could have imagined. They made me forget you, a lot of it is still foggy,

You lived a relatively casual life, a normal job, we had normal conversations.
In a strange way, speaking with you almost let me forget what the world had
come to. It's a shame you left, the time I spent around you always humored me.

The things we do to people, the things we force others to do. None of us

The Death of Marat has been avoided, replaced with a life
of shame. I played my part, made the situation worse where I could
and ruined you. We ruined you. The girl who simply wanted to help,
reduced to a stuttering mess of gloom - though it seems not all is lost.
You still wish to help, though your goal is one I do not see you
accomplishing. It's noble, it's pure, but I simply believe it to be
a great impossibility. I'll help you where I can, I owe you that much.
