WILLARD NETWORKS POLITICAL ARC MEGATHREAD:

This post is designed to enable players to more feasibly keep track and remain informed of the various occurrences which can drive the state of the Sector and World beyond. Below, each city within Sector 10 and those of notable influence beyond, have been fitted with a digestible and up to date overview of the cities condition, specialties and overall power. A section at the bottom of each will be dedicated to providing recent updates to this page.

Key of Displayed Information:

STATUS:
General Condition of the city and the populace which occupies it. Status is more a measure of security and its ability to function. A secure city will have no issues regarding population management. While a critical city will find itself unable to muster any of its efforts to full capacity. Major events are the typical means in which status will degrade.

City type:
Relays what a cities specialty or specialties are, representing the origin of the cities Influence. An industrial city will have little luck in trying to bribe or barb another entity over food shortages - but an Agri city will find themselves at an advantageous position anytime the stocks run low. Cities often act within the realm of these features. Its a manner in which the CT can prevent unintentionally making each city a jack-of-all-trades or magically summoning abilities that the city was not intended to have not long ago. Most cities will have two, though it is possible for particularly weak (or strong) cities to have only one.

Influence:
A generic measurement representing a cities overall power within the 'political' sphere. Cities with high influence will tend to be more resistant to unfavorable arrangements, and generally more resilient to misfortune brought about by interference - both civil and malignant. Those with low influence are much the opposite. Influence is gained and lost as the city prospers or falters.

Administrator:
The lead figure of each respective city.

General Overview:
A snapshot explanation of each cities function, condition and possibly even major historical events. The Overview provides slightly more detail as to how the city operates and why it does so in such manners.

News and Occurrences:
Contains data and lore information regarding recent and typically relevant activities within the various cities. This section will be updated as time goes on, as cities both respond and react to the whims of the player city, but also amidst their own squabbles.

(CONCEPT IN TESTING BELOW)

Information which is local enough that most citizens would reasonably be informed of its existence in some manner. Such information may also come from beyond the local area, if it was important enough or unprotected during its origin. All information marked as such can be utilized In Character by anyone.

Administrative:
A special type of category which acts as undisclosed information to all but those within the Core Administration. (CA, VA etc.) Information like this will typically be that which is relevant to the local area, but confined behind its own quarantine.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Once, City 24 was the center of power for all of Sector 10 and Western Europe. Its influence was considered to be global, second only to the likes of City Seventeen and City Eight. City 24 historically enjoyed a close relationship with the planetary powerhouse that is Summit 24, both geographically and politically. Often referred to as the loyalist capital, this grand jewel of Western Europe was a shimmering beacon of both power and commodity.

Until The Exogen Hordes breached its defenses...
City 24 is now but a shadow of its former glory. Fleeting, even today, its prosperity continues to remain in dire straits as the former juggernaut finds itself battered amidst the rocks of uncertainty. Now viewed as little more than a burden by most of its former allies, and largely a failure by those who hold its fealty, City 24 limps on. Desperate to recapture its lost glory before the rest slips away...

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Vassal to City 24 following its historically poor performance as an independent entity, this industrial corner of Geneva has served under the whims of Administrators abroad for as long as any care to remember. Guided by subservient Consuls, Industrial 24 is the dredge heap of its host city. The glamorous streets of Twenty-Four kept comfortable in their respective splendor by redirecting all undesired projects towards Industrial 24.

However, following the collapse Of Eastern Twenty-four, this forgotten and neglected subject has seen a spark of resurgence. Largely cut off from drivers beyond, the urban center has survived due to foreign support and its own internal machinations. With such newfound levels of independence, and the weakened condition of its host, some have aspired to bare 24's sigil no longer. Some...but not all.

NEWS AND OCCURANCES:

UNDISCLOSED / ADMINISTRATIVE NEWS
Executive Orwell and his MOC Cabinet have prescribed a plan to expand Industrial Twenty-Four's capability. Administrator Hank has greenlitten the massive project to Federalise the centre's capacities into multiple segments.

The question remains as to whether this will impact negotiations with other cities across the sector.

ADMINISTRATOR

Roseanna Harrell (REPLACED)
Rochelle Escoffier (APPOINTED)

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
A battered city that lost much of its value over a period of failures and invited desolation. Local resistance forces saw much success, having culminated in the thrashing of Dover Bridge and the unexpected attempt of its former Administrator, Desmond Blake, going rogue. This unparalleled move sparked a war that raged between loyalists, rebels and the confused fools who followed even a single declaration of Blake following his so-called independence. As the combat dragged on, each and every side slowly dissipated from the fronts - and fled.

When the Combine forces arrived across the repaired Dover Bridge, what was left of City Two was a battered metropolis, missing a large portion of its population that had fled to the outlands. Since then and since the removal of Blake and his allies, the cities old population has slowly been rounded up and returned to their concrete cage. The concept of loyalism long since forbidden to this city of traitors. It is a wild, brutal place, where order is placed beneath oppression. Its populace is starved, incapacitated and worked until expiration.

NEWS AND OCCURANCES:

PUBLIC / ADMINISTRATIVE NEWS
Delmond Blake has been confirmed dead along with the majority of his cabinet ministry that refused to surrender. Delmond was executed in the open streets of London, creating a martyr for his supporters and inspiring future resistance networks. Despite his devilry, he has been venerated by those who stood against the Combine. Rogue activity and corruption escalates to heavy crackdowns on a continual day to day basis.

Parliament has been destroyed in a devastating artillery barrage of canisters and shells. Overall, London is but a shadow of a shadow at this time.

City Two has been client-stated by City Thirteen, and is now spearheading the city's repair under a newly appointed administrator; Rochelle Escoffier.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Despite being on the edge of Sector 10, this city maintains its relevance almost exclusively through the continuation of the ECHELON program. The only of its kind, City nine is widely considered one of the very few cities to be almost as much a terminal as any sort of permanent residence. Subjects of the re-education programs constantly flow in and out of the city, and the urban center maintains administrative control of the nearby ECHELON facilities. The city has little exports beyond its reformed population sector, but controlling the lives and whims of the last generation has allotted it much influence all the same.

Even if it wont last forever.

ADMINISTRATOR

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Having spent much of its existence in second place, City 13 is host to a powerful but infinitely ambitious administration. Recently, they have been slingshot into the de-facto leading role of Sector 10, quickly moving to secure and maintain such a position. Their city is logistically sound, their workers efficient and martial elements are lauded for unmatched diligence. City 13 remains one of the most stalwart urban centers of all Sector 10.

Such reliability rarely goes unnoticed and the city has garnered a satisfactory reciprocity with many other notable cities, both regional and global. As quickly as City 24 had fallen, City 13 seemingly bounced back just as fast, not wasting a moment to finally overcome a long and silent rivalry.

NEWS AND OCCURANCES:

PUBLIC NEWS
Operation: D'Aiguillion has been successful, though with heavy casualties. Raymond Arcenaux has been personally congratulated by Global Administrator Doctor Breen and the Global Administration for his excellent performance.

ADMINISTRATOR

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Hosted next to one of the largest bounties of unique Xenian deposits, City Thirty-One took no deviation from its destined path. The city imparts its value on the notions of commodities and the mysteries of fantasy alike. The Leith docks form the backbone of the cities functions, enabling its sizeable trawling industry - itself supported by the positively infested waters therein - as well the many vessels that pass directly to the mainland.

Beyond such mundane functions. City Thirty-One is host to some of the most varied alien life still permitted to exist upon the planet. Even the infestation of America, despite its bulk, is little in variety to The Caledonian Coille. The exclusive storms during the crisis seeing, even to this day, specimens free of exploitation.

NEWS AND OCCURANCES:

UNDISCLOSED NEWS
A re-administrative crackdown occurred after rogue forces belonging to City Thirty One ended up within the battlegrounds of City Two, supporting Delmond's regime after being successfully coerced into believing City Thirteen was 'plotting to destroy London in its entirety'. This has severely impacted the administration's influence and reputation, showcasing that even City Thirty One is not as infallible as it seems.

McGuire denies any involvement or even any knowledge, which has been confirmed truthful after analysation of his interview with members of the R.E.D.

Casca Enrico

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Few cities on the face of the earth could lay claim to as much feuding as City 32. Unlike many other cities that hold combat and chaos close to heart, Thirty-two stands isolated in the origin of such conflicts; the administration itself. Despite the fact that the last organized rebellion occurred nearly ten years prior, the populace will speak as if war were always on the horizon. As if some new threat is always around the corner, or more characteristic for this city, right by the podium.

City 32, more than any other, has been subject to sycophant's and madmen, would-be politicians from a by-gone era who were just ruthless enough to ascend the mighty breadths of the Party but just arrogant enough to believe that in doing so they became its center. Despite its continued stability, all within it understand that explosive, wild and utterly charged social schisms are as likely to come as they are to suddenly go. Surrounded by wasteland, there's little else but to wait it out.

ADMINISTRATOR

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
A fortress city resting on the bones of a long dead island nation. Forty-Eight draws a thin line between a martial installation and a civic bastion. Unlike many other cities, rather than being converted by environmental damage or rampant pollution from hyper-active industrial sectors, Forty-Eight is much transferred by the technology and invasive structures of the Combine themselves. While the city itself is cracked and ridden with alterations which pervert its original design, the island itself and the life therein remains uniquely uncontested. So long as it does not reside within the waters nearby...

Production quotas when laid against other cities are minimal, and in penance for this, the Combine demands blood of a different kind. A vast trawling industry replaces the prior demands. Not for the sake of meat or sustenance, but rather rudimentary uses beyond. Corpses waste away as fertilizer on distant fields, skeletons are cracked and crunched to create powders carried for purposes unknown, and others still are formed anew into material alterations.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Powerhouse of industry beyond your standard workshifts and cycles of mundane production. Fifty-Seven is one of the Combines few technological theaters active within arms reach of its enslaved populations. The attraction of status within this city is escaping the grueling and unequivocally dangerous industrial productions that many beyond its walls believe it to be above. The higher ones standing within the party, the more a worker grows in his duties and obligations. From working the searing forges which deprive even the air of its moisture, to calculating mixtures of Medi-gel in controlled, conditioned facilities.

ADMINISTRATOR
Marijke Rietveld

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Host to a large contingent of CLC influence, multiple depots resting directly within its cities borders and another - even larger in stature - just beyond still. The city shares deep ties with City Thirty-One and City Nine given their inherent connection in shipment and supply chains, with almost all that comes from the North first joining Fifty-Eight before venturing further South.

Fifty-Eight is a regionally minded city, and not all of its wishes could be considered its own. Though ties with the CLC have enabled great control over the Northern logistics, it almost certainly has abided by certain costs in equal measure. In spite of this, the cities vast agricultural production, stripping the soil of life itself in its ceaseless endeavor, amounts the city towards self-reliance.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

A relatively quiet city, locked away deep within the lost peninsula of Europe. Isolated by both distance and the Infernos Partition to its North spares much of Madrids bones from being disturbed by mass revolt, civic uprising or any particular regard by the powers above. The industries of Fifty-Nine are scattered and wide-spread, rather than being held close to their core like many others. Camps and rail stops to the Northeast house Xenian farming communes, which chip away at local infestations for research and production purposes.

Even more interspersed across the aged peninsula is the trawling industry. All around the various bodies of water, river and lake alike, aquatic life blossoms beneath the uncontested outlands. Xenian creatures sometimes mixed aloft with Terran counterparts bobbing in the waters unseen. Fifty-Eights mass rail networks and logistic paths striving to interconnect and dry them all.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

City Eight is one of three global powers amidst the world. Absolute influence. Absolute power. Unlimited resources ensuring that the will of its local administration is carried out in any fashion it deems needed, in just about any corner of the planet. It is the single largest repository of Combine military power on Earth and hoists itself as both fortress and expeditionary bulwark. Though, the city does not lack in cultural and logistics output despite this martial focus, such is its size and efficiency.

Hosting a citadel at its core and a multitude of synthetic armories' about its flanks, City Eight has never even broached the topic of rebellion since the final thrashes of the Old World. Standing second only to the capitol itself, City Eight is a stalwart example of what every Combine city should be - if the Combine hardly cared enough to make it so.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Serving as the capitol city of Earth, chosen by the Planetary administrator himself, City seventeen is one regarded for its safety and its security. Having seen one of the most recent citadel addition and expansions of territory beyond, it together with its subsumed Industrial counterpart, remain at the center of mankind's fate. What is and what will be forging the path ahead.

There is no better ally than The Administrator, and contrarywise, no worse enemy.
