I’m sure we all appreciate the members of the administrative team; they help us when we need and resolve our issues. They plan fun events for the server and ensure we have a good time; however, I need to stress that some ‘events’ simply ruin events that players have planned.
I understand how sometimes spicing certain things up by means of introducing a rogue element such as a rebel can be fun, but this is detrimental in several factors, not only for players but other aspects of the server.
No, it’s not fun, nobody enjoys these types of events. You’re ruining the experience for players by being destructive to player created events that are going on.
Today we had prepared an Assembly meeting, a large one, we had prepared speeches and an agenda we wanted to push and had prepared it OOCly for some time, it was part of greater things to happen. We’re going to allow an audience inside to allow people to watch to assist in improving CityRP.
But then waltzes in the Admin Rebel, waking towards the Nexus with their asspulled explosive, ready to enjoy a good time of ruining roleplay. And ruin he did, he gets shot and when the CPs inspect the bomb it goes off and kills a few people.
The result was that the meeting (Which was already delayed by an hour due to the crash), has now been suspended and is probably delayed for an entire week due to scheduling constraints. It seems that Admins don’t consider how their actions are detrimental to other players at all… which is a shame.
This isn’t the only instance when this happened, the Loyalist Banquet is another example, I have a feeling this was done just because we allowed an audience inside, we do our best to improve CityRP and get punished by it?
I think this thread should be used to form an internal discussion with the staff team on how events should be ran, and that things like these should be prevented.
I’m sure other people can voice their complaints in this thread.
