Zai'tor
"Thy troubles are mounting, children of man, but the moment of true liberation dawns as surely as a sun rises in the morn'. We have waited for this day, so too have we honed our skills for the time of true freedom... the time of true retribution. Let our shouts of defiance be the sounding bell of the Combine's demise, and all that follow them will be ours to do with as we will. To feast."

A warrior, scarred, broken, beaten. He was once one of the finest warriors his tribe ever produced, and Zai'tor saw conflict in a myriad of battles... no less than Earth itself amongst its number.

Described as a warrior-poet by some, Zai'tor came to be known as both a gladiator of renown as well as a wise and just teacher. His ruthlessness was recognised, as much as his benevolence to those he described as kith and kin-- warriors true.

Zai'tor found all battles to be glorious, however the Xenian invasion of Earth he found to be very much the contrary.

Strange halls and alleys, metal corridors that seemed to spam eternity. The strange stunted creatures that fought with metal and unseen technology, though none were truly a match for the seasoned Vortigaunt.

Except for one, the one that got away.

Zai'tor regrets the invasion of Earth even to this day, for they invaded with no true choice in the matter... being enslaved to another being, the indignity was often impossible for the Vortigaunt to swallow, just as it was when he was captured by the Combine.

He plotted, and waited... he defied, and often was sent to the battery for his supposed sins. Until one day he was freed, by friends and freedom fighters both.

And now the old warrior must fight again, for the liberation of Earth... the planet he had once sought to conquer and to free his kin in abundance. But most of all, he would hunt his new prey-- the Combine; Loyalist, Civil Protection, Administration... all were marked.

And all would perish.

Eric Bayer - A figure of respect in the eyes of the scarred and vile warrior. They were among the number that secured his freedom in a terrific blow against the Combine Empire. As a creature of its word, and as a creature of honour, Zai'tor is now forever pledged to fight in The Bayer's name. But not all bonds are unbreakable... and taming a wild spirit like the old warrior is a hard task, and if not given enough freedom, who knows where the path may lead?

Gareth Vas
- Equal in measure to Eric Bayer, Gareth has also commanded an extreme level of loyalty from the Vortigaunt. Having known the man for quite a while now, and in addition to being party to the group that secured his release, there are many circumstances in which Zai'tor would lay down his own life in protection of his liberators.

Maxine Lee - Similar to the others once known as the Sunrise Sanctuary, Maxine Lee is considered an ally and perhaps even somewhat of a friend towards Zai'tor... but not friends in the same way humans may view it. The alien once considered them to be on rather friendly terms, though with the human's appearances in the city square becoming less and less frequent, the warrior has turned his attention onto more pressing matters-- and people, around him.

Betty Arbuckle - The owner of the Sunrise Sanctuary, once. A long time ago. Zai'tor is sometimes reminded of Betty Arbuckle whenever he stares into a roaring, unyieldly flame... the similarities were there, they reminded the alien of itself as well. The woman burned ferociously and had the passion to be one of the most fierce warriors of them all if she had the courage.
