Tried to speak calmly- get excuses of why it happened and the thread locked.

Hurl insults at staff- they actually respond and address the actual issues of the problem.

Staff wonder why players are supposedly so quick to go to outrage instead of discussion, yet they only really respond to one. They made the system work the way it does, then penalize you for doing and saying what needs to be said and done.

To put it bluntly; staff fucking suck. They volunteered for this 100% of their own volition yet act line you’re an inconvenience to them when you approach them. They ignore you, insult you, dogpile you, then lock the thread when they’re done. They don’t even redirect you, you just get ignored. They volunteer for this, yet will state outrightly they simply do not care. Yet, for some reason they still make these decisions and moves as if they’re some benevolent being, when really they just don’t give a shit, and prefer to keep the power in their hands. They won’t answer your ticket, but they’ll noclip to around the corner and walk around at the perfect time that character is needed. They won’t answer your DM, but they’ll lock your thread before you can respond to their “This is my decree” post which usually entails shitting on the person, their idea, or sometimes just a random picture.

My staff app was just denied even though in my app I express these issues. After it was denied, it was still open so I responded to NIX explaining basically what I just had now, that the only reason I went to insults was because no one listened to the discussion. No response, nothing, simply saying in the denial “I would talk to you, but I fear I have the same faith if I would” completely blind to the fact he just exemplified the very ivory tower I spoke of in my application. Basically just telling me that because I spoke in the only way staff actually responds- I get punished.

I find this personally hurtful after moving to help you and the OSF.

It isn't inherently just myself, it's multiple staff who've come forward to say that a wrong is going to be corrected.

For the most part, this is directed at staff with Creative Team tacked on. Honestly, the majority of my interactions with GMs have been phenomenal, and actually fun or helpful. But staff will do this little funny thing when you try to call them out, they’ll go “Oh, well that was due to a lore decision by the Creative Team…” instead of owning up to fuckups. I’m sorry you and the others who wanted to help were lumped into this complaint, if it’s any of the CT, it’s a small enough minority where I don’t think I could even name the specific members.

Though what I will say with CT, is the fact y’all will have characters just randomly appear that are Tier 5+, and it’s discouraging to players who don’t recognize these guys as any of the people they’ve attended shifts with, seen in stores, etc.

Thank you for your help, Key. Once again, I am sorry to lump to and all of the CT in on this, I’m just hoping to get the message across. I hope this reply will be seen by everyone who sees the post in the first place, as this clarification is an important one.

Multiple people in staff have come forward and are willing to help and rectify this. Believe me when I say movement and planning is glacial, but with experience I can say almost everything regarding administration everywhere is glacial because of extensive planning. We all try our best. And the 'best' wavers from day to day. We all have bad and good days.

You have some valid concerns, but this rampage and obnoxious use of slurs isn't the reason they're being listened to, and we're not gonna even entertain the idea that such venomous and toxic behavior is what causes change. What it's doing is goading negative reactions from staff.

A lot of this stuff is internally debated so that we can approach the community with a collected response to work towards fixes. The discussion was already being made prior to your outburst of hurtful comments.

Y’all are both right, these generalizations aren’t right. I will say though, it’s hard not to generalize staff when it’s just this oligarchy that starts a conversation publicly and will then just go and speak amongst themselves and just come back with an already reached consensus. These generalizations are made because staff presents themselves as a general entity. There are pros and cons of this, and it doesn’t make what I did right, but it makes it harder to see the individual when they don’t even include you in their actual discussion regarding your matter.

My main point has always been these teams, staff and creative, need to be more open with every aspect of their process. Of course there are times y’all are to discuss alone, however this doesn’t need to be every time. This is for the good of arms of the server, staff, GMs, and players.

TBH I didn't know enough about it or the whole OSF debacle to agree or disagree, but I respected you for caring about your RP.

Like BRUH, I made *multiple* admin abuse threads, ban appeals, and an entire meme thread joking about admins being CPs and banned players being rebels....but I never attacked peeps *personally,* or blamed the whole WN staff, or spewed toxicity at anyone.

At the end of the day it's a game. And even if you don't agree with the people who judge the rules of the game (admins), doesn't mean you should go out of your way to hurt them or certain CT staff with a thread.




Nothing personal man, but It's really disappointing to see this thread, cuz you seemed like a cool player. I did this for me, not them. Complain in the discord? Get shit on, get told to go to forums. Complain on the forums? Get shit on, told you’re doing it incorrectly.
I make a thread call “Cry About It” where I’m just venting out my frustrations (crying about it, since apparently that wasn’t obvious?) and clarifying to anyone who responds, and yet I’m still seen as in the wrong.

I’ve had a lot of staff personally have it out for me on several occasions, whether it’s spawning a poison headcrab directly behind me or treating me different ICly, to me that’s where the line is crossed. I have many opinions about many people, but I never treat a character differently in game because of my OOC feelings. Me personally? I really couldn’t give a fuck what people say about me, or if they like or dislike me, it’s when they don’t say shit and just treat you worse, that I care about. You may dislike it, and even I know I’m wrong in hindsight, but I’m always upfront with how I feel about the person or situation. I don’t want it to affect the fun of the actual game, so I’m real when I’m not in the game. That’s how I prefer others are with me, but it seems like everyone has to be everyone’s friend instead of just acknowledging that two people can just mutually dislike each other, and it’s fine as long as it doesn’t effect the actual gameplay.

And I think y’all are being too sensitive about faggot. That’s just an opinion of mine that I really don’t think you can change anytime soon, but to fit Willard’s standard I shall now use retard :].

You’re just not reading then, lol. This thread isn’t really about the other threads, it’s once again, me venting out frustrations and clarifying to anyone who’ll actually read the threads rather than the title and the last page of replies. Long story short; OSF got shafted hardcore leading to a big upheaval amongst OSF, the original thread was locked by Kaffee and I had assumed Robert due to his reply saying he may lock it, and Kaffee not even being involved in the thread, and for what’s basically no reason. Little did I know they were already discussing how they’re fixing the issue, but instead of telling us and letting us continue the thread, they allude to it and lock the thread. This lead to the subsequent threads, one being rightfully removed because of me digging into Robert, thinking he had been the one to randomly lock it. And this anger is the culmination of months worths of being shafted or screwed over in the smallest ways to the biggest.

This thread is me crying about it. This thread is me venting out the bullshittery I’ve experienced over these months.
