Title.
In my opinion, the ability to radio (and even talk) when it's not your turn in TBC makes no sense. You're not allowed to move or shoot, but you're able to transmit vital information that could be used to gain advantage over your enemy.

For instance, you ambush two cops near one of the residential blocks and they immediately spam into their radios "11-99!" and their location during warmup, causing every CP in the server to rush to your location, and by the time the arriving units' delay is over, you've barely killed one. Not to mention that the other units would probably surround you and block off your escape routes, too.

The reason I'm not grouping talking in with radioing is because talking actually has a limit, that being distance. Radios don't have a limited distance they can transmit to, meaning everyone who's on your frequency and anywhere on the map can hear your transmission.

I think radioing should cost one turn due to how "powerful" it is. It'd cause people to strategize differently with the new handicap of not being able to describe practically everything that's going on while they wait for their turn.

If we're doing based TBC suggestions, I will add my piece:

Disallow being able to look around unless its your turn; essentially freeze your view in place till its your turn.

Ambushes suck cause literally everyone and your mother has a shit ton of time to look around and spot threats when its not their turn.

But our TBC developer is busy so uhh... this will be shelved for quite a bit.

As long as you can still type when it’s not your turn im ok with this suggestion. Because you can talk much faster than you can type so I think you could type up a short message in warmup and hit enter when it’s your turn

I actually suggested this (way back in the willard beta before the server actually opened) and Atle himself said no

Maybe you can type one message and enter it before your turn, which then plays once it's your turn. Except radioing. I think that should take an AP. (Though that sounds like a pain in the ass to develop so it might not be possible)

Denied.
While this would help out combat and prevent players from calling backup mid-fight without timescaling, it presents various other issues when it comes to any form of chatter in general, not to mention the complexity of detecting radio, IC chat and OOC chats usage, and possibly even affecting /me's, so there are a few things to consider. We understand that radioing mid-combat can be annoying and unfair in some cases, it is not exactly an easy issue to fix and could cause other issues down the line.
