| 4/6/2018 After much consideration, I've decided to keep this log for my own mental health and a clear record of the events that have transpired in City 24 while I'm here. It will also prove useful if I need to look back at my own daily report for any leads on cases. I've taken a strong liking to the IAT department, being a 'detective' and examining the cases we have, gives me much more purpose and allows me to delve deeper into the troubles of this city. After city 8 I needed a change in my life. I'll never forget the tormented cries and the hideous laughter of those that were exposed to the red fog within Tokyo. So many people died that day for the sake of a mad man who wanted data, Dr. Hex Sanchez. I'll see to it those involved will be punished by my own hands if need be. I've already begun examining some employees of Willard Industries for their involvement... On another note I find myself slipping on my own morals and values. The first time I had to kill a man, Kazuki Miyamaru, was not an easy one. The man held a grudge against the Union and was an Underclass citizen. Per the recommendation of LINE-9, I was to confiscate any excess clothing an underclass had on them. Little did I know Kazuki's jacket was a final gift from his father he'd refused to give up. When I tried to confiscate it he assaulted me and then fled for it which he was later caught by a PT. They dragged him to questioning and so I began my duty. However mid-way through the interrogation, I threatened to burn away his precious jacket which resulted in him tackling me to the ground. It was not long after I'd found myself in a room with a dying man with two bullets within him... I put him out of his misery and threw his body into the pit of the nexus. However, I kept his jacket as a memento of him and his father. Not out of spite mind you, but because I couldn't bring myself to remove that which was so important to him. |
