To me I cannot mark this situation as void for a number of reasons:
Who's going to make a final verdic on this? Because i need people from the outside to give their opinion on this aswell. If there's only You and Me who's talking, it will quite fast become a "concentrated" topic. At the end of the day, everyone is being effected by this and people should have a say in this. Stashes has always been a IC knowledege norm which has been promoted by Admins this enitre time. It's as if i'm fighting a goverment alone, i can't do anyhting because you have the powers to do whatever you want. But that doesn't mean that you're in the right Robert.
Every store was raided and every store that met the employee requirements had their containers searched specifically for contraband. Since that was the whole reason CPs were searching in the first place.
1. You searched my store, nothing illegal was in my public store containers. Nothing illegal was laying around or illegal workbenches. But it when i goes as far as Cp's walking in a room and /Rolls 80 and open my stash like a bag o chips- Then that's where the line has to be drawn... No explination whatsoever on what was actually being promoted during the beta was ever mentioned.. I've said this multiple times now, my previous stash in my office on Beta was literally blown up by a grenade, set on fire and deep-searched 3 times just like this one. You can't just overlook the fact and randomly change the rules like it's a playground and let Cp's /roll everytime they see a OOC'ly stash, when that wasn't the case 3 weeks ago.
I'm pretty sure that Hamzah kassem made a complaint about this, I myself also made a complaint, along with another one. And it don't think anyone of us really got a direct answer to the question regarding the 9/11 bombing of my stash. We clearly explained what happened, and the staff team was alright with everything that happen. No mention of a stash being OOC'ly exposed, or we didn't contributed with enough RP and /me's. Or if it simply wasn't alright with us having a stash there. You can't just be alright with it for one day, and then mix it up and say it's not alright the other day. You need to see the big picture here and just not foucs on cp's raiding.
Your store also met this limit, I see you say that some of the people online at the time weren't really employees but I will put a comment on that below on how you as the store owner could fix this...
2. We both know the fact that the raid was boderline rule-break. I would have been completely fine if perhaps i myself was online, or another offical employee sush as Boris or Hamzah. Then i would completely be fine with this specific topic. But raiding it when none offical member is online and the only people valid enough is unoffical employee's, then there has be some sort of understanding to that: "perhaps we should chill with the raid." These unoffical employee's doesn't even work the counter or have access to the door/containers. They swing by to drop off some food which we have to paid for either way.
You must RP hiding stashes. If we allowed people to do things like hiding stashes without RP... oh boy would people get annoyed. For me, if someone calls me over and ask to hide their stash, I ask them to do the /me's and everything for it. Since it isn't just a process of slapping the container down. In the end, this is a RP server... if you don't rp hiding it and I come along to check logs if the container was hidden, I as an admin can now say "No, this container was never hidden."
3. Everyone has been hidding stashes OOC'ly ever since the beginning of Willards. I've always had a stash in my office, and everytime i call an Admin or some sort of CA. I've never been told that i "must" contribute with /me's for me to allow it being there. They OOC'ly place it there, they put some sort of scenetext or text over it. And they're completely fine with that. Resulting it in being valid. You can't just come a few days later and tell me the stash isn't valid when it gets raided. And you have this image of yours where the stash is valid for the Civil Protection but no valid for me? If it hasn't been valid from the very beginning then it should have been OOC'ly/IC still in the hidden room where it always had been. Or why didn't Linda tell me? There's no sort of logic or resonable understanding what's going on here. You pick something that suits youself but you're missing the bigger picture here.
This just seems like common sense to me. But sure, if we do make rules against hidden containers, this will be mentioned on it. But for the most part, this is how I have been operating since the beginning. If an Admins doing differently... well a training session is coming up to tell them otherwise.
4. Yeah, this is completely understandable from your point of you. But at the end of the day, me who is prioritising or "maining" Citizen characters knows what everyone else is exposed to when it comes to perhaps Admin interactions. From your own CP veiw it might sound alright this enitre situation. But from us the Citizen's view it's absolutely bongos. Perhaps that's just your way of operating, but that doesn't mean everyone else has been operating the same way just like you. That's what i've been trying to say.
In fact... when putting a container under the floor. I definitely expect RP... otherwise, to me it's just plain BS. Sounds harsh, but it's honestly a bit silly to not RP such an action an expect admins and player to simply accept it...
Once again your view of this... Me who has been with nemours different admins and placings of stashes knows that not a single Admin requires some sort of /me for them to place down the stash OOC'ly. And what am i suppose to do? "Dig with my hands?". I can bring forward multiple people who can support+ me on this topic. And perhaps it sounds a bit silly for you, but this is what we've been living with. And you youself Robert knows that i contribute with RP when it's needed. I wouldn't create a group throughout the months when server was being developed. Only to be lazy on some /me's that has never been required by admins. And ruin all my progress within a snap of a finger.
Not to mention, there are other hidden stashes which I went to, and they all got RP and /me's surrounding them. So it seems so far only you are having this problem. No offence.
I bet. I never saw the public stashes that everyone is using being put there by CWU trucks passing by and installing it. I might be playing a bit plain dumb right now but that's literally the case here.
I noticed you said this isn't thought out. Well, actually it is... you could just ask for a TP outside of your business for one. The refund can still go through, there is nothing magically stopping it. This just seems like the most random point to make in the entire universe when you forget admins have magical powers to go through walls and ignore combine locks. And the situation resolution was thought in a way to make a balance between you and the Cps
No, this isn't though out well at all. Let me explain.
You raided my business and took my gun. My stash is still in the hidden room along with one in the office. And i'm OOC'ly stuck in my own business with combine looks. Not only do i have a 93 BOL target on my back which is going to get me killed either. BOL is literally just a dragged out process of a PK either way. If you place me on the streets, i'll be apprehanded by the Civil Protection less than 20 min. If you place me down in the sewers i'll die of Xen Spores within 10 min because the screen goes all blurry and i can't go to the surface. And additonal to that, the spores are suppose to promote cityRP and since i'll be permanently stuck there it will resulting is an absolute boring outcome and eventually death and loss of interest. Not to mention the fact i can't defend myself due to the gun being taken.
And a bonus to this aswell, i can't go into the city and fetch my refund, because i'll probably be caught and executed due to the BOL. And if i manage to get into the establishment i'll be charged with breaking in due to me not owning the business anymore. And i can't exatcly drag it out of there without being noticed.
You say that we only lose a gun and the Civil protection gains some SC and a promotion. But in reality, our entire group that was suppose to promote CityRP literally got thrown out the window and ruined. My employee's lose their permits and work. Associates and hangarounds lose pontial future RP. I lose my entire business establishment and i get thrown out with a BOL charge on my back which is literally a PK but dragged out. The refund doesn't matter because i'll be dead either way and i have no secondary base location to set up. You know how much we contributed during the beta with RP as we got regonized in the annoucmnets and a lore video being written by Rad-X.
We lose everythingbecause of a stash that shouldn't have been found.
I can agree with one solution to this.
The Civil protection can do whatever they want with the gun. Give them SC or promotions as that is seen as fair. And remove 10-20 SC on my account.
And i lose the gun as i've put more than 48h of hard work and dedication into that. That's a fair trade which i can accept.
But due to all the miss-information and unwritten rules and the general outcome. Not to mention the factors i've provided along with me getting a refund. But putting a BOL on me, lossing my business, and throwing out potential group that promotes CityRP then that has to be the line.
IN the end, the CPs are also players who got told they can raid that container and so they did. If we want to make it fair by saying you were misinformed, so were they. Thus they should also be allowed to keep their RP they just did while raiding the store, rather than being told to simply void it since in the end, this complaint is technically, by all means, a player vs player complaint with the rules being put into question.
You cannot drag Civil Protection over the same faction as Citizens. Citizens work 3x as hard to get somewhere when it comess to items and SC. Not to mention building something unique with their characters. But doing that require time and stability. All that can be thrown out the window due to one bullet in the back of the head because of a CP, or a situation just like this one. All that a Civil Protection Officer could get is a demotion or losing some SC, at most a PK.
So in short, the way this plays out is pretty simple really:
- You join game
- Admins refund you most of your items and placed in a container
- You get tp'ed out of store
- Wait for store to open again
- ???
- profit
- Rebuild the lost weapon
- Find a better place to hide it.
Again, to us this is solved with both sides getting something. CPs gain a gun which they were given SC and a promotion for. As well as some other IC things which I won't meta. And you gain some of your stuff back. In the end, its a compromise for the misinfo.
As i explained earlier. We lose everything in short.
