THE LORD OF SODA
Born in Yunnan, Kunming’s Panlong district, in the fall of 1975, Zhou Zhemin took a rather monotonous path in life, working as an early software engineer at Yunnan University while finding passion in writing short romantic poems, publishing his work under a separate moniker during the midst of Deng Xiaoping's economic liberalization of China, bringing much needed economic and cultural reform from the bountiful trade with the western sphere; though living underneath the turbulent dictatorship amid its peak economic and cultural growth in the late eighties and early nineties, Zhou Zhemin would live an uneventful yet romantically perilous lifestyle, having luckily avoided both services and scouting from the Youth League and CCP; he spent the majority of his time during the economic boom working a menial job as a software engineer at Yunnan University before gradually transitioning into a marketing position at a rising technology firm in China; however, corporate politics and internal dilemmas led to his abrupt fall from grace and voluntary ousting from the company.Dejected, his life would change by the age of Twenty-Six when the Portal Storms and Seven Hour War commenced, sending any potential future career prospect into ruins and upheaving his lifestyle as he was now desolate, indentured to an oppressive draconian government, and subject to constant life-or-death situations at the hands of starvation, overpopulation, and collapse by the majority; this shock came about following the cancellation of the 16th National Congress in 2002 and the mandated ceasing of all normalities following the declaration of National Emergency from the Chinese Communist Party and the immediate dissolution of collegial orders among the more isolated urban centers as they came under encroachment from the Xenian Malignancy which rapidly tore unhampered through the countryside in Drews alongside the violent portal storms which wreaked havoc and death in their path.
Forced to relocate to Beijing from the engulfed countryside following the Portal Storms but just before the Seven Hour War, Zhou Zhemin would be one of few to count themselves lucky and alive as he oversaw the disposition of one tyrant for another and the subservience of humanity to foreign, alien rule at the hands of the Combine Empire; having been in Beijing before the Seven Hour War and witnessing its fall, Zhou Zhemin would watch the municipal's overnight mutation as it took upon its new designation, City Fifty-One, with Zhou Zhemin taking on a career working in the then-established Banking Clan of 51 under Han Mingyu following the brief intermediary reconstruction period.
Soon, Zhou Zhemin and his connections with the Banking Clan of 51 began drifting closer to a newly-established neon and fluorescent light manufacturing company, Tenzhen Industries™. Founded by Guo Xiuying in City Fifty-One for recreational products and utilities for a variety of consumer goods in the aftermath of the Seven-Hour War, at the behest of the Banking Clan's encouragement, the company quickly capitalized on the lack of competition, monopolizing many of the essential and non-essential industries within City Fifty-One, embedding itself as a pivotal conglomerate organization with direct ties to the Banking Clan of 51, becoming one of the sole proprietors of neon and fluorescent light manufacturing across East-Asian settlements.
Tenzhen Industries™ would not see its fullest potential reached until its eventual market shift towards City Eight following the escalations of local tensions and unrest made the city increasingly uninhabitable, culminating in the decision to abandon City Fifty-One in favour of an invitation to relocate to City Eight from the City Eight Administration with beneficial terms, in fear of the precarious situation, using his prior marketing experience to net himself a comfortable position despite his antecedent loyalties to the Banking Clan of 51; reaffirming his obedience to a more-than-pleased Tenzhen Industries™, both his and the executives suspicions confirmed as the anticipated collapse of City Fifty-One would occur only several months after his subsequent transfer.
Following their acquisition by the City-Eight Administration, as part of their ongoing effort to restructure the formerly Chinese-homogeneous company into a multi-cultural organization comprising both native Japanese and Chinese Diaspora, as well as increase domestic exports and consumer goods to foreign markets as part of a grand initiation by the City-Eight Administration to accumulate and expedite external influence on foreign markets and administrations; Since then, the Tenzhen Industries™ conglomerate has since diversified its portfolio of products and industries, incorporating recognizable brand restaurants, motel chains, rapidly expanding into alternative markets such as technologies, food, and even weapons manufacturing and tested exclusively to City Eight.
Enduring its restructuring by the City Eight Administration in a fruitful attempt to secure the loyalty of its transferring members, Zhou Zhemin would take a prominent leading role in its publicity, serving a middle-ranked role in the grand organizational structure; endowed with a sense of fidelity and indebtedness towards the city which had saved his life following the collapse of City Fifty-One, Zhou Zhemin would serve dutifully and diligently for his company and the administration for the next ten years until culminating in his eventual appointment to act as the company ambassadorial liaison to City Twenty-Four as part of their ongoing efforts to expand overseas following the establishment of Tenzhen Soft Drinks™, serving as its leading chief grounds officer in City Twenty-Four.
