Admin wrote it, not us. After seeing multiple gonomes we decided that going too deep into slums is a very bad idea. At first the only safe areas within slums was the square and corridor areas which is the area you've mostly see us in the screenshots you've provided. The same area we stuck around at from time to time for a few reasons. Explosive barrels, that one rebel, our restrictor getting destroyed so we had to push back the zombies, setting up turrets. So, have the combine declared it a lost cause or not? Mixed signals right now.![]()
I'm sure there were good intentions behind this event, but I'm struggling to find out what they are. It all feels incredibly restrictive for players and not very well thought out. Not sure if the slum apartments being burned down for X amount of times now and being totally propblocked is part of this event, but I'm not touching that.
this post is incredibly one sided and out of the loop. are you saying rebels wanted this event because there's nothing to do? or are you saying there's more to do in the city because there definitely isn't. this "event" ended up propblocking half of everyone's flag-off points and containers, while relentlessly spamming zombies in an utterly unfun zombie survival gamemode way where nobody has guns cus its all locked in their containers, and if they did have their guns, cops would suddenly get brave and sweep the zombie infested indigent zoneThe simple truth of it is - as the staff team are now realising - RebelRP cannot sustain a server by its lonesome. In the short term it can, but long term they have even less to do than the city and that isn't good for anyone. The problem is that rebels - and slum dwellers - have no reason to come to the city and help make roleplay there, even if it benefits everyone if they did.
After all they have guns, gear, access to loot spawns, food and water. They can be entirely self sufficient without ever needing to come back to the city and the longer they stay there the more people will go there for roleplay and the worse the impact will be. V4 is only going to compound on this issue because the slums are even larger.
As sloppy as this event seemed they genuinely don't have much of a choice but to try and force the balance to shift back or the server will gradually die.
Thanks for adding quite literally nothing to the conversationJust like.. Kill them.
