I'm dying to hear! Tell me about pre-war restaurants.

Message: The first picture looks like it was taken in a car, it looks like windshield wipers, I can't tell exactly what the second picture is, it looks like an office building to me.

I remember I often took my wife to an Italian restaurant when she was still with us, I can't remember the name of it though. I do remember what I loved to order; Wedding soup, A soup filled with spinach, and veggies, as well as tiny noodles and meatballs, I always ate too much of the complementary bread before the food was ready, and ended up filling myself up before the meal was served, I don't really know how I didn't end up being overweight. The restaurant looked pretty similar to some of the modern loyalist restaurants you might see in the nicer districts of 24, but this restaurant had REAL food and tasted so much better too.

There was another place I liked going to, not anywhere close to as fancy as the previous restaurant I mentioned, but I loved it all the same. It was a burger place called "Jakes Burgers", they sold burgers, fries, and milkshakes there, the burgers and fries had enough grease in them to kill a horse but I ate there regardless. The milkshakes they made there were served in giant metal cups in order to keep the drink really cold, the shakes were massive too, never could fully finish one after eating my meal. The junk food in the old world might have not been healthy, but at least it tasted good, the stuff nowadays tastes bad AND isn't good for you.

Fast-food restaurants went extinct as soon as people weren't allowed to drive cars anymore, the whole point of fast food was so you could quickly pick something up on your way to work, or while you are on a road trip across states. It sure as hell wasn't healthy, I think it was mainly preservatives, but it tasted amazing. I miss Mcdonald's french fries.

My stomach is rumbling now that I'm thinking about fries, and now I'm thinking about dipping sauces. I can't remember the last time I tasted BBQ sauce or Ranch dressing, I don't think any modern restaurants even have ketchup. if any of you want to open a food place, getting some nice sauces is a must.

Sorry for rambling, I hope this helps give you an idea of what food was like back then, I don't know if I'll ever taste something as good as any of the foods I just talked about, but I can dream.

Oh, you can make homemade ketchup easily. If you can get real potato's, you can make fries and ketchup.
(Fake potato's are possible aswell, if, you can stand the plastic taste)

Message: This network is curious. It reminds us of your internet prior to the war that we had spent a rather large amount of time on. We especially remember the site known as somethingawful, which was a useful source of information relating to humanity. As for us, if it is not obvious we are of Vortal design and have been searching for a place in which we can discuss our exploration of the deep outlands and the relics of the old world inside.

We have explored many Mcdonald's and none of them remained open. In-fact, all your former fast food franchises have been ground into the void under the oppression of the Combine Regime.

Except for this one "Waffle House" that we found in the former South-East United States. Its still open even to this day.
