"My story? Born and raised in Spain. In a world much different than the one we know today. I grew up in a modest family, we cherished the close-knit bonds that we shared. My parents instilled in myself a strong sense of justice and compassion, taught me to value the freedom and dignity of every individual... what a bunch of horseshit!
My early years were filled with dreams of a bright future, and I pursued my education with great enthusiasm. I developed a keen interest in law enforcement and justice, I suppose that was due to being inspired by the very "noble concept of safeguarding society and upholding the rights of the people." Oh how clueless I was back then... Everything obviously changed when the Combine came. Their invasion was swift and devastating, immediately proving their obvious superiority to the human race. My parents... they died during the war, only myself, my brother and sister remained and not long after that I was left alone, due to being separated from my siblings. I guess you could say I was somewhat devastated by the loss of my family, but I've come to accept their fate. In the aftermath, as the Combine’s rule solidified, I found myself struggling to survive. Initially I was filled with anger and resentment towards the invaders, I witnessed the futility of resistance and the severe consequences it brought upon those who dared to defy them. Over time, my perspective began to shift. The weight of my losses, coupled with the realization that resistance would only lead to further suffering, I gradually transformed my outlook. I saw the desperation and fear in the eyes of other humans, and a sense of resignation settled within myself. I simply accepted the Combine’s dominance as it became a means of self-preservation." "Why haven't I sought employment? Uh... I don't know. Nothing interesting has come up yet. Well there's the Civil Protection... but their applications have been closed since I arrived into this goddamn city. I did send an application letter to the City Administrator's office earlier about that secretary position. Look, I'm just trying to find a job best suited for a man of my stature. You know how they say all men were created equal? Well newsflash, they fucking weren't. Cause I'm better than most of the people here anyway in every single way.
Anyways, I'll talk to you later when something interesting has come up in my life." |

Reinhardt Schmitt Now now... what have we here? Met you when I first arrived to this district and you immediately presented me with compassion and friendship. Why? This I am yet to find out. You don't ask dumb questions, you seem well educated and capable of adapting to most situations... I rarely show respect to anyone, but you sir, you've earned it. |
Grant Pressman Grant... now where should I start with that guy... you were also one of the first people I got to know during my time in District Eleven. We became closer after that whole fighting ring event that one CP organized. Bad luck seemed to follow you everywhere, or was it to do with luck or just you simply being weak? Regardless, somehow you've managed to get in to the ranks of other T4 members so very quickly, how? I do not understand. Don't get me wrong, you're a cool guy and I trust you, but you don't deserve to be above me. |
