwashed still need permission to go rogue but mcp, who is made up of ex rank leaders (who have mmr and can't get rogue perms whatsoever) can freely walk off no questions asked and not even get stopped on the way there?

it's not really the mcp's fault either, it's just the sheer absurdity of requiring auths in a ROLEPLAY game. where roleplay is fluid and on the spot and can evolve within minutes.

The MCP got sent critical information in a private relay by the advisors literally nobody else was privy to. We knew what was happening before the rest did, we knew the severity and what it meant.

In any case, literally anyone can just up and leave and unload their characters for a happy ending if they so desire you don’t need to be staff to click that button. Problem with the recent group was that they broadcasted their intent on a compromised radio. And, yes, I supported the full NLR decision. Just making a point of fact.

They just don't realise that their happy ending is littered in absolute brainwashing galore and will eventually end unfashionably with game-ending themselves or being found, identified and hanged. You do not escape lobotomy that easily, and there's no escape from justice in this regard.

Nobody escapes the mega-deep brainwash that suffers it. The world of Half Life is a devastating one.
