There's an easy fix to the loyalist system, just make it harder to get the status. We should totally and without me meming, make it so you're capped at +2 gain SC a day.
SC system is the problem, It makes people want to grind. I think we are trying to move past that. Or make it so tier four's are better monitored.

It was an obvious meme but yeah. In the overall perspective... I do find the system to be far too grindy and really does bore me sometimes, especially when it's way too easy to lose it all but beyond difficult to gain it.

This is an interesting concept but is quickly shot down with how dull the personality of most collaborators are, they either fully support the combine or are so ambiguous with their opinion of them it's unrealistic.
I think the quality of the characters has a lot to do with it. I think the SC system is like the loyalist "chips" in a way. Rebels grind for chips loyalist grind for SC. The people who get SC the fastest get their fancy tier 3 then talk to someone and get tier 4. People accepted into tier four. Something needs to be done to fix that.

Dude you said not memeing. Keep it serious, please.

Loyalism is something I always want to be apart of, wanting a tier 4 armband a cool jacket. But then I actually got tier 4 and got bored instantly, the only thing really bringing me back is LA meetings as they really are made for loyalists.

You get some pretty cool benefits when becoming a tier 4 but you're not really invited or asked to join anything interesting. I would of thought there be more high class jobs as tier 4 but there really isn't. Perhaps more events/expeditions aimed at loyalists, giving the feeling they're actually apart of something above the normal citizen.

A good example of a collaborator who had personality is the one and only, Goodfella. Though most of us can agree he was very nice and kind IC people forget he worked under the combine, doing speeches over the district spreading their agenda, and in some cases even having a hand in it. Though he was a nice guy people often forget what he actually did to help the combine, most of it was masked by his charisma and personality, similar to Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds or Lalo Salamanca from Better call saul, someone evil but something you can look past due to their charismatic nature.

the last cool "loyalist" esque event i saw was a workshift that was done in the eventbox where CWU with citizens went out into the outlands to help fix thumpers near a antilion cave with CP escort

the CWU and some citizens found a rebel stache nearby that had junk guns with ammo for them and right as that happened, the antilions attacked, so the loyalists and a few citizens armed up and helped fight them off alongside CP's, while the unarmed frantically worked to fix the thumpers before they ran out of ammo

shit like that was cool

CCA is stagnant ultimately because the status-quo is so heavily engrained in the server. None of the positions change and even during map changes or events happen, the same 5 or 6 people (myself included tbh) hold the CCA positions.

Loyalist RP is a pain in the ass to get into and lowkey kinda boring. The lack of any upward mobility, backstabbing, and trickery means that once you get into a position of power there's nothing for you to do other than sit in meetings and ramble about X or Y menial slice of life problem. Even getting to that point is a pain in the ass though.

There's a ton of solutions out there but I highly doubt any will be considered or, if they are, it'll take 10 months and likely be butchered in the process. Instead wait for X/Y/Z which will fix everything.

If anything I feel like a good start would be to host some weekly loyalist parties. Let's say one of the establishments in Triumph/Victory gets turned into a hall that every Friday hosts a loyalist meeting to discuss shit, eat up and interact with citizens that get allowed inside. It won't solve the problem at all but it will be a good step at establishing some kind of a steady way to keep things flowing and allow for more interesting passive than just meeting at a bench. It would also give Civil Protection, Loyalist Guards (I forgor their name) and potentially OTA something to do. That would also be a good opportunity for CCA members to come out and directly interact with the city whilst encouraging low tier citizens into loyalism. Like they would be special guests that only really talk with loyalists of tier 4+. The higher the tier the greater the comforts encountered inside the hall. Another positive of such meeting is an easier way for T3/T4/T5 to interact with proper people to more easily get to know them and ascend in rank. Finally, the rebels could try sneaking in or just openly assaulting the meeting to cause chaos.

I believe all parties would benefit from something like this. It *was* hosted in the past but only from a time to time. More regular and open meeting in a building made solely for this purpose allows for more ahead planning and whatnot.

In summary:
Citizens - Get to interact with important figures, more open way to persuade them into allowing a T4 ascension or simply addressing urgent problems.
Loyalists (T4/T5) - Spread their influence to ultimately end up in T6 or even CCA. Get benefits from their status. Interact with citizenry at more official manner.
Loyalists (T6/CCA) - Show up in a relatively safe location, getting to interact with populace. Get benefits because of their importance. Get to actually use their power, manipulate others and whatnot as it's on them to decide who becomes who.
Civil protection/Loyalist Guards - Get to protect the party, earn some additional STC and from a time to time stop chaos that rebels will inevitably cause.
OTA - Deploy when shit hits the fan.
Slummers/Rebels - Have a reason and specific date to prepare more organized attacks with the goal of disrupting something or assassinating a figure that bothers them.

My two cents, I can even take up the task of hosting this as a GM if no player shows the iniciative.

Adding on to this, it is painfully easy to lose SC. You can lose half of your daily allowance because a frustrated cop catches you Shift+W-ing. That isn't remotely fun and cripples the enjoyment of anyone trying to get into shit like Civil Protection.

Getting work from cops for points sounds fun too until the cops get sick of sitting at a desk because 10-15+ loyalists line up at once, desperate for points, and don't interact with you when you try and get what you need for doing the work so you're stuck chasing them down and hoping one will give you it.

Make it so DOB workers and CMU workers have easier access to gain social credits, much like the CWU.
Encourage people creating events for stores, blood drives, medical donations. Reward RP instead of grind. I've seen some loyalists with shocking rp quality (coming from me of all people) in decent tier loyalist positions because they simply grinded their way through the system.

I'm not even a loyalist but watching many of them in-game looks pretty depressing:

-Stands outside the factory for work shift for an hour
-Walks in circles around Triumph
-Walks into slums
-Dies

As others have said, giving the loyalists more goals/motivation to be loyalists would help improve the roleplay, but that can only be done through a massive overhaul.

Been in the works. Just no-one does anything so hard to set up. And if it's not mandatory like 6 people show. LA meets are just gonna have afterparties I think. Because people don't get on otherwise

CMRU has an active lead. But, she doesn't do much you're right. I know a shit ton of employee complaining. Especially about SC. Good idea.

Idea, I know it's gonna sound bias because I'm current DA. But, once a DA does his term and is trusted. Give him another job in CCA like deputy Minister. Adding more trusted people to the roster. And since DA is voted in it's the most influential chars, that actually have personalities. So it will help Loyalist RP since its trickles down.

Okay, I have an interesting take. As much as I love @Noodle and @Furious ...

BRING BACK CCA ELECTIONS

They were only supposed to be for a one year term, and have lasted much more.
I appreciate all they've done for the faction, but there is no change.

Some of the best RP I ever experienced was @Merlinsclaw and his Futurism shit
and while not directly related, shows something interesting that many people didn't see.

POLITICS RP CAN BE FUN

The DA election was some of the best RP I've experienced for a long time on willard, but we could have done so much more.
Let people be voted in and out of power, is someone shit at their job? Great, opportunities for
immense character development, rebel plots, deceit and lies. Change up faction leads every once in a while
and bring us away from this stagnation

What's the point of developing your character if you'll never advance? There's nothing to grind for except better rations and treatment.

I couldn't agree more holy shit. DA election was the best RP ever. Elections would bring so much RP. People talking to get rep for votes, back-end deals. Policy deals. If you watched House of Cards you know. Corruption between officials, brides. Like just imagine the possibilities. Loyalist RP revive simple solution.

Okay Make SCS Be Able To Earned By Rations Like Coupons, As An Indonesian I Cant Do A Lot Of Workshifts Or Work Due To Timezone.
