'Ya'avi And the Grubs', (also commonly shortened to 'YAG') is what is now known as a 'scrap band', the only form of real modern music within society in this day and age, who form their instruments mostly through scrapped items, though can carry some old pre-war instruments. This band is unique for one primary reason, they feature a Vortigaunt as their main singer, their main selling point. They have remained to perform within the sewers of City 24 since May of 2010 and have gathered an amazing following within the C24 underground community, by refugees and rebels alike. Their music echoes through the sewer systems, drawing many near, commonly heard emitting from sewer grates and manholes on the surface, where citizens will typically gather around and listen. The band consists of 6 members, with the main one being Ya'avi (Whose nickname is translated to 'Voice' in Vortigese.) The rest of the band also go by nicknames, preferring to keep their real identities a secret. Jackie-Cruel, who plays the barrel drums, Kinsman, player of the windpipe, VIP, the banjo/guitar/electric guitar player (also plays the violin from time to time), Prawn, who uses a scrapped harmonica, and Chime, who pretty much just bashes various items (typically his frying pan, whom he named Grista) against a makeshift gong-type instrument.

Ya'avi claims that their song's lyrics typically revolve around the topic of freedom, and standing up against the oppressive, all thought up by himself. They've released official merchandise over the months, including a 'What you should know about YAG' info booklet, which goes into how they formed, where they formed, getting to know more about the members, full translations of their song lyrics, etc. They sold out rather fast, however, as only so many could be produced, given the limited resources underneath C24 that take a while to restock. Each individual booklet has each member's personal signature. Another piece of merchandise that sold out rather quickly (but still get produced once in a while) were polo shirts with the 'YAG' logo written on in permanent marker, sold at one of the underground concert events in October, 2010. The info booklets have a rare presence within the C24 underground market, commonly reselling at high prices.
