Hello, your fellow DOB lead here!!!
To preface- your voices have been heard! We've done a lot of behind the scenes discussions and want to hear all of your input in this single forum thread.
To be brutally honest here- yes, the i17 event was a clusterfuck. We weren't given a lot of time to set ourselves up in i17, and essentially had to throw out whatever stores we could to people last minute. There was interference from other parties, our office was set up for us in an area on the catwalks that was unreachable, it made equipment management nearly untenable, and the list goes on. It was an absolute mess.
But because of this, we want to come back on c24 stronger than ever and refine our system to be a LOT more player friendly. Our biggest hope is to make running a store more engaging and, ultimately, more fun.
We've heard your suggestions regarding more independent stores, renting out particular stores themselves instead of relying solely on permanent tenancy, etc. and there are good ideas that we will VERY likely be implementing in some form. The organizational aspects of the DOB will eventually be managed again, but that leaves one very important question I wish to ask the community and would love to focus in on:
What do YOU believe will make operating a store more fun and engaging and less sitting behind a counter and afk'ing until someone walks up?
Any and all suggestions are welcome, no matter how good, bad, big or small you think it might be. We will read them all!
