Explanation: Have training camps for Rebels and Rebel groups. They shouldn't be super advanced or anything, They should merely be a shooting range an area to serve food/ store the weapons i.e a table and weapon crates. maybe a shitty little tire or parkour course for them. And have someone there to actually teach them stuff.

Reasoning: There are plenty of times OTA/CP's get training and it would be both good for ic and ooc reasons of familiarity to give Rebels some weapons and s2k training.
In the past we've had BMD's roll up and let rebels demo AK47's. Well there's plenty of groups such as the wardens who would more then likely be willing to train rebels in techniques for attacking/ambushing and using weapons properly. There are also groups with connections to them, So what I suggest is maybe every once and awhile (Depends on how everyone feels) The Wardens or some Admin group will setup a sort of training camp in the admin box and they'll practice with rebel players and teach them how to use their new-found gear better against CP's/OTA and give those of us on the Combine side a worthy enemy to fight and It'll give rebels a fun little event to do, I understand there's going to be some people who are going to not be interested in this or out-right be against it, But I think it's fair that the rebels get a little bit of s2k/tbc training same way CP's/OTA Do but on a much more primative level, Where OTA/CP's do advanced state of the art combat simulations with good gear. Rebels will be taught basic's like laying ambushes preparing and executing them. Preparing explosives and using them to destroy combine patrols and so on.

(Example of what a rebel training camp may look like in actuality)

I feel like there should be a method of selection for training. Just sending rebels off to get trained one after another seems like it'll create an unfair advantage where tons of rebels can just go get trained up.

What if we utilized the reputation system that was recently announced? If a group obtains enough rep, they can use some to train a single member. It doesn't cost too much, but it's essentially the Insurgencies (Wardens, Nachtigallen) spend time and resources to train a rebel, so they'd probably ask for something in return.

Well this is kind of what Im thinking right, Especially having groups like the wardens which would likely be more interested in this then any group.
Even if it's simply a class taught by outland rebels on how to make Molotov's or improvised traps and weapons to increase damage dealt to Overwatch forces. I think it would be a positive experience for most of the people who find themselves on the receiving end of it not to mention it will give us more experienced and trained fighters to deal with as OTA/CP's instead of people who grinded to build a rifle and armor for a week then get domed. Teach them how to lure CP's into IED's, Teach them how to improvise a junk cannon mortar, Teach them how to hit a CPT And flank them while using cover and concealment. I.E The park for example? Perfect concealment for an ambush if properly executed. Imagine learning how to lie in wait for an Unsuspecting PT. Stuffing a home made remote IED Into the lockers by triumph so when those CP's radio 11-99 the rushing CP's set off a mine and get blown to smithereens allowing the rebels attacking time to finish the first guys maybe grab some gear and run.

The idea here is to give people room to grow as characters and to learn stuff to make things more interesting, If the rebels put the work in they did today attacking CP-3 And knew proper guerilla tactics January 15th would've gone a lot different.

The way I'd introduce this is, Have a job by a group such as the Wardens, Where at the end they pick those who did exceptionally well and they offer to bring them and a few other rebels off to their camp via train, And they learn recipes tactics and how to use and make weapons.

Believe it or not, If the rebels stopped capping eachother for stupid ideological differences and selling one another out, And put The kinda work in they did today they could cause A-lot of damage to the combine, Imagine what would've happened had the January 15th Rebels built a mortar or blown up the entrance from Nexus to Victory street cutting off reinforcements? Imagine had they launched an Improvised artillery piece agianst a building causing damage that would need a workshift, Or perhaps they could home make a machine-gun emplacement that might be used to hold off invading transhuman arm soldiers.

A base in the event box is stupid. People need that for events and OTA don't even have theirs in the event box.
Noone said there would be a permanent base in the box?

We actually discussed this and it is a possibility as I will be talking with Booile about it when he relaxes some and gets the Nacht shit in order. People have gotten alot of rep lately with Nacht specifically so theres a chance they'll be sending out people to train local cells. Theoretically. In things like combine tech, tactics, weapon usage and possibilities.

I mean nothing is stopping people from making one. This is more so IC issue

Clearly what is meant here is that there should be a space on the map reserved for such a common training area, not that somebody should put up some tires, so it's not "an IC issue"

Personally disagree though, if they add that much space to Indigent it should be used for something more commonly benefitted from than a shooting range, unless it's some combo thing like a little playground that rebels use for target practice

don’t need the admin box to make a training camp.

regardless, i feel like if there actually was one made, the resistance wouldn’t feel as freedom-fighter esq as it should.

...Just find an apartment Room and make it IC...
Yeah and when an AK goes off 40 cops swarm in full TAG and gun down like 5 developed characters, Big brain move there.

I don't get why so many people are so opposed to the idea of giving rebels training.

I think you're really overshooting what I'm suggesting here, I'm suggesting one of those dinky ISIS Camps sitting in the desert for them to train in. And learn shit to make them an actual threat instead of cannon fodder.

But hey, The fuck do I know right!? It's totally unlike rebels *Cough Star wars* For Them to actually train *Cough NVA* *Cough IRA* *Cough* Mujahadeen* To recieve formal training to make them more deadly right? Who the fuck needs to know how to use a mortar when you can just drop the shell in send it right into the building infront of you and kill everyone around you? Or shoot weapons holding the magazine cus HAHAH Im WEBULL!!!
