Baylor University would like to
express its sorrow in relation
to the loss of William Stoner.
Adjunct Professor Stoner was
considered by many to be wise
beyond his years, and though
his trip to Scranton to acquire
paper ended in disaster,
his work for our University, though
brief, will be regarded for years
to follow. A memorial plaque will
be placed beneath a light;
for his Vonnegut class considered
him to be something of a guiding
light all on his own. William Stoner is
survived by his wife and daughter.​

Traffic accident on the road trip back from Scranton. It was a big highway pile up where a dozen other V2 characters also died.
